Someone said that we get the priests we deserve. I think this is true, they can only be as holy as we are. I went to a foundation meeting of a new political prolife party here during the week. THey were all , 'Catholics' but of them all I would say only myself and one other were what I would call a real Catholic. I mena living their Faith and going to Church every Sunday. I had imagined that sine they were all pro life they would be living their Faith but not at all. But one lady told me an interesting story. She was at Rome recently where they had a private sudience with the Pope. She said one old Spanish lady went up to Pope Francis and gave hm an earful shouting at him at the top of her voice for his various goings on. How I would have loved to have been there.Apprently Francis was furious.
Holy smokes! A video of that would go viral ! Wow...would love to meet that spunky lady! Never know...she might have given him pause. Hes not used to getting it so personally! I’d bet her beef was the abortion issue....
Those old Spanish ladies are like old Italian ladies. Fearless! Reminds me of Jesus's story about the old lady and the unjust judge. Old Jewish ladies can be pretty fierce too.
Yes...the older the better....they don’t care. Like being scolded by your grandmum. You don’t like, but you know you deserve it!
