The Order of Nine Angles (ONA or O9A) is a Satanic left-hand path militant, occultist and terrorist network that originated in the United Kingdom but has since branched out into other parts of the world. Claiming to have been established in the 1960s, it rose to public recognition in the early 1980s, attracting attention for its neo-Nazi ideology and activism. Describing its approach as "Traditional Satanism", it also exhibits Hermetic and modern Pagan elements in its beliefs.

According to the Order's own claims, it was established in the Welsh Marches of Western England during the late 1960s by a woman who had previously been involved in a secretive pre-Christian sect which survived in the region. This account also states that in 1973 a man named "Anton Long" was initiated into the group, subsequently becoming its grand master. Several academic commentators who have studied the ONA express the view that the name "Anton Long" is probably the pseudonym of the British neo-Nazi activist David Myatt, although Myatt has denied that this is the case. From the late 1970s onward, Long authored books and articles which propagated the Order's ideas; in 1988, the organization began publishing its own journal, Fenrir. Through these ventures, it established links with other neo-Nazi Satanist groups around the world; during the 2000s, it furthered its cause through embracing the Internet.

Abuse terror warning as 'Satanist' teenager jailed

A teenager involved in what police have described as a Satanist terror network targeting children online for sexual blackmail and violence has been jailed for six years at the Old Bailey.

Cameron Finnigan pleaded guilty to encouraging suicide, possessing a terrorism manual, and indecent images of a child.

The court heard the 19-year-old from Horsham was part of an extreme right-wing Satanist group called 764, which anti-terror police warn poses "an immense threat".

At least four British teenagers have been arrested in connection with the activities of the group, which has blackmailed children - mainly girls - into carrying out sexual acts, harming themselves or or even attempting suicide.

Warning - this article contains distressing content

At a previous hearing Finnigan admitted five charges and he has now been given a six-year sentence with an extended three-year licence period.

Mr Justice Jay said he posed "a high risk of serious harm to the public".

Finnigan was arrested in March 2024 after police received information that he had a gun.

No firearm was found at his home but after analysing his digital devices, officers found online chats where he encouraged one young female, believed to be in Italy, to livestream her own suicide.

Officers have been unable to identify this woman and do not know what happened to her.

In online chats Finnigan boasted to other members of 764 about his attempts to get children to hurt themselves.

Det Ch Supt Claire Finlay, head of Counter Terrorism Policing South East, says the members competed to see who was the most extreme: "If you can get someone to self-harm, you're doing quite well in that group. If you can get them to kill themselves, you're reaching the pinnacle."

An 11-page PDF document was also found on Finnigan's computer, giving detailed instructions on how to carry out a "mass casualty" terrorist attack using a lorry, firearm or knives.

And on the Telegram messaging platform, he and other members plotted what they called "terror week".

He told the group he planned to murder a homeless man living in a tent near his home, and even posted pictures of the location.

"I won't stop until he's dead," he wrote online.

"This case has been very shocking," said Det Ch Supt Finlay. "Cameron Finnigan was dangerous. There was a threat to public safety there."

    'An immense threat'
The 764 network was founded in 2020 by a US teenager, Bradley Cadenhead, who was then 15. It is believed to be named after the partial postal code of his hometown in Texas.

Police say it is part of a loose, international network of far-right extremist groups that have adopted what officers call "militant accelerationist ideology".

Those who have researched the groups say they seek to destroy modern, civilised society by committing depraved acts of violence and sexual exploitation - often involving children.

Cadenhead was arrested in 2021 and is now serving an 80-year prison sentence in Texas for the creation of videos in which children were not only being sexually abused, but also choked, beaten, suffocated and seriously injured.

The network uses Nazi and Satanist imagery. Finnigan, who went by the online username "Acid", adorned his bedroom in West Sussex with swastikas and pentagrams.

In one online post, he wrote: "Acid is Hitler's child".

Last year, the FBI released an unprecedented warning about 764, saying it "uses threats, blackmail, and manipulation to control the victims into recording or live-streaming self-harm, sexually explicit acts, and/or suicide".

Now British police have issued their own warning.

"We want to make the public aware of [764]," said Det Ch Supt Finlay. "The threat that they pose, not just within the United Kingdom but globally, is immense."

It is not known how Finnigan became involved in the group.

The BBC has spoken to one person who knew him well. They told us his behaviour had changed when he became involved with other extremists online.

"They shared all the horrible, awful stuff between each other. That's when he went from being caring and loving to manipulative, toxic, controlling and sadistic," they said.

"He never showed any guilt, he would actually boast about it with friends as if he enjoyed the suffering and found it entertaining. It was disgusting and completely inhumane."

    'Nightmare-inducing stuff'
Becca Spinks is a US-based internet investigator who has studied the group.

"They'll try to coerce and persuade young vulnerable people to self-harm, take a razor blade and carve their abuser's name into their body on video," she said.

Ms Spinks identified Finnigan as a 764 member before he was arrested. He then contacted her and, in messages seen by the BBC, he threatened to rape and kill her.

"I very quickly realised that I had kicked a really nasty hornets' nest," Spinks told us. "The FBI told me that this group was very violent and very dangerous. It's horrific, nightmare-inducing stuff."

Arrests related to 764 have been made for child abuse, kidnapping and murder in at least eight countries, including the UK.

Last year, Vincent Charlton from Gateshead, then 17, was jailed for disseminating terrorist publications, possessing documents useful to a terrorist, and making and possessing indecent images of children.

The BBC has found online that 764 is still active worldwide and has seen messages where group members boast about their exploits, sharing photos and videos of their victims.

God have mercy. St Michael the Archangel defend us in battle. The post Christian world is learning you can't have a little bit of sin. Once you open the portal the whole army of demons rushes in.

    Interesting!

The connection between Nazism and Satanism already existed in the Third Reich.
Hitler was interested in occult writings.
Heinrich Himmler, head of the brutal SS thugs and organiser of the concentration camps, was known to be a satanist. Occult rituals were celebrated at the ‘Wewelsburg’ and in the crypt of a cathedral in which SS-members also took part. Aleister Crowley was a ‘fan’ of Himmler.
    Nowadays:
I have seen satanic performances at ‘Extinction Rebellion’ events.
Epstein island was full of occultism. Diddy's parties, freemasonry...
The world is ruled by satanists.

    Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

I am only guessing but I think the big attraction for young people in Satanism is Magical Powers. They gets this from all the films where the hero has super powers or can do magic. Like the Marvel Heroes or Harry Potter. In a sense this has always been the big, big attraction to witchcraft. But I think the movies have magnified it.

But, really, what do I know about what's inside young peoples minds these days? But where there is no religion these is clearly a vacuum that needs filling.

In a way Satan when he tempted Eve with the Apple if the Garden of Eden was tempting her with magic.

Maybe a lot of them were never baptised, that would leave doors open.

  8. My opinion only but there are so many broken homes, kids growing up not knowing God...they feel accepted in these groups. They look for the weaker kids and make them promises. But yes the movies have a big impact.

Poor children. But St John Bosco saw many children in hell. Even children can choose to follow Satan.

The thing is, everyone, absolutely everyone, on earth, has something they adore, something that is truly at the center of their hearts. Of course, the center of our hearts should be Jesus Christ. And of course we should also have an intense devotion to His Church and His Blessed Mother as well.

But for those who do not believe in the one true Faith, they have to have something to fill in the gap. I guess it’s degenerated to this. I generally try to avoid people my own age because, for most of them, nothing exists their mouth except for blasphemies or some impure joke.

I think in a way trying to acquire magical powers is the exact opposite of the Mystical Life. Of having a good prayer life. Magical Powers, drug use and the use occcultive meditative practices. A kind of high speed elevator.

But there are so many false paths. If I become famous I will be happy. If I become super rich I will be happy. If I have all the sex I can get I will be happy. If I can become successful I will be happy.

I was reading the story of a Professor in a famous University who told his story of his conversion to the Faith. He said that he worked all his life to become a Professor and he attained this very early. He always thought if he got the post at Harvard he would always be happy. But the day he got it he found with a sinking feeling he was as unhappy as ever.

The only path to happiness is through Jesus Christ, through living a good, deep Spiritual Life. Even then we must carry our Cross. There is no path through this life that we can avoid suffering and death. It comes to us all. But through Christ it takes on huge meaning and inner growth.

Jesse Romero learnt from prison inmates' files that many had come into contact with the occult. I think I also read once that ‘playing’ with ‘witchboards’ is said to be widespread among young people in the US. I do not know. Also I can't say how widespread such ‘games’ are among European children. But according to surveys, almost all children in Germany have come into contact with pornography by the age of 12. These jinxed smartphones...
I don't think it makes a big difference whether children are involved in occult games or pornography.
Both open the door of the heart wide open to evil spirits.
And of course what you say is true, neither parents nor children, hardly anyone still thinks or knows anything about God.
Edit: I'll leave it at that. But it does make a qualitative difference in terms of inviting demons into your life.

God bless you so much!! You make my maternal heart soooooo proud. When I see young ppl in Church praying so fervently, very much in love with the Lord I'm so happy. I don't have kids but it makes me hopeful for my nephews & niece.

Also, the fact you're on a Catholic site like this & posting is just wonderful.

When I was at the TLM guys about your age or a bit younger came as a group of 3 or 4. We were walking out of the Chapel at the same time & it made me teary seeing them.

Thank you very much! May God bless you too. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Honestly I really love this website. My parish is really small (we only have Mass on Sunday and on holy days), I haven’t gone to college yet (but the college I’m going to has a parish nearby with daily Mass so I’m super excited for that), and I only have a few other (unfortunately non-Catholic) friends. I like this forum because it really gives me a community.

I’d love to go to the TLM, I’ve heard there are more devout young people there.

At our TLM Church there are so many young families and teens it is amazing. I still do a double take when I see them. It goes so much against the current social flow, so unexpected. The whole central reason for doing away with the ancient mass was that it was not considered modern and we needed to change to get with the times. But in fact it did the exact opposite; it put people off. From crowded Churches to empty ones.

The worst thing was the fall in priestly and religious vocations. They just vanished. Even the men who were ordained and the nuns stampeded out of the Church. Yet so few asked questions about why this might be.

The TLM is coming down with loads of priestly vocations and for nuns too. We so badly need young nuns.

Yes, you find a higher percentage of devout young people in a TLM-parish, compared to other parishes.
