I agree, Mark is a watchman. He does contortions defending PF. If I am asked my opinion I will give it but as for now that's not happening.
I think it's about putting PF's action in perspective in the bigger picture. How much time in discussion, mental energy and worry should we allow ourselves on a daily basis about such things? For me, I am fairly up to speed on what PF is and isn't doing but I refuse to lose my peace for one moment over it. Is a 500 page thread about it going to help change anything or will it just bring more anxiety/fear to those who post and those reading? I can manage to avoid those thread as I see fit or at least put them in their place, but I am certain many Catholics are not finding fruit in them at all. This is why I believe Mark Mallet is heading in the right direction. He knows we need to focus on ourselves not every little thing PF says on his latest flight. Yes, there are countless questionable things PF does, many seemingly serious but who's place is it to correct them? I can barely remove the log from my own eye, let alone my brother's....let alone the pope's. We all know God is at work to cleanse His church and PF seems like the perfect first step to me. Despite the cardinals and bishops that have highlighted these errors, none of them are leaving the barque of Peter and so I'm not either. I think many fear God isn't really in control. Like when Francis got elected St. Peter rushed the news up the top, "God Almightly, news from earth, the Freemasons just elected Bergoglio as your new pope!!" "Thank you Peter, I have no idea what to do now". We tend to always see how God acted in hindsight so praying and trusting are almost all we can do. I think in many ways Divine Mercy was instituted for this very time because we all fall short. Jesus could not stress enough that graces flow the greatest by means of trust, and trust is by it's very nature conforming to God's will. PF's actions have almost zero to do with my spiritual journey and struggle to stay in a state of grace. Mark Mallet does a great job of focusing on what really matters and his renewed spirit is coming through in these latest writings and I am looking forward to the coming ones.
Trying to portray the current pope and those he surrounds himself with as “confused “ or “naive “ does great harm and is very very dangerous. To those whom much is given much is expected. Using straw man arguments is simply dishonest It’s meant to distract from the real issue being discussed
Pope Francis is Universal Pontiff. Why does he do nothing about things like this? https://www.breitbart.com/faith/201...nounce-homosexuality-normal-and-unchangeable/ German Bishops Pronounce Homosexuality ‘Normal’ and ‘Unchangeable’ The German Catholic bishops’ conference has issued a statement declaring homosexuality to be just as “normal” as heterosexuality while adding that adultery can no longer be considered a “serious sin.” Both the homosexual and heterosexual orientation “belong to the normal forms of a sexual predisposition that cannot and should not be changed by any specific socialization,” the Dec. 5 communiqué stated. The bishops embraced the findings of a study group on sexual morality chaired by Berlin Archbishop Heiner Koch, which will form a starting point for the “Synodal Way of the Church” in Germany to rethink Catholic teachings and praxis for the present day. “There was agreement that the sexual preference of humans is expressed during puberty and assumes a heterosexual or homosexual orientation,” the statement reads. Since one’s sexual orientation is unchangeable, “in church thinking, this means that any form of discrimination against homosexuals must be rejected, as has long been required by the magisterium and is also explicitly emphasized by Pope Francis in the post-synodal letter Amoris Laetitia,” the bishops note. There was, however, no consensus on “whether the magisterial ban on homosexual practice is still opportune,” the bishops declare. The communiqué also called for an update regarding Church teaching on adultery, declaring that “a sexual relationship after divorce and remarriage is no longer qualified as a serious sin and thus no general exclusion from the reception of the Eucharist is foreseen,” stating that such a conclusion is “supported by humanities and theology” as well as by “developments that are already apparent in Amoris laetitia.” The findings of the meeting, sponsored by the Bishops’ Commission for Marriage and Family to deal with issues of sexual morality, will be used to update the Church’s teaching staff on sexual morality, the communique revealed. Along with Archbishop Heiner Koch, several other bishops participated in the consultation, including Osnabrück Bishop Franz-Josef Bode, Bishop Wolfgang Ipolt of Görlitz, Bishop Peter Kohlgraf of Mainz, and several suffragan bishops from the Faith and Family Commissions, who discussed issues of sexual morality with sexologists, moral theologians, dogmatists, and canon lawyers. “The results of the expert consultation will feed into the Forum of the Synodical Way ‘Living in Successful Relationships — Living Love in Sexuality and Partnership,’ which will start work in February 2020,” the text concludes.
Oh sorry, maybe he is doing something. As Mark mentioned about the Idol Worship thing. Maybe he is sitting somewhere looking embarrassed, sad, upset and uncomfortable once again.. So if he is , maybe, upset, that's alright then. After all he's doing something positive; looking upset and sad. Nothing to be concerned about. Who am I to judge? Better to keep quiet and let it all roll over me. That's what really good Catholic do, after all. Stay quiet. The really bad ones ask questions and cause upset. Mustn't upset the Pope; the German Bishops have...maybe..upset the poor man enough.
BREAKING NEWS!! This photo was taken immediately after the current pope heard of the German bishops statement on homosexuality. And it’s widely believed he went home and cried after he was caught off-guard by that despicable pachamama ceremony.
Oh I better not get into this too much. I feel my blood pressure going through the roof. Even my dogs are growling.
After the pope cried, he was overheard saying "What can I do about the German bishops approving homosexuality? It appears to be proven science just like global warming. In fact, it may be caused by CO2. Besides, I'm just the pope, what power do I have? Let's get back to talking poor people and dialog with the enemies of the church" haha. (not a true quote, only comedic)
Where's my blood pressure tablets? Oh well, I'm trying to stay positve. I don't live in the Vatican and I''m not planning to visit Rome anytime soon, thank God. .
And the photo below was taken after he met Emma Bonino Italy’s number 1 abortion proponent. It was reported the poor man cried and then vented his anger at his advisors: “What!! Why didn’t you tell me she was Italy’s most famous abortion proponent and had killed 10,000 babies, many with a bicycle pump!!!”
Sometimes we use words, which have varying meanings. This one from www.dictionary.com surely has a meaning that perhaps Mark Mallett was using and I will give him the benefit of any doubt he was. The last one below has been done on MOG at times in an almost, if not outright hatred, way towards him. He is confused, no doubt about it, but our faith teachings are not. I will continue to pray for him, which is what Christ Jesus would have us do, while I follow the unchanging truths of the faith. attack SEE SYNONYMS FOR attack ON THESAURUS.COM verb (used with object) to set upon in a forceful, violent, hostile, or aggressive way, with or without a weapon; begin fighting with: He attacked him with his bare hands. to begin hostilities against; start an offensive against: to attack the enemy. to blame or abuse violently or bitterly.
If he is, 'Confused', why is he attempting to lead and give prophetic voice? He should rest up and not post anymore until he becomes unconfused. Whenever and however that might come about. Confused leaders end up confusing everyone else.
Listen please there is not much we can do except pray. It’s useless to get angry. It is understandable, but we need to focus on the positive. Why? Because it’s going to get worse. And our energy should be filled with the Holy Spirit. Our Church will get smaller, but stronger. Read what Fatima Pilgrim wrote about the epiphany. It is exactly what is coming.
It was clear even from the head of the Jesuit order that he was a loose canon. Perhaps a perfect man to unintendedly expose the evils within the church, while causing his own confusion. We get what we deserve, having had two very holy popes before him whom few cardinals and bishops listened to. I look at it this way.....the sooner it all comes to be....... the sooner the era of peace, which I pray to enter into, comes. I would assume many/most on MOG are like me, itching to speak to anyone about the times and how our faith relates to it all, but hardly anyone who wants to hear. Well, ears will be opened up soon. For sure after the Warning, but we are told most will still not respond to God's will after the Illumination. One thing I am convinced of, the next pope, unduly elected, may well be the False Prophet, thanks to PF stacking the Cardinals deck with renegades. But, I just keep praying.
But I always like the sotry Pope St John 23rd told. One time during the Council he lay awake one night staring at the ceiling worring about things. Then the thought came to him, 'It's God's Church and He'll take care of it!' Then he smiled and turning over fell asleep, at peace. Well it's still God's Church and He'll still take care of it. His Bride the Church.
I’ve discerned that this is the most effective thing we can do, pray. As hard as we can. Pope Francis is completely confounding to me. I agree with little of what I hear him say. But he’s the Pope, so I pray as hard as I can for him and for our bishops and priests, both the ones who I know speak and stand for Truth like Burke and Sarah, and the ones who make me shake my head in sadness like Cupich and the Germans. It’s what Our Lady asked us to do, pray for them, so I give my fiat and do so.
