I was stunned when I read this because I felt Our Lady had looked at my heart and spoken it especially to me. I've hit a very rough patch and have tossed and turned hoping to stabilize myself but nothing worked. The only stabilization will come in my simple and total obedience. In my floundering I've drifted and found myself in a great arid place, a very fearful place. This message is a life line being thrown to me. It's very clear to me and I'm so very grateful. I had asked for a Thanksgiving gift this year, an unusual request for me, and once again in His faithfulness and generosity He's supplied it.
Luke 7:24 "Every one then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock; 25 and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; 27 and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it." Lee, You've had a year of difficulty and heartbreak, a year of shifting sand. Jesus will pick you up. You are weak; he is strong. Then, step on the Rock, Lee, step on the Rock. As our Mother instructs us, "Open your hearts to God’s mercy and He will give you everything you need and will fill your hearts with peace, because He is peace and your hope." Mario, thank you. One of your gifts is your tender heart of reassurance. That day was an important turning point for me. It was as if I turned around and started walking another direction. You know the story of the boy at the foot of his mother watching her embroider? He can see nothing but knots and uneven patches of color from his vantage point. Then she lowers the embroidery so he can see the beautiful work on top. That's what happened to me that day, but I had to confess where I was before I could see ... Right after that God even sent a GIGANTIC warrior angel to reassure me "the battle belongs to the Lord". So what can I say? I'm dancing in the kitchen AGAIN!
