Yesterday, I was told that a patient I had visited tested positive for covid-19 and was switched to the designated unit for such patients (currently 7 covid-19 patients in-house). But that visit was a week before the positive test. There were some raised eyeballs when I said, "Not yet." to the question, "You've been vaccinated, right?" Lord, restore them to good health!

Yes, thank you Julia, our church has a statue, I don't know if it is specifically Our Lady of Mount Carmel or just the Queen of Heaven. She can probably be called both.. maybe she has to hold out a scapular to be called Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Back at the start of covid-19, I remember a claim made that persons like me with Type O blood had a deeper resistance, though I never read that such was true thereafter. Attended feast at National shrine of our Lady of Mt Carmel in Middletown NY. Lovely shrine, lovely service. We processed to Our Lady’s statue for a crowning of her and the child Jesus

Very cool! I learned about the shrine through the forum and wanted to share “fruits”. I had pictures of the shrine and crowning but they were too big too post for some reason. Lots of third order carmelites in attendance and they invested the brown scapular. Bishop was from PattersonNJ and had a very good homily about following Mary to Jesus.
I grew up in Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish and went to Mount Carmel School, so this title of Our Lady has always been very special to me. It’s where I was baptized, made First Communion and Confirmation.
