I remember my dear very holy friend from Eastern Europe who had many beautiful charisms. A college professor was harassing her at a talk she gave on campus about Christianity failing humanity by not marching to do away with nuclear weapons. She said " sir you have enough hatred in your heart to ignite ten atomic bombs. Go home and be reconciled to your wife." He was dumbfounded and furious. He demanded to know who had been telling his secrets. She just told him to make peace in his home before he tried to bring peace to humanity.

A wise priest once told me that if I fall again, I may not get back up. I really took that to heart. Having been so far down in the pit the first fall, I 100% know there is a God (and there is a devil too). The second fall came years later while trying to serve both Him and mammon, trying to be, as the devil says, just a normal person. Well, it turns out that He expects more of me; "And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required" ~ So for me, "all in" is absolutely necessary given the time wasted, and the Love and Mercy He has shown me. Am I perfect? That's to laugh. But I honestly try to do my best. The devil doesn't like that very much, and uses everything and everyone at his disposal to knock one over. As God allows him, of course. Usually there's a lesson in there, most times in humility. But after the sting subsides, one must soldier on. Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of God. That Peace, imho, is transferred from Heart to heart, in accordance with the efforts made........Giving up is not an option. Seeking out and following His Will, not the will of this fallen world is the only way. The Way of the Cross. That Cross may be different for each of us, but there is no middle way.

A girl has been training for years to go to the Olympics, only to arrive in Paris and be defeated by a man in 46 seconds.

Saint Alphonsus Ligouri , a Doctor of the Church and our premier moral theologian whose Feast Day we recently celebrated one time warned that a soul may sometimes hit a pay wall as far as God's mercy is concerned. That we may hit a moment when God simply puts His foot down and says, 'No, enough is enough, no more of this it's time to call into n your dues'. And of course that goes for us collectively as well as individuals. We moved from a time of mercy into a time of Justice. So as St Paul warns us we must work out our salvation in fear and trembling.

It was St Alphonsus who founded the Redemptorists and they used to have a vow, before Vatican 2 to always preach on hell.

God's mercy is infinite. But His Justice is infinite too. It's a question of balance. Sadly the balance has shifted to pink cloud sugar candy land were everything will work out fine in the best of all possible worlds. We are no longer even convicted of sin and the need of conversion. Nowadays for instance it is fine to be a serial sexual pervert of the most depraved kind with no intention of reforming and the Church is just fine with this.

The old priest at Mass yesterday morning asked us to be contrite for our faults and failings. But this is not what the Liturgy requires. It requires us to be convicted and contrite for our sins. We have reached a point were we cannot even mention sin.

We are stumbling about blindly in a huge pink, sweet smelling cloud.

It was a horrible spectacle, but it was the intrusion of Reality. The madness has been already there in the feminist notion of "equality in sport" and in the Hollywood fantasies where we see scenes of delicately-built young women beating up with ease muscular, strong men. Such ideas are not simply foolish, but positively dangerous, because some impressionable and naive young women are likely to be deluded into illusions of self-empowerment. Hopefully, this ugly scene will be seen by multitudes of women and act as a corrective to the prevailing feminist insanities.

This is an attack on reason and reality.

It is in effect an attack on Logos, the Word made flesh, the ultimate reality of our existence.

Heard one of those crazy people, masquerading as an expert, this morning, pontificating about a 'spectrum' of maleness and femaleness. It makes no more sense than defining a spectrum between electronic and protonic charge quanta. An electron has a negative charge, a proton an energetically equal but opposite positive charge. There is no in-between (neutrons are protons that have captured electrons, with the charges cancelling out) and God's Order elegantly extends from the micro-level up to the macro-level, whereby there are only two sexes, neatly parallelling the micro in being opposite, but equal. Indeed the neutron somewhat resembles the married state, with a stable combination that has nothing electrically to do with any of the single protons and electrons around it.

If they're talking about spectra of sexuality, where on earth on it are these 'experts' going to define it as suitable for opposition against an opponent defining herself as a total woman?

Excellent analogy about the atom and the married state. I have thought about the Trinity also being alluded to, but there is no opposite within the Trinity, although one might say that the physical state of Christ could be????

When archaeologists dig up their dead bodies/skeletons in years to come they will be identified as either male or female.

  15. It's not really clear what's going on here, but the Algerian boxer was assigned female at birth. I've read other places that they have Klinefelter's syndrome, but I don't think that has been confirmed (this is when men have an extra X chromosome but it's possible for them to not have male genitalia, that would explain the assignment at birth). At any rate, they aren't really trans by the normal definition.

Apparently that boxer was intersex rather than trans. I did not even know what Intersex means and had to look it up. I think we used to call them hermathrodites. How complicated we have made our World. He certainly looked like a man to me.
