I still feel something was happening to that guy, go back and watch his face as the Pope was speaking.

I am asking everyone to please not respond. We have enough threads on the forum that cover all if this stuff. Can we please keep this thread as a positive one to share the joy, the happiness and the peace that is very palpable in this city right now. The sense and feeling of good will is more than I've seen and sensed in a long time. Let's savor it because we know it will not last. Thank you.

Something I learned last nite. The balcony papa Francis spoke from is the Speakers balcony. Whatever party is in control has full rights of the balconies use...pretty cool going away gift. They say its the Best view of DC, even better than the White House balcony view:)

Let me quickly say that my conscience is bothering me for the shouting. Pic - I meant no personal offense to you but if that is how it cones across I beg your forgiveness. I have in a sense a zeal that this thread remain above the fray at least while the pope is here. Peace.

Peace and joy...i had a dream last night. I was standing in front of a man who looked very sad. I said to him be happy :) the Pope is here. He smiled.

Strange dream but I think appropriate.

    "THE SCANDAL OF MERCY

... Jesus Christ was a scandal, but not to the pagans. No, the pagans followed Him because He would love them, touch them, heal them, feed them, and dine in their houses. Sure, they didn’t understand who He was: they thought He was a prophet, Elijah, or a political saviour. Rather, it was the teachers of the law who were offended by Christ. For Jesus did not damn the adulteress, scorn the tax collector, or chide the lost. Rather, He forgave them, welcomed them, and sought them out..."

Keep smiling and bring joy...where there is dreams, where there is joy, Jesus is always present. Who brings sadness...the devil. He destroys dreams...where happiness is Jesus is there.

Let us pray that everyone feels the joy and peace at hearts. May Our Lady protect you.

    Great speech at harlem school.

    Love you Papa Francis :)

just heard from my wife who is now in Central Park awaiting the Pope to pass by. I understand there are well over 100,000 people in there. She had to wait in line about 5 hours and she said people all around were joyful and singing and offering the little hardship up. So I definitely know because of the joy my wife is reporting that Jesus is absolutely present in NYC.

Wow! What an incredible scene that was watching the Holy Father come through Central Park with some 100,000 cheering. CNN reporter said the noise of the crowd was just immense and again smiles and joy. And now he goes to Madison Square Garden for his final event in NYC, the holy Mass. I don't know- maybe it's me and being overly enthusiastic, but I sense the Pope's message of mercy, and love- which is really Jesus' message is hitting NY's squarely in the heart and maybe hearts are melting and opening a bit to Jesus. I want to believe that right now. I have that hope. Praise be Jesus Christ now and forever!

NBC reporting the huge Chalice to be used at tonights Mass is the same one Pope Paul used in 1965 at Yankee stadium

"If we want security let us give security" Pope Francis to Congress. This made me think of St John of the Cross: "Where there is no love, put love, and there you will find love."

Wife and her sister just arrived home from long day in NYC, but a day they said they would long remember. They really did not get very close to the Pope - they saw him pass by but she said the distance did not matter. She felt the energy and Holy Spirit. Now NY can be a tough and sometime gruff place. She said lines were long and wait was long. But not one complaint was heard. She saw joy radiating from all and people in small groups while on line praying. But, we received an unexpected and nice gift tonight- our friend sent us this picture snapped by a PO friend. Pretty awesome. View attachment 3498

  19. He is so even in the midst of it all that it's almost otherworldly! Somehow he radiates Jesus Christ and the PEACE that surpasses understanding!

Thank you Lord Jesus! We love You in Papa Francisco!!!!
