While the whole prophecy is profound, because it came from God, I particularly like this sentence, as I think many Trad's could fall into this trap: Those who deny my church’s teachings, whether labeled liberals or traditionalists, are promoting heresy. Pray for these souls. Rejecting or defaming Vatican II would be promoting heresy.
I believe that provided the Mass is valid, the level of grace we receive depends on us. Any abuse committed by the priest is his sin. Any irreverence on our part is our sin. Any defections in the liturgy of the Novus Ordu are the sins of the hierarchy. The Holy Sacrifice itself is as perfect today as it was 2000 years ago - the pure and perfect offering re-presented to God the Father at every valid Mass. Is the TLM more pleasing to God? Probably if it is offered with due reverence. Will the all-merciful God vary the amount of grace available to us depending on the Rite of the Mass? I don't think so. I could be wrong. I'm certainly no expert, but I trust that God won't short-change us for going to a valid Mass. I've just watched a video of Patrick Coffin interviewing Fr. Mark Goring. I wish we could clone Fr. Goring. Here's the video:
That is troubling, Maryrose, and has caused me to change my mind about Communion in the hand. May the Lord have mercy on us all. Are you still in Poland?
With all due respect, I do not agree with this. You have quoted from a non- approved message. If the smoke of Satan had entered the Church, as Pope Paul VI said, and various approved prophesies warned of, why is it hard to believe that Satan had a major role to play in Protestantizing the Holy Sacrifice of the mass? Are you then accusing Bp Schneider of promoting heresy? +
Why do you think differently about the sacrament of baptism and the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist? If you believe that the sacrament of baptism in the old rite is more advantageous, why do you not believe that Mass in the old rite is similarly more advantageous? +
I get the impression that, despite the huge number of Bishops in the Church, the Pope is chosen from a very small subset of men who are marked out from very early in their clerical careers. It wouldn't be hard, therefore, for people with an agenda to befriend the most likely candidates long before they are promoted to the Episcopacy. That's most likely what happened. Popes are human and value friendship as much as the rest of us. Unfortunately, some of them have shown more loyalty to friends and former colleagues than to their sacred duty. Why, for example, is Hans Kung still a priest? As far as I know, priests/seminarians were permitted to take his courses in University up to the day he retired: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Küng He's just one example. Hesburgh of Notre Dame (friend of Pope Paul V1) is another. McCarrick and the group of Jesuits who signed the Land o'Lakes document should have been removed from the priesthood. Successive Popes have left all of them in place. We're told to trust that the Holy Spirit is guiding the Popes. When are our hierarchy going to lead by example and cut off the limb which offends Jesus and His Church, showing us that they have some faith that the Holy Spirit has their back? I find it hard to believe that the Modernists kept so far below the radar that nobody was aware of their leanings before the Vatican Council. It's more likely that they knew too much about too many influential members of the hierarchy. That kind of knowledge is power.
What I said was that I believe that the same grace is available to us from a valid Mass whether it be offered according to the old or new rite. From that perspective, the new rite of Baptism is equally valid because it contains the essential elements of the Sacrament and the child is "born again" and washed clean of original sin. I think that, especially in these times, the exorcism prayers would serve as a reminder to the parents/godparents that the Church continues to take seriously the dangers of the powers of darkness. The parents and godparents of Mario's grandson would know that but very many babies are born to parents who don't and have godparents who believe that birthday and Christmas presents is their only role in the child's life. Dropping Benediction ceremonies and removing Adorations from the main part of the Church is, I believe, a greater mistake. That contributed to the loss of faith in the Real Presence. Even in parishes where there are regular Adorations, priests don't promote it. I reckon that if Bishops were really concerned about the loss of faith in the Real Presence, they would be instructing priests to devote more homilies to it - at least as many homilies as we get about welcoming the stranger and caring for creation. The faithful should be encouraged to take advantage of Adorations to adore the Lord and bring our troubles to Him in the Blessed Sacrament.
According to malachi martin this is exactly how it worked. And still does. A lot of "grooming" goes on. So much is political. I'm rereading his novel Vatican. Very worth it to see how all this played out from 1945 through the reign of JPII. I think Our Lady of Fatima warned of these cataclysms but none of her requests were fulfilled. JXXIII's decision to not reveal the secret--the whole secret--in 1960 was the final blow. Also the opportunity to consecrate Russia with all the Bishops present in Rome at that time.
I still haven't read any of Malachi Martin's books. I can't get over his connection with Cardinal Bea, but it sure looks like he was telling the truth. Patrick Coffin has a video about the USCCB. It's a short video - only 10 minutes - but a must watch for any Catholic in the US. What Patrick Coffin omitted to mention was something covered by George Neumayr in a discussion with Taylor Marshall - that the USCCB wanted dioceses to increase their annual subscription to that body. The subscription for one diocese (I think it is Philadelphia) is $250,000. The Vatican gets the same amount. That's half a million dollars the diocese doesn't get to spend on pastoral work. Here's Patrick Coffin's video:
Dolores I'm home from Poland. It was a wonderful experience. We followed the footsteps of Pope John Paul and went to the convent and tomb of Sr Faustina. I always receive on the tongue and I pass no judgement on those who do otherwise as the church presently allows communion on the hand. I am conscious of giving example of reverence and I encourage my grandchildren to receive on the tongue. I am a eucharistic minister but only on rare occasions. I performed the part one day when in Poland at the request of the Priest. I'm not comfortable with it. I always remember seeing all those fragments and it was shocking. There is such carelessness and irreverence with Holy Communion
Thank you for your prayers for us in such a holy place, Maryrose. That was such a wonderful opportunity.
If anyone, including cardinals, bishops or priests reject that Vatican II was a valid council guided by the Holy Spirit, then yes, they are in heresy. Regardless if the message I provided has been officially approved or not is irrelevant, unless you can substantiate anything said in it that is not true. The message I provided gave ample justification why the smoke of Satan entered the Church and it was not because of VCII, as eloquently stated by God's message. The mass was not protestantized coming out of the council. Quite to the contrary it more fully taught the beauty of the liturgy and Mary, if anyone takes the time to read it. In all due respect, what I posted was beautifully stated by God for all who have ears to hear.
Yes I did pray for all your needs to St Faustina at her tomb and at the relics of the blood of St. Pope John Paul
Bishop Schneider has worked inside the Church. He is not working against the VII Council. He has "lived it" in his vocation. He is not in favor of some of the changes that have been made, perhaps, from sources other than the Council. He's not a heretic, and he's not in schism, and he's not radical in his approach. He believes in the True Magisterium.
I'm envious of your visit to Poland. I would love to visit there and have spent ages on the internet reading about it. The Poles are remarkable people. Some of the most humble and holy people I have met are Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. They're the people who bring Communion to the elderly and infirm. Thank you for including us in your prayers on your pilgrimage to Poland.
You'd be surprised, Dolours, at how small they can be. About a year ago I approached the Tabernacle at a nursing home to retrieve a pix in order to distribute Holy Communion to the residents. Right in front of the Tabernacle embedded in the rug, I noticed specs of white. Yes, some were particles of dust, but I retrieved at least 3 very small fragments from Hosts. Maybe they were dropped when someone was transferring Sacred Hosts from a ciborium to a pix, but there they were. So I prayed, and placed the fragments in water to dissolve. I had to discern carefully, but it was sad nonetheless. I do want to stress that I have dropped Hosts myself, and was horrified, Once I was distributing Holy Communion at Holy Mass and somehow when I selected a particular Sacred Host another flipped out. Of course, I was horrified. Proper decorum was followed in response, but I'm still not sure how it happened. Lord have mercy. As pertains Holy Communion in the hand, I know in the Eastern Churches that was more common early on, but even now, if you went to an Eastern Rite Catholic Church to receive Holy Communion, it is customary (as it has been for centuries) to venerate the Real Presence with a reverent bow and then the priest will distribute Holy Communion under both Species to you in your mouth via a spoon! So culture plays a role in the life of the Church. Part of the roots of genuflecting/kneeling to reverence the Lord in the West stems from the days of the feudal system. A vassal would kneel before his lord to pledge allegiance and fidelity while at the same time placing his hand under the lord's right thigh (see Gen 24:1-3). Our genuflection and kneeling reflects this honoring of our only Lord. Certainly, now the option of receiving in the hand in the West reflects a clear break with the development of Tradition. Safe in the Barque of Peter!
