The place must be ın the cahrge of the Francıscans Mary as so many Pılgrımage sıtes are. I can see why as they are no nonense people and ın these crowded exıted throngs no nonense ıs what ıs needed. At tjhe door of the house a Francıscan was sayıng mass for a small group of Amerıcan pılgrıms. I rushed over to joın them but the prıest had me ejected. I am sure he had hıs reasons there were huge crows and they would have been hangfıng from the ceılıng ıf folks had been let ın.

I saw several people cryıng. I would lıke to have spent my whole holıday there, but gt very great graces so am very happy. I had not realısed the Popes had affırmed the place so strongly by vısıtıng and leavıng roses.

I am ın a thronged holıday place at the moment and I feel such a strong sense of Godlessness. I was s touched prayıng ın the Mosque, but ıf only there were Churches, ıf only there was the Eucharıst.

 

I wonder ıf I am ımagınıng ıt or are there twıce as many people vısıtıng the forum than when I left Ireland?

I must leave ıt more often, ıt seems to prosper much better when I am away.

Found a lovely book on a .c. Emmerich visions of Our Lady's life at Ephesus. It also confirms the location of st johns tomb in the ruins of the basilica of st john at selchuk(sp?). It's a lovely read. I will post it to you if you wish.

As far as I know Catherıne Emmerıch,s cause ıs proceedıng very well ın Rome. When I was ın the monastery I read several books oof hers. Have you read her prophesıes? I have no doubt at all they are true;

THE GREAT APOSTASY IN THE PRESENT CHURCH - THE AGING POPE:
"Among the strangest things that I saw, were long processions of bishops. Their thoughts and utterances were made known to me through images issuing from their mouths. Their faults towards religion were shown by external deformities ... I saw what I believe to be nearly all the bishops of the world, but only a small number were perfectly sound. I also saw the Holy Father - God-fearing and prayerful. Nothing left to be desired in his appearance, but he was weakened by old age and by much suffering. His head was lolling from side to side, and it dropped onto his chest as if he was falling asleep ...Then I saw that everything pertaining to Protestantism was gradually gaining the upperhand, and the Catholic religion fell into complete decadence. Most priests were lured by the glittering but false knowledge of young school-teachers, and they all contributed to the work of destruction. "Whole Catholic communities were being oppressed, harassed, confined, and deprived of their freedom. I saw many churches closed down, great miseries everywhere, wars and bloodshed. A wild and ignorant mob took violent action. But it did not last long... "

 

THE INTERCESSION FROM BLESSED VIRGIN AND KING HENRY, THE VICTORS:
"I had a vision of the holy Emperor Henry. I saw him at night kneeling alone at the foot of the main altar in a great and beautiful church ... and I saw the Blessed Virgin coming down all alone. She laid on the altar a red cloth covered with white linen. She placed a book inlaid with precious stones. she lid the candles and the perpetual lamp. Then came the Saviour Himself clad in priestly vestments. He was carrying the chalice and the veil. Two angels were serving Him and two more were following ... Although there was no altar bell, the cruets were there. The wine was as red as blood, and there was also some water. The Mass was short. The Gospel of St. John was not read at the end (2). When the Mass had ended, Mary came up to Henry, and she extended her right hand towards him, saying that it was in recognition of his purity. Then she urged him not to falter. Thereupon I saw an angel, and he touched the sinew of his hip, like Jacob. Henry was in great pain; and from that day on he walked with a limp ... "

"Very bad times will come when non-Catholics will lead many people astray. A great confusion will result. I saw the battle also. The enemies were far more numerous, but the small army of the faithful cut down whole rows of enemy soldiers. During the battle, the Blessed Virgin stood on a hill, wearing a suit armor. It was a terrible war. At the end, only a few fighters for the just cause survived, but the victory was theirs. "


THE CHURCH SHALL BE VICTORIOUS, REBUILT, AND MORE GLORIOUS THAN EVER:
"I was in such distress that I cried out to Jesus with all my might, imploring His mercy... He said , among other things, that this translation of the church from one place to another meant that she would seem to be in complete decline. But she would rise again; even if there remained but one Catholic, the church would conquer again because she does not rest on human counsels and intelligence. "

"When the Church had been for the most part destroyed by the secret sect, and when only the sanctuary and altar were still standing, I saw the wreckers enter the Church with the beast. SUMMARY OF THE FUTURE EVENTS CONCERNING THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH:
Holy Father Pope John Paul II will be more isolated, surrounded by the inner heretic Ecclesiastics. He will leave Rome in the eve of foreign invasion, probably by Russians and Southern Muslims.
The Church of Rome shall be abandoned without leadership. Rome shall be occupied by aggressors. Clergy and faithful shall be persecuted.
Muslims and Orthodox shall promote an ecumenical church by electing a modernistic pope who will abandon Catholic Teaching and Tradition, rule by compromising and committee.
Blessed Mother shall help French Commander Henry who consecrates his life to her to a convincing victory against more powerful Muslim forces.
The period of peace shall be granted after World War. The Church shall be rebuilt, ruled by a holy pope, "Glory of olive", given to us by our Mother, and the Church shall be more glorious than ever.

Hi padraig, I just read the above. What's that about? Is this the prophecies of Catherine Emmerich?
The readings are to what we are expecting. But the prophecies regarding Pope JP 11 leaving Rome the day before an invasion.
Padraig, are you a lay person?

 

Yes I am. Of course it could not be JP2 leaving Rome. He is dead now and it never happened. The person who put up Catherines messages on another site a few years back thought they might have applied to JP2 wrongly as it happened. But Catheirnes prophesies stand alone.

I had never heard of Catherine's prophecies before. So are you telling me it wasn't Catherine who said it was JP2, it was someone elses interpretation?

There are so many prophets out there, it is amazing. I'm actually finding it frightening. Because we were warned that in the end times there will be prophets everywhere, even ones that will perform such wonders.
I feel everyone who follows this blog tend to believe so much. Part of me admires you all for doing so. This was me not too long ago. But now I'm so cautious.

I love to read about any prophecies, but I only want to follow the true ones. At this stage the Bible, The Divine Mercy and St Padra Pio I can follow completely. I believe and follow Garabandal, but I find that following one prophecy that is not recognised by the Church is all I can consume at this stage.

Are Catherine's prophecies approved by the Church?

 

Prophecy has to be discerned carefully and in a spirit of prayerful reflection. Many saints have given prophetic insights but it is not an exact science so we will never know what will exactly happen in the future.

But I don't believe prophecy is predicting the future exactly but a gift to prepare the church for the times ahead. For example, prophets have been warning for years of a drift to Godlessness [which we are now in] and provided a remedy for this - devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary/Sacred Heart/ Divine Mercy revelations. Only through prayer/fasting/ can the light of faith remain alive in our hearts in these dark times - without prayer faith dies.

Prophecy predicts future trends - what are the key trends that lie ahead? I am afraid the news is not good - the prophecies all indicate we are entering the end of times and Biblical punishments are coming to the world.

Persecution - get ready for very difficult times ahead perhaps only years away of open persecution for us Christians. We prepare now by deepening our prayer life and devotion to God so that when the time comes we will be strong in the Lord and the power of His might to give witness even unto death.

Collapse of western civilization- economic, political and societal upheaval through collapse and war - we will only have God to rely on. Are we relying on God now?

Divisions within God's Church: disaster will fall upon the Catholic Church - apostacy & schism. We need to deepen our knowledge and understanding of our faith in these times.

Chastisement - fire will fall from the sky destroying a greater part of humanity:

It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have [been] seen before. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms that will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the Bishops, and the Priests.”

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres. Churches and altars will be sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”

Period of Peace - a period of prolonged peace will be given to the world after the chastisement

So armed with that news we are to be vigilant and pray as never before for our families, nations, and the Church in order that we are given the grace to be able to witness to Christ even when things are at their worst. But the price of eternal life is worth any difficulties that we will encounter and God will give us the grace to meet the challenges that lie ahead.

 

I think that was such a wise well though out post Bobby. Prophesy is not fortune telling it is a grace of the Holy Spirit.

However it can be very precise and accurate rather than generalised. Cathrine E in the case of Mary's House at Ephesus give the precise architectural dimensions of the house for instance, a house buried under ground for millenia.

IF anyone is interested the temprature in Turkey next week is to be 55c , imagine!!!. Thank God to back in rainy Ireland.

You know, Jane, if I buy an automobile from a bad dealer, I would never say all cars and all dealers are bad I am not buying again.

I'ts like buying a vehicle we have to check it out and check it our carefully.

 

This is one of the reasons I am so skeptical about the "modern" prophets and their messages of doom and gloom. I still say live in the present and deal with it. If we are prepared with our oil lamps as the bridesmaids were, then we will be doing God's will and have nothing to fear, no matter what happens. Pray. Hope. Don't Worry. St. Padre Pio.

 

I must share three things I saw to do with Islam in Turkey and since they are far from doom and gloomy they'll be all the more welcome, Rosebud.

I walked up to the Mosque in Marmaris , more nor less out of curiousity (if my poor dead dad had known his son went into such places I am sure he'd have died a lot sooner)


Anyhow by 'chance' they were at mid day prayer. I was touched by all the prayer beads which reminded me so much of our own dear rosary. So I just sat on a little stool at the back of the mosque praying to myself and was surprised by how very strong and powerful the prayer became.

But I was concerned I might be doing the wrong thing by praying in a Mosque. So I turned and asked God if I should be praying in a Mosque.

The good Lord answered me right away;

'Do you think I want you to be sitting anywhere without praying? I want you praying without stopping everywhere!'

....and there's just no answer to that

Then a couple of days later I was passing a taxis stand and my attention was drawn to a driver. He had a set of the most beautiful amber rosary beads. I stopped to chat. It was clear to me he was a person of deep prayer and goodness. Turned out I had seen him a couple of days before up at the Mosque; he was the local Iman. Chances of meeting him were a zillion to one. He had been filling in for a member of his congregation who was sick, a taxi driver. I quizzed him ; yes all Chirstians are going to hell, all Shia Muslims are going to hell, only Sunni Muslims are going to heaven and so on, but he was such a very good man...

The last thing was that on entering the Islamic graveyard I heard like a great grown from the ground and when I looked round there was this great crowd of souls round me begging for prayers. I would say it must have been nearly everyone ever buried there ..and they were desperate, for there is no Islamic belief in Purgatory. So I walked round a while praying, but there are so many of the poor souls. In a Catholic cemetery I only feel the, 'Tug' occasionally; there the whole graveyard rushed forward.

Pray for the; for if you don't no one else will. I will never forget the groan as I entered that place. Talk about a desert with no water.

 

Wow! Padraig! That is an amazing story. I will increase my prayers for the Holy Souls, particularly those who are not Catholic and have no one to pray for them.

 

I had a walk around Milltown cemetery [Belfast] last night Padraig and so still and peaceful as are most graveyards in Ireland that I have visited - oasis of peace.

Poor Muslims that have no one to pray for them somewhat like our Protestant brethren. How easy it is to forget the Holy Souls who are paying the last cent - I will pray Rosaries today for those particular souls in that graveyard.

I hope God adjusts things a little so that they can receive help in some ways. I am sure for instance Our Lady keeps a weather eye out for them.

When I was young at school we were simply told that people like Muslims were sent straight to hell..and you know that's not so very long ago. But I have to say that Iman I met was a lot more prayerful than most Catholics I know in Ireland; a lot more prayerful.

I must go back and read this again.
