Hi AED, as I stated in a previous post, the foot on that cross is not reversed. But if the viewer wants to see it in that regard, they will. It can become an optical illusion, or ' optical delusion' as I call it. I studied the original. Perhaps the version the complainer had was a poor cast. The original would have been copy righted. For amateur artists to copy an original they sometimes distort sections of the original work. Sometimes to avoid copyright infringement law suits! The cross that the Pope wears is not distorted. Because a bad Cardinal also wore it is not grounds to discredit it. Would you also discredit the bible because a Bad Cardinal used it? This is a rediculous comment. Hey, there are more important irons in the pot than this one. If it were up to me I would toss out the whole thread.

AED. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Incredibly disturbing. However it seems this forum can not take any criticism or even questioning of PF. Almost like the censorship going on about the presidential election. Nothing to see here....

Thank you Picadillo. But I am willing to be corrected on the pectoral cross. The cross in Josephite's picture is deeply troubling and I don't blame her for being disturbed by it.
What does that have to do with the fact that the two pectoral crosses look eerily similar? Also, Martin Luther rejected the pope but PF has all but made him a saint! Don't be a hypocrite.

Back to the topic. I decided that the right leg wasn't in fact reversed as the shin bone is quite prominent. The way it was cast made it look backward, but it's not. The original design seems to have been kosher, so I'm going with the ones who say the cross is fine.

Absolutely. However I am alive now and part of that judgement will be what did I do with the blessings the Lord gave me. I am searching for the truth and do not want to deny knowing the lord 3 times by suppressing truth. I refuse to be quiet about things I believe to be true. I pray for courage for the truth. I believe the truth will set you free.
Picadillo, For my part, oft times when something appears like it’s so obviously out-there upfront as to seem blatantly a given—that no one should see it as anything but that— I’ve learned that, for me, THAT is when I need to seek for a possible alternate explanation that may answer my question. I believe this is how the Holy Spirit inspires me personally to seek truth in all things. Because left to my own devices, I’m pretty miserable. Peace!
Hi Picadillo and all others interested, Father Ripperger in the below video “Our Lady’s view of our times” discusses the approved prophecies in the 17 century of Our Lady of Good success at Quito Ecuador in the year 1610, and Our Lady of La Salette France in the 19 century in the year 1832 and in the 20th century in 1917 Our Lady at Fatima Portugal and Our Lady of Akita Japan 1973, and also the prophecies of St Francis in 1226. Father joins all these prophecies together, we see our lady warning us in the 17th century of the Masonic sects (that had not even formed until the 18th century) which will bring about the total corruption of customs and she gives us the time frame!..... “the end of the 19 Century and toward the middle of the 20th century, stating that satan will reign through the masonic sects; At the 38.50 minute mark; Our Lady of good Success words…….”the one who should speak out remains silent” 40.10 minute mark;…… “How the Church will suffer on that occasion due to the lack of a Father to watch over them”. Father Ripperger reiterates; Remember Our Lady is speaking about our times! At the 48.20 minute mark; Our Lady of La Salette words…” the church will enter a frightful crisis”. Which Fathers again states he believes we are living through at the present moment. At 49.50 minute mark; Father gives St Francis prophesy in near fullness…. “a time is approaching when charity will become cold, malice of the wicked will increase”. “At the time of this tribulation a man not canonically elected will be raised to the pontificate who by his cunning will endeavour to draw many into error and death” “scandal will be multiplied; many religious orders will divide and some will be entirely destroyed because they will consent to error instead of opposing it. The religious, clergy and laity who preserve in the truth, will need special graces of God to survive these times.” “Those who preserve in truth will suffer as rebels and schismatics, urged on by evil spirits they will be seen as pests to be removed. The sanctity of life will be held in derision because in those days, Jesus will send them not a true pastor but a destroyer” At the risk of being misinterpreted I offer the following summation of “Our Lady’s view of our times” as explained by Fr Rippenger, I pray all will understand. Its a paradox really, for even though we are living in the times prophesied by our Lady over the last 4 centuries. Father Ripperger exhorts us to remain charitable to the holy father and display piety for those in authority. So even though we can speculate about the possibilities that the ingenious deceptions of the evil one, which most probably included the St Gallan mafia, secret lobbying and other stealthy manoeuvres, which may have accomplished a pope who was not canonically elected, this cannot be proven even by our Cardinals. And we are to Pray for our Holy Father and ask for blessings upon him. The blessing most probably needed are courage and truthfulness, Jesus knows which blessing to provide. BrianK gives us a wonderful prophetic story in the thread "waiting", about the salvation of a man who had caused evil but who turns to God and repents, and through the great mercy of God is martyred for his faith and obtains heaven. Divine Justice is around the corner, at present it is still the time of Divine Mercy. We must Love and trust. Ask for special graces to remain faithful and make everything a prayer.
