Yves Dupont in his book The Coming Chastisment describes the state of the church & the world in the period just before the powerful Catholic Monarch and Angelic Pope arrive on the scene -- During this period, many men will abuse of the freedom of conscience conceded to them. It is of such men that Jude, the Apostle, spoke when he said: 'These men blaspheme whatever they do not understand; and they corrupt whatever they know naturally as irrational animals do... They feast together without restraint, feeding themselves, grumbling murmurers, walking according to their lusts; their mouth speaketh proud things, they admire people for the sake of gain~ they bring about division, sensual men, having not the spirit. ' "During this unhappy period, there will be laxity in divine and human precepts. Discipline will suffer. The Holy Canons will be completely disregarded, and the Clergy will not respect the laws of the Church. Everyone will be carried away and led to believe and to do what he fancies, according to the manner of the flesh. "They will ridicule Christian simplicity: they will call it folly and nonsense, but they will have the highest regard for advanced knowledge, and for the skill by which the axioms of the law, the precepts of morality, the Holy Canons and religious dogmas are clouded by senseless questions and elaborate arguments. As a result. no principle at all, however holy, authentic, ancient, and certain it may be, will remain free of censure, criticism, false interpretations, modification. and delimitation by man. "These are evil times a century full of dangers and calamities. Heresy is everywhere, and the followers of heresy are in power almost everywhere. Bishops, prelates, and priests say that they are doing their duty, that they are vigilant and that they live as befits their state in life. In like manner, therefore, they all seek excuses. But God will permit a great evil against His Church: Heretics and tyrants (Mohammedens) will come suddenly and unexpectedly; they will break into the Church while bishops, prelates, and priests are asleep. They will enter Italy and lay Rome waste; they will burn down the churches and destroy everything.
In light of all of this, how shall we respond? The examination of conscience, confession, daily meditation on God's Word, Rosary, fasting, Holy Mass...we know this, but cultivating habits is what's difficult. The following discussion and the advice of St. Ignatius of Loyola might prove helpful in nurturing stronger spiritual habits. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
Great video except for the suggested remedy if we are tempted to eat 15 brownies: eat a carrot! That’s just cruelty.
There is a benefit in using the terminology first given to us in the recounting of Garabandal. The Warning will be a CORRECTION of conscience. This term more clearly reflects the education of sin that it will deliver. The mind blowing, heart breaking aspect of this is that we will be shown our sins as God sees them. This is what makes The Warning stand out from all other revelations of sin. It is not just an illumination, it is an education. It will be a deeply personal and painful preparation for The Great Miracle. It will be seen and felt. It makes me think of those times when mum said “This is your last warning” and then if there was no change, “Wait til your father gets home.” That could only mean chastisement. As Mother told us in Garabandal, the cup of God’s anger is overflowing. As she told us in Akita, “If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them". Seems like we have run out of tellings.
Conchita: Yes. The Virgin said it (The Miracle) will be on a Thursday, and she also gave the day, month and year. Bishop: Are you sure? Did you check it on the calendar? Conchita: No, I didn't have to, because she toldme the Thursday, the day, month and year. That is the best way to believe “did you check it? No, because she told me.” Now that is faith. That is trust. We are told that the paper with Conchita’s forced denial of the apparitions will miraculously disappear. Compared with that there will be no difficulty in making the present date of the feast of the Eucharistic martyr disappear. This change may not even be by a miracle but simply by the magisterium. Mary is The Mother of The Church. Mother Mary guards her secrets until She is ready to give and we are ready to receive.
What I have been thinking about lately is that a possible inclusion of Saint Tarcisius in the April haliological calendar could be the result of an ecumenical stance that the pope wants to adopt for the jubilee: the creation of a catalog for all Christian martyrs, including some Protestants. In my opinion, this could have the effect of "stirring up an anthill", causing changes in the haliological calendar, something akin to the transfers of priests between parishes. I am considering all this in case the catalog of martyrs is included in the liturgical year.
Forum member Dusica gave us an interesting piece of information a while back from the alleged apparitions in Slovakia. As usual for our discernment: Secrets We live in a time when we expect the promised victory of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This time, events and events that precede and during which the predicted events take place, Mary makes the visionaries know. Lucia of Fatima knew about them, the visionaries in Medjugorje know them and the visionaries in Dechtice also know about them. This information is hidden in secrets that will be revealed when the time comes. Three of the visionaries (Martin, Maria, Lucia) are to receive ten secrets. The others have to get five secrets. Although visionaries cannot divulge secrets, some side effects may be revealed. Martin Gavenda says: "I can't tell you secrets, but what I can tell you are some side events. The realization of the first secret is preceded by floods. The events contained in the first secret shall take place three days before the second secret. I will not reveal the second secret when I say that it involves a great warning. The third secret concerns the great miracle that the Virgin Mary promised. The content of the other seven secrets is the seven punishments that will come if humanity does not change on the basis of a great warning. All I can say about the great warning is that people seem to see it first, and then everyone inside it will experience it. Man will gain knowledge about his inner self, about what he has done wrong, what he has done well, what he has not done and should have done… It will be God's great mercy - man will know his inner self and know the truth. Before that comes the persecution of Christians - It will not be the end of the world, but it will be the end of time. "
It is a wonder though. Only a tiny, tiny percentage of Catholics both lay and clergy can see the train that's coming right down the line towards us. Matthew 24:38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
Fr. Stefano Cecchin, OFM, president of the Pontifical Marian Academy, granted an interview to the weekly Alfa y Omega, in which he assures, among other things, that “the apparitions which speak of the punishments from God are absolutely false.” The Franciscan friar begins by recalling the authority of the Academy over which he presides: “We are the only ones competent in the whole world on the subject of the figure of Mary. (…) That is, that we are recognized as experts in this discipline, with the right to intervene,” although he recognizes that “it is the bishops who make the final judgment and who have the last word.” One of the criteria used by the Pontifical Academy according to Fr. Cecchin is the following: “Does a mother want to punish her children by sending them illnesses, death…? No not at all. So the apparitions that speak of God's punishments are absolutely false.” This could pose certain problems. Thus, during the 3rd apparition at Fatima, on July 13, 1917, Our Lady said to the children: “You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go; to save them, God wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I am about to tell you is done, many souls will be saved and they will have peace. The war will soon be over. But if they do not stop offending God, a more serious war will begin under the pontificate of Pius XI.” “When you see the night illuminated by an unknown light, know that it is a great sign from God to tell you that He will punish the world for its crimes, with war, famine, and persecutions against the Church and the Holy Father.” And in La Salette, Our Lady said to the children: “People do not observe the Lord's Day, they continue to work non-stop on Sundays.… The season of Lent is ignored. Men cannot swear without taking God's name in vain. Disobedience and forgetting the commandments of God are the things that make my Son's hand heavier.” According to the logic of Fr. Cecchin, these two apparitions are “absolutely false.” Which seems perfectly untenable. The root of this strange view lies in the new appreciation of mercy, present in theology for some time and emphasized by the present pope, but already discernible in John Paul II. A mercy disconnected from justice.
The institutional Church is a captured operation IMHO. This proves it. Shaking my head. John XXIII disobeyed the Mother of God in 1960 by refusing to publish the Secret. And the trajectory of this terrible era brings us here to a denial of her Fatima appearances and to all other approved Marian apparitions that warn of punishments. The OFFICIAL OFFICE of the Church! Our Lady of Akita? Our Lady of Revelation? Our Lady of LaSalette? God have mercy on this man and the whole institutional Church.
This chap is like a fat pigeon strutting on a pile of dirt. He may think he’s the bees knees but no one else does, bar a few lady pigeons. Does he have the authority to shut down the pilgrimage sites? Can he overrule the local bishops? The Church does not, as we know, insist we believe in the authenticity of any apparition, but a very few are deemed ‘worthy of belief’, including Fatima. So now we have a spirit of contradiction.
