I am afraid I have not been able to train them too much though I was able to train others , the most I can get from them is to sit for a sausage. But as guard dogs they do not need training as guard dogs as they are naturally superb at this. I can why the Japanese Samurai loved them they are not natural warriors. There is a wonderful true story about them which I post below..and a film. The Akitas are named after the Japanese Province of Akita were the Blessed Virgin appeared. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachikō In 1924, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo, took Hachikō, a golden brown Akita, as a pet. Ueno would commute daily to work, and Hachikō would leave the house to greet him at the end of each day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued the daily routine until May 1925, when Ueno did not return. The professor had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, while he was giving a lecture, and died without ever returning to the train station in which Hachikō would wait. Each day, for the next nine years, nine months and fifteen days, Hachikō awaited Ueno's return, appearing precisely when the train was due at the station. Hachikō attracted the attention of other commuters. Many of the people who frequented the Shibuya train station had seen Hachikō and Professor Ueno together each day. Initial reactions from the people, especially from those working at the station, were not necessarily friendly. However, after the first appearance of the article about him on October 4, 1932 in Asahi Shimbun, people started to bring Hachikō treats and food to nourish him during his wait.[5] Publication One of Ueno's students, Hirokichi Saito, who developed expertise on the Akita breed, saw the dog at the station and followed him to the Kobayashi home, the home of Ueno's former gardener, Kikuzaboro Kobayashi,[6]) where he learned the history of Hachikō's life. Shortly after the meeting, the former student published a documented census of Akitas in Japan. His research found only 30 purebred Akitas remaining, including Hachikō from Shibuya Station. He returned frequently to visit Hachikō and over the years, he published several articles about the dog's remarkable loyalty. In 1932, one of his articles, published in Asahi Shimbun, placed the dog in the national spotlight. Hachikō became a national sensation. His faithfulness to his master's memory impressed the people of Japan as a spirit of family loyalty to which all should strive to achieve. Teachers and parents used Hachikō's vigil as an example for children to follow. A well-known Japanese artist rendered a sculpture of the dog, and throughout the country, a new awareness of the Akita breed grew. Eventually, Hachikō's legendary faithfulness became a national symbol of loyalty, particularly to the person and institution of Emperors.[7] Death Last known photo of Hachikō - pictured with his owner's wife Yaeko Ueno (front row, second from right) and station staff in mourning in Tokyo on March 8, 1935. Hachikō died on March 8, 1935 at the age of 11 based on his date of birth. He was found on a street in Shibuya.[8] In March 2011, scientists finally settled the cause of death of Hachikō: the dog had both terminal cancer and a filaria infection. There were also four yakitori skewers in Hachikō's stomach, but the skewers did not damage his stomach or cause his death.[9][10]
Wonderful information and wonderful pictures. I want to get another dog and my husband is against it because we do a lot of traveling and he worries about leaving a dog and the care and upkeep etc. I think dogs have a keen sense of the spiritual--your story about the drug addict threatening you and the dogs fiercely creating a safe zone for you. We had a wonderful dog many years ago who was half afghan hound and half golden retriever. We got him from the pound and didn't even know what kind of puppy we had til he started to grow. He had such a keen sense for good and evil. He instinctively knew. Strangers would want to pet him and I'd have to warn them away because he didn't always like strangers--especially if he picked up a bad vibe. Like your dogs, he never barked but he would stand very still and stare and curl back his lip. Fiercely protective of our children. Intelligent, noble...just a wonderful dog. I wonder how easy it would be to find an Akita puppy around here. Most everyone has a lab or a golden or a designer mix like labradoodles.
Recent Messages- February 17th-20th, 2017 4430 - Message of Our Lady Queen of Peace, February 17, 2017 Dear children, listen to the Voice of the Lord and be docile to His Inspirations. The Way of the Lord leads to Salvation. Take care of your spiritual life and do not allow the darkness of sin to lead you away from the Path of Grace. Do not forget: while Noah, out of obedience to the Lord, was building the Ark, men mocked him and persecuted his family; when the Ark was ready and the Great Flood came, all perished and great was the suffering of all the unfaithful. My Son Jesus came to the world to bring you Salvation. Mankind was living in darkness and the Father was able to save by sending the Beloved Son. My Jesus came to open Heaven for you. He founded His Church as the Ark of the New Covenant and entrusted it to Peter. In this Ark, which is the Church of My Jesus, you can find all the means necessary for your salvation. Enter it and never leave. Enemies are surrounding the Great Vessel, but no human force will destroy the True Ark of Jesus. As I told you in the past, the truth is kept intact only in the Catholic Church. Stay with the True Magisterium and do not follow those who, although they are within the Church, walk contrary to faith and truth. A great storm will come, but the True Church will remain faithful to My Son Jesus. Defeat will come for the false church and for all the traitors of the faith. To these my Jesus will say: 'away from Me, for I declared the Truth to you and you have taught lies.' Just as in the time of Noah, these will stay outside. I suffer for what comes to you. Bend your knees in prayer. Seek strength in the Words of My Jesus and in the Eucharist. With the Rosary in your hands, walk with Me and I will lead you to Him who is your Only Way, Truth and Life. Go forward in truth. This is the message I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed me to gather you here once more. I bless you, in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace. 4431 - Message of Our Lady Queen of Peace, February 18, 2017 Dear children, you are going to a future where only the lessons of the past will be your true direction. The bad shepherds will distance a great part of the flock from the truth, and many will walk blind leading the blind. The True Shepherd cares for His Flock and leads it on the safe path. Stay with the truth. Listen to the True Magisterium of the Church and everywhere testify that you are of My Son Jesus. Turn back to Him who loves you and knows you by name. Take care of your spiritual life and do not allow the things of the world to separate you from the Lord's Grace. You belong to the Lord and Him alone should you follow and serve. Encourage one another and take my My Appeals to everyone. I do not want to force you, but listen to Me. Do not depart from prayer, for only through the power of prayer can you endure the trials that are to come. Onward. I will be with you. This is the message I am giving you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed me to gather you here once more. I bless you, in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace. 4432 - Message of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Aracruz, February 20, 2017 Dear children, My Jesus needs your public and courageous testimony. Do not be discouraged. You are not alone. Give me your hands and I will lead you to Him who is your Only True Savior. As Moses led the people through the wilderness obeying the Lord's Command, My Jesus needs courageous men in His Church to lead the people along the Path of Truth. Moses was faithful and his faithfulness led the people to liberation. You, Pastors of the Church of My Jesus, take the True Teachings to the people. Do not separate the people from the Way of Salvation. You cannot please men by stifling the truth. Encourage one another. Imitate John the Baptist and do not be afraid. In God there is no half-truth. I am your Mother and I have come from Heaven to bring you to Heaven. Be meek and humble of heart. Those who remain faithful will be proclaimed Blessed of the Father. Remain faithful in prayer. I will pray to My Jesus for you. Open your hearts and accept God's Will for your lives. Turn away from the world and serve the Lord faithfully. After all tribulation, the Lord will wipe away your tears and you will see the Wonders of His Works. Go forward in the defense of truth. This is the message I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed Me to gather you once more. I bless you, in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace.
The slow boiling frog....the watering down of the faith over these many years. It's what's been happening.

These are such very, very confusing and difficult times. More and more I see the profound need need to stay with the Lord in prayer constantly for an anchor in these times of Darkness. I was listening to a very learned and famous Bishop the other day who was saying he spends an hour in Adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament every morning. In the ordinary course of events I would take thins as a sure fire insurance policy that the Bishop would always remain orthodox in his teaching and Faith. Yet the same Bishop has said , publically, that he believes no one may actually be in hell. More recently he told a homosexual interviewer that he would not like to see the laws enabling homosexual marriage rescinded. Frankly I find this frightening, that someone a Bishop who I once had the highest respect for should say such things. Not so much that a Catholic Bishop should come out with such things, no , sadly, given the state of the Church this is no surprise. No. But what does dismay me is that a soul , spending an hour in Adoration each day should say such a thing and hold such beliefs this does profoundly shake me. A great, great, great darkness has come upon us. We need to pray a very great deal indeed.
If a famous Catholic Bishop and Theologian like Bishop Barron in the safety of a TV interview with no prescriptions against Freedom of Speech whatsoever will not stand up for the Teachings of the Catholic Church in a straightforward and non embarrassed manner what chance has he or any of his flock when the hard times come , time of persecution when we might be sent to prison or even shed our blood for our beliefs? It is not going to happen. Matthew 10:32 Confessing Christ 31So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. 32Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven. 33But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.… http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article...pope-benedict-gay-marriage-clear-and-emphatic St. Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the future Pope Benedict XVI. (AP) (CNSNews.com) -- All Catholics are “obliged to oppose the legal recognition of homosexual unions” and where such unions are given the legal status and rights that belong to marriage, “clear and emphatic opposition is a duty,” said St. Pope John Paul II in a 2003 letter issued by then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the current Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. In addition to Catholics in general having a duty to clearly oppose homosexual marriage, a Catholic politician “has a moral duty to express his opposition clearly and publicly and to vote against” such unions, and if it already is the law, the politician still must oppose it and has a “duty to witness to the truth,” said St. Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. “The common good requires that laws recognize, promote and protect marriage as the basis of the family, the primary unit of society,” said St. Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) in the March 2003 document, Considerations Regarding Proposals to Give Legal Recognition to Unions Between Homosexual Persons. “Legal recognition of homosexual unions or placing them on the same level as marriage would mean not only the approval of deviant behavior, with the consequence of making it a model in present-day society, but would also obscure basic values which belong to the common inheritance of humanity,” the letter states. “The Church cannot fail to defend these values, for the good of men and women and for the good of society itself,” reads the letter. St. Pope John Paul II approved the Considerations on March 28, 2003 and ordered its publication. The document was subsequently released through the office of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, then-headed by Card. Ratzinger, on June 3, 2003. (AP Photo.) The letter begins by explaining that “homosexuality is a troubling moral and social phenomenon,” and especially so where gay unions are given legal recognition and include “the possibility of adopting children.” The Considerations, it states, “provide arguments drawn from reason which could be used by Bishops in preparing more specific interventions” for “protecting and promoting the dignity of marriage, the foundation of the family, and the stability of society,” of which marriage between one man and one woman “is a constitutive element.” “No ideology can erase from the human spirit the certainty that marriage exists solely between a man and a woman,” say St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict. “Men and women are equal as persons and complementary as male and female,” they wrote. Through marriage, a man and woman use the “sexual faculty” to become one flesh and potentially produce children. “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife and they become one flesh” (Gen 2:24), reads the letter, adding that God “blessed the man and the woman with the words ‘Be fruitful and multiply’ (Gen 1:28). Therefore, in the Creator's plan, sexual complementarity and fruitfulness belong to the very nature of marriage.” Given the natural complementarity between man and woman and the procreative potential of their union through marriage, “[t]here are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God's plan for marriage and family.” “Marriage is holy, while homosexual acts go against the natural moral law,” states the letter. “Homosexual acts ‘close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.’” Because homosexual unions lack the biological and anthropological elements of marriage and family, reason alone dictates that they cannot be given “legal recognition,” reads the Considerations. “Such unions are not able to contribute in a proper way to the procreation and survival of the human race.” “Society owes its continued survival to the family, founded on marriage,” reads the letter. Thus, for “those situations where homosexual unions have been legally recognized or have been given the legal status and rights belonging to marriage, clear and emphatic opposition is a duty,” state the two popes. “One must refrain from any kind of formal cooperation in the enactment or application of such gravely unjust laws and, as far as possible, from material cooperation on the level of their application,” they said. “In this area, everyone can exercise the right to conscientious objection.” As for Catholic politicians, they also are “obliged” in a “particular way” to oppose homosexual unions or homosexual marriages. “When legislation in favor of the recognition of homosexual unions is proposed for the first time in a legislative assembly, the Catholic law-maker has a moral duty to express his opposition clearly and publicly and to vote against it,” states the letter. “To vote in favor of a law so harmful to the common good is gravely immoral.” “When legislation in favor of the recognition of homosexual unions is already in force, the Catholic politician must oppose it in the ways that are possible for him and make his opposition known; it is his duty to witness to the truth,” state Pope Benedict and St. Pope John Paul II. Pope Francis and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. (AP) Pope John Paul II served as Pope of the Catholic Church from October 1978 to April 2005. He was canonized a Saint in April 2014. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger served as head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith under Pope John Paul II from 1981 to 2005. Cardinal Ratzinger was elected Pope Benedict XVI in 2005 and resigned in February 2013, citing his advanced age, 85. He was the first Pope to resign since Gregory XII in 1415. Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, currently 78 years old, was elected Pope Francis in March 2013. In 2010, Cardinal Bergoglio (Pope Francis) said that a proposal to legalize same-sex marriage in Argentina was “destructive of the plan of God” and was “a ‘move’ of the Father of Lies who wishes to confuse and deceive the children of God.” The “Father of Lies” reference comes from the Gospel of John (8:44), where Jesus refers to Satan as “a liar and the father of lies.”
But this is not the stand Bishop Barron is taking in his interview with homosexual Dave Reubin.. Far, far from it.
This is a great example of why the Church has no moral authority any longer. Again>>>> HALF TRUTHS... Jesus clearly spoke on evils such as adultery and sodomy as grave sin and then said "'GO AND SIN NO MORE". Nope, not Bishop Barren. It is simple appeasement out of fear. Fear of not being popular. Watch out, it is coming our way soon enough! Read Pedro Regis' message above from February 20th. He once again gives us the model of St. John the Baptist who lost his head (literally) in defense of marriage and against adultery.
Exactly! Would Jesus have spoken like this?? Absolutely not! There is not one verse in scripture where Jesus did not clearly teach the truths of the Father and was eventually killed for it.
View attachment 6168 Just praising God the Eternal Father tonight! Very thankful for answers to prayer and for the indwelling of His Spirit in the face of the onslaught of evil in the world. Thankful that the Blessed Mother directed my son to the right house for him to buy. (It had only been on the market for 4 or 5 hours) Thankful for this forum.
Yes God is still working. At least we have the windscreen wipers of prayer so at least we can see what is happening and can avoid the evils before us. Most of our Catholic sisters and brothers are being led to the slaughter, like blind mice by the very shepherds set over them. I try to be positive but the state of the Church is very, very dire indeed. In meltdown, in fact
