It's my opinion and my experience that everyone has globalist PTSD and Pope Francis played his role in it during his entire tenure. So I find it understandable to see how people are quick to get worked up. Everyone is hopeful of a good pope but also knows what has been the status quo. As time goes on and if PLXIV continues to make common sense statements and actions everyone will relax a bit. Personally, I already have a sense of relief from a lot of his actions and statements. I hope if he continues with synodality and inclusivity it is done in an open and genuine manner. I think a lot of good can come from synodality if it is done honestly. I also think if he is upsetting people on both sides of the divide he is probably doing a good job.

Is Pope Leo brave enough to tackle the German problem? Summoning one man is an easy option. The church in Germany is already in 'schism' (their final synodal is proof of this) & this needs to be tackled head on without compromise. Unity comes from Christ, the head. That individuals, Parishes and even dioceses have strayed from the truth and are schismatic does not detract from the unity of the mystical body. The Pope is given the keys to preserve the deposit of faith and to proclaim it calling all members to subscribe to revealed dogma. The best thing Pope Leo could do in my opinion is to abandon the synodal way, a trojan horse introduced by progressives in an attempt to change the deposit of faith.
Perhaps Pope Leo could get Archbishop Vigano to sign the oath against modernism . https://www.papalencyclicals.net/pius10/p10moath.htm (oath against modernism, 1910). I think Vigano would sign no problems. But I doubt sincerely if the majority of the German hierarchy would. Or indeed many bishops and archbishops around the world. The Africans would sign.
As far as I know, a heretical final document was signed by most of the German bishops at the last synodal meeting. Even Pope Francis had condemned some of the demands as too far-reaching. These bishops should be asked to distance themselves from these decisions and leave the German synodal path. Those who do not do so should be encouraged to convert to the Protestants or the Old Catholic Church. There they will find everything they want.
This can be looked at another way. It is also my understanding that Archbishop Vigano is currently excommunicated. The possibility exists that Pope Leo, who I've heard is expert in Canon Law, is keen that he be at least given 'a fair trial'. I don't think that the outcome will be definitive, one way or the other. Saint Pope John Paul II excommunicated Archbishop Lefebvre and rigidly oppressed his Order, but that didn't make JPII a 'dictator pope', as Francis was described. To be honest, I wouldn't be worried if Pope Leo turns out to be another 'dictator pope' as long as his diktats are Catholic. Pope Leo XIV might not be the Pope that many here would like him to be. He seems quite Vatican IIish. But we're recovering from a pope who could plausibly be considered unCatholic and even openly hostile to Catholicism. A Pope who is, at least, Catholic and possessing the best interests of The Church in his heart, isn't a very high bar, but it would do for now. PS: read down and saw the reference to 2024!! Pope Leo really needs our sacrifices and prayers. He is going to need the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Sampson and the leadership skills of Moses to steer a correct path for the Church in these demonic times. I do believe only a Marian Pope will have all of these qualities as he will have been shaped by the Mother of our Lord into the likeness of her son. After all Solomon, Sampson and Moses were precursors of the One who was to come the Logos incarnate our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
But justice and the Truth says it all. I will not feel guilt for the feeling in the pit in my stomach. We are in a time of heresy and worse. Should we have acted like that with Francis? Shut our eyes and ears and clutch with hope when the elephant in the room is jumping. I will not badmouth anyone but there is nothing wrong with being prudent and to pray for Pope Leo as we wait. Jesus is the Truth. Only Jesus.
You say this perfectly. I have gotten this strong sense in prayer almost as if to paraphrase Ben Franklin to the new Americans: " well you've got a republic. Now let's see if you can keep it." I have committed to pray a Rosary a day for him. But I know I must offer up some mortification as well.
I am with you on this, non sum dignus; dicasteries within the Vatican might not have every action rubber-stamped by the Pope. I really don't know. Best to take things one step at a time from our angle. I personally respected Vigano's courage, but not surprised by the Vatican's harsh response. Come Holy Spirit and govern over this sorry situation.
