I beg for your patience as I try to put my excitement and joy down in writing. I am overflowing at the moment!God's plan in salvation history has sometimes been viewed as a tapestry, but I love to look upon it as a symphony! Maybe it's because I played trumpet for a number of years, or perhaps it's because, unlike Padraig whose visual to the n'th degree, I'm the opposite: very auditory! To watch the interplay of musicians during a symphonic piece, however, can be very inspiring, too! Each musician's role is essential, no matter how small! Put it all together and it can prove to be marvelous in its unfolding. God's plan and the unfolding of salvation history is unbelievably more beautiful and marvelous to behold! Do you realize that we are on the threshold of the Era of Peace, that soon we will be living in a time that more closely mirrors the Garden of Eden than any other epoch in history? And each of us, as a child of the Father and of Mary, have an essential role to play! God has chosen us to bear the fruit that will help usher in the Era of Peace. But this whole process began the moment Adam and Eve exited the Garden! So we should always be filled with joyful appreciation for those who have gone before us! Hebrew 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us! So I ask you to watch the following clip. The piece actually runs for 8:51. Watch the players, the soloists and those in the background. Especially consider the blonde flutist with glasses who sits patiently and does not pick up her flute until the 8:14 mark. Don't you see! We are that flute player as the incomparable beauty of God's handiwork unfolds before us in the Era of Peace. How insignificant her role seems! But I tell you our role is indispensable and necessary for the completion of God's plan. He has chosen each of us! So may we ever rejoice and join the chorus line of so great a cloud of witnesses as the climatic crescendo resounds. And may Our Queen literally conduct us on this way! Alleluia! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
