    Hurrah!

    Lee,

I'm so happy for you! This is an ongoing battle within my heart, also. If Geralyn's behavior is irritating me, I always seem to forget that a change in my actions toward her will often do the trick. For you, it is much more effacacious because your more peaceful disposition appears to be the direct fruit of your prayer life.

I've been rereading Thomas Greene's When the Well Runs Dry and I believe that your prayer of union would equate with what Greene calls the prayer of quiet. He takes this from Theresa of Avila's garden analogy for describing stages in prayer. Anyway, I rejoice with you in this regard, and pray that the Lord will multiply both the experience and the fruit in your life! Yahoo! :D

Many thanks for your well wishes and the tip on the book. My prayer life is changing and I'm always interested in learning.
I'm almost finished with 'Eclipse of the Sun' by Michael O'Brien, all 856 pages of it. Whew! I'll be ready for a change in pace.

You know I did like the book.
It was a tale of what is happening to our democracy and the deterioration of our Church and Faith as we slumber in complacency. What spoke so sincerely to me was just that, the Faith of the people. They were ultimately called to speak and act on their stirrings from the Holy Spirit, to cling firmly to Love. Certainly a message for our time. It was recommended to me by my priest, we often share books.

    Grace given when needed.

I like your priest. However, I don't know if I could throw out my TV. How would I ever watch my videos and DVDs? But then, I do like bonfires. :D

I could let the TV burn to ashes with no trouble at all. Of course I say that with Netflix movies waiting for me, FRANCESCO with Mickey Rourke the life of St. Francis, supposed to be wonderful and FOOTSTEPS THROUGH THE HOLY LAND WITH THE HOLY FAMILY, also supposed to be wonderful. I think I like what I can control!
