I was listening to a talk by Fr. Wolfe recently and he was reciting quotes from some approved apparition. I forget which, but he said that not everyone will be able to see the truth and it will require a special Grace. I am honestly not sure why some can see what is happening and some cannot. Some are waking up and some are not. I remember it was just a couple of years ago that I would read something written by someone like Dr. Marshall or Patrick Coffin and it would make me very upset that they seemed blind. They woke up, but sadly some are not
Yes, Ayahuasca, Yage and Daime seem to be the same hallucinogenic concoction with different names in different countries in the Amazonian region. One plant is common to all three but other ingredients vary from tribe to tribe or region to region. I've read that DMT is the chemical in the plant which causes the hallucinations - something similar to magic mushrooms. It can be more or less potent depending on how it is consumed and what other plants are used to make the tea. Daime is a Class A drug, banned in most countries. Santo Daime churches are exempted from drugs law in the US on religious grounds. A Santo Daime church in Ireland tried and failed to get an exemption here. It's all very new age and reminds me of the pop stars of the '70s discovering Indian maharishis and transcendental meditation. No wonder it's so popular with some of our hierarchy of the Woodstock generation. I can't wait for them to reveal their plans for Mass in the new Amazonian Rite. New liturgical music?
I I Ponder this too. I keep coming back to Jesus's words to Pilate "He who is of the truth hears My voice" Poor Pilate was I believe truly baffled when he said What is truth? I think it was an honest question. I am so grateful for the grace but I have to say I feel extremely isolated all these years. So few can or will see it. Years ago you could engage people and open their minds. Now not so much. Hearts are closed to discussion let alone argument. This requires the Holy Spirit. "With men these things are impossible"
You describe it perfectly. Yesterday I was actually in a state. So strange because I am usually fairly calm and on an even keel but I felt like I would jump out of my skin. I couldnt stay at my holy hour it got so bad. As soon as I got home it went away. An attack? Or cumulative pain at the horror of what is going on? I dont know but I sure could have used a hug from Jesus. Very strange day yesterday.
They are trying to do what liberals always do. Redefine the argument. REPAM's statement: “In recent days, we have been victims of acts of violence, reflecting religious intolerance, racism, humiliation against indigenous peoples above all,” They are reframing what happened from a just act of removing pagan idols from a church into hate for Amazonians and racism. I am sure that by far the vast majority of Catholics who have lauded this effort have not one iota of hate for our Amazonian brothers and sisters. It is precisely for love of them that we cannot allow them to be denied true Catholicism and allow them to suffer through an unholy mix of pagan and Christian beliefs.
No, I know the video shows a few other people in there, but there is no one with authority such as a night watchman, etc. Someone who would know the idols were not to be taken without permission.
I think most people are being deceived though. How many people outside of our small "woke" groups even know what is going on? How many average churchgoers would protest if a prayer for the Earth were included in the Mass? Not many I think. Even the elect are being deceived. Out of 1.3 billion baptized Catholics, I would bet the number of people who can see what is going and would resist it is way down around the 10% mark. If even that.
The majority would not know the significance of a change in the liturgy, or even of the presence of an idol, so poor is their cathechisation. Their non-culpable ignorance might be a blessing for them. It is a long-held tradition of the Church, according to Ralph Martin, that many third world people who were improperly or poorly cathechised would not be held culpable for the errors involved. I see a very close parallel with many in the present Church who have been given such a pathetic account of their Faith. More worrying is the truth of your statement that quite a few of those who would appear to be in the ranks of the elect are being deceived. They, after all, are the ones who control the Church and most of the sheep will blindly follow them.
The Church wasn't empty. The man in the Rome Reports video said that he was in the church with a group of people (presumably part of the Amazonian contingent) when three men wearing workmen's clothes and carrying cameras came in and took the statues." The man in Rome Reports seems to be lying right from the start. There were no men in work clothes, the man who took the idols was wearing a pinstriped shirt, such as any lawyer in a courtroom or a business executive would wear.
Interesting. They might be trying to spin it as 'working class' populism. But, they can't even lie properly.
I think the goal of whoever originally said that was to paint the men who removed the idols as deceivers and thieves. As common criminals, rather than pious young men who dressed well, operated in full sight of everyone and genuflected before the church tabernacles as they performed the task. I noticed they did not even hide the idols in a bag to remove them, but carried them out in the open in their arms. Nor did they go right across the street to dump them in the Tiber, but walked several blocks to the bridge commemorating Our Lord's Passion in front of the Castel Sant'Angelo. Symbolism was rife here, not cowardly clandestine operations.
Listen to this famous Brazilian Catholic journalist, and ex-Baptist, give his opinions on this fake synod. He's brilliant.
There are so many scripture passages of the Lord telling the prophets how much He detests idols. How is it that some of the clergy defend their presence? They must not have ever read the prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah 7: 7-14 The Lord speaking "Are you to steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to baal, go after strange gods that you know not, and yet come to stand before Me in this House which bears My Name, and say: "We are safe; we can commit all these abominations again? Has this House which bears My Name become in your eyes a den of thieves? I too see what is being done, says the Lord, because you did not listen, though I spoke to you untiringly; because you did not answer, though I called you, I will do to this house Named after Me, in which you trust, and to this place which I gave to you and your fathers, just as I did to Shiloh." (Shiloh was the original place of worship from the time of Joshua to Samuel. The sanctuary was later rejected by God and destroyed by the Philistines.) I pray that they change before its too late.
I totally agree...don’t trust these “catholic charities “. Know who you give your money to! Thank you for this important post!
Do you think that they may have wanted some kind of theft or vandalism of the Amazonian stuff to let them play the victim card because they can't have been unaware that it wasn't going down well with Catholics? It was morning and if there was a night watchman he had probably gone home. If the church hadn't been locked overnight and only opened in time for early Mass, maybe they didn't think they would need extra security at that time. The Amazonian stuff was probably the least valuable contents of that church. That struck me too. Then I wondered whether the people who took the statues made two videos - a dry run and the real thing. It's hard to tell from the video inside the church what the man is carrying. He's certainly wasn't wearing workmen's clothes but we didn't see the camerman(men?) who could have been dressed in overalls or whatever. The man who chucked the idols in the river was wearing similar clothes to the man we saw in the church but they might not have been the same person. I find it hard to believe that the guy who claimed to have been a witness hadn't seen the video before he was interviewed by Rome Roberts. And if he had seen the video beforehand, it seems strange that he didn't notice what the "thief" was wearing.
I just said the same thing to a close faithful friend yesterday...we are not the norm. Most either don’t know, don’t understand...Or simply don’t care. They go to Sunday mass and that’s it for them. The “Amazon “ to them is a online site to buy whatever....clueless.
No, we're not the norm. We are sadly in the extreme minority. This is mostly due to poor catechism though. Most people don't know their faith, so they don't recognize when things going awry. All they are told by the Church leaders is "follow your conscience", which is even a bastardization of that Church Teaching." We are supposed to follow a well-informed conscience in line with Church Teaching. Not just anything we happen to feel. That is anarchy.
