On this day (9th Dec) 1962 the title of Our Lady Of The Most Blessed Sacrament was codified by Bl Pope John XX111 when he declared St Peter Julian Emyard a saint at the end of the last session of the 2nd Vatican Council. It used to be the main feast day on May 13th untill Our Lady Of Fatima was elevated to this position in 1930. I love this title as it highlights Gods love for us through the Eucharist and with his Mother the two pillars of faith by which our church shall be saved. At the same time as St Peter Julian Emyard was being made a saint for his love of the Eucharist and Our lady in 1962 by Pope John XX111 the same Pope was refusing Our Lady by not releasing the 3rd secret of Fatima. Even while this was happening Our Lady and the Eucharist were appearing to the chrildern of Garabandal giving them the same love that they had given to St Peter Julian Emyard, and showing us that we can have the same love if we renew our love for God through recieving the Blessed Eucharist and Our Ladys Immaculate Heart.
