We are not meant to be the judge of authentic prophesy, coming for instance from the Pontiff's or approved sites such as Fatima.

It is they, Prophesy, Daughter of the Spirit who are to be our benchmark, not we there.

The spectacles we are to view Prophecy then is humility, otherwise Prophesy cannot be understood.

Hence Satan, for instance had ever failed to read the Spirit's writings in the Sands of time.

Whilst the Blessed Virgin Mary has never failed to read them aright

Ever since I reverted, ive ponderd this passage...
When I meet James and John, were gonna have a fireside chat:) I wonder if the yoke would be easier for us if these 2 didn't say we can drink the same cup and handle the same baptism....

    Mark 10
38 But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?” 39 And they said to him, “We are able.” And Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drink you will drink; and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; 40 but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.”

Thanks James and John : )

It is the old adage of the glass being half empty or half full. I see the glass as half full. This is because of God's great love and mercy. He desires a world of purity more than any of us. This is what the refining our sins will bring about. I refuse to see a hopeless God, a hopeless world. The glass is not half empty.

Here is something I originally penned here back on 4/27/12:

My memories are so intimately interwoven with the sounds of music; so much so, that upon hearing a particular song, a specific emotion, event, or year quickly takes center stage in my mind. The Mission and its haunting soundtrack is prominent among these. Why? Because I am a dreamer who grieves at the depth of depravity in the world, who rejoices when the Mother Theresa's make the Gospel come alive, and who, ultimately yearns for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. A year after this movie burst upon the scene, and just before my family's pilgrimage to Medjugorje, almost a dozen families with a smattering of singles began to meet at the spacious home of Ron and Nancy Karns. It was there that the Sabbath Group was born and it was there that my beautiful wife, Geralyn, and I, first viewed this film. We all became very close and there was some talk of forming a Catholic covenant community, to be a light on a hilltop for all to see. It was the 1980s and the desire to join with others as a witness for Christ was deep. Our families were young and the holy formation of our children was foremost in our minds.

The Jesuits of the 18th century had similar ideals and were far more successful than our little Sabbath Group. They brought the indigenous tribes in South America out of the jungles and settled them on truly Catholic haciendas. Insulated from the greed and depravity of the Spanish settlements, the Jesuits converted the natives to the Two Hearts, healed their spiritual wounds, and introduced them to the best of European culture. It was a honeymoon experience that lasted for three generations, but was snuffed out with the suppression of the Society of Jesus in the 1770s.

The movie depicts the work of the Jesuits among one of the Guarine tribes in Paraguay. In a certain fashion, their work formed a living prophecy of how life will be lived during the Era of Peace. Similar attempts were made by the Jesuits in Canada, by Fra Juniper Sierra on the California coast, and by Father DeSmet with the Flathead Indians in the American Rockies. Eventually, the culture at large encroached upon the tranquility of these missions and it seems all was lost. But in their noble attempt, thousands of souls were saved and tasted the goodness of the Lord.

Though the exuberance of my youth is now tempered, I've learned the importance of staying connected with other Catholics who love God and pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." It is not the time for Lone Rangers! So I pray that our new member, Freedom, and all of you seek and find companion souls nearby. May you join together in consecrating your hearts and hopefully your homes to the Two Hearts. May you walk together on the path that will soon lead through the valley of the shadow of death. But praise God, then will the Triumph of Mary's Heart take place, the devil will be banished, and the Reign of the Sacred Heart revealed. Even if we who are older do not live to see the day, let us fervently pray for our children and grandchildren, for surely they will. It is coming!

Then will the holy Jesuits of the 18th century rejoice to see their dream fulfilled! Alleluia!

Isaiah 11: 4 But with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. 5 Righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins. 6 The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall feed; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 The sucking child shall play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. 9 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

I see it quite different Fatima . And that wont surprise you , you know Im a doom an gloom merchant (n).
I dont even see the glass half empty , more like 95% empty.
The Faith has fallen very low , and the world is ready for chastisement.
We have just witnessed the once great catholic country of Ireland embrace sodomy , without a peep from the Holy Father .
Did you see a hopeless God in the time of Noah?

I think we all need to pray to the Holy Spirit for the gift of courage as we are going to need it.

Soon, very soon the Catechism of the Catholic Church will be considered 'hate speech'.

Things have spiralled downwards much more quickly than we could ever have thought. The nations are blind to the truth and the dictatorship of relativism is growing ever more powerful and encroaching each day.

George Orwell was a visionary for when we tamper with language we tamper with the truth.

    Hi Picadillo,

I take St JPII's prediction of a "new springtime" for the church as literal.

Just as I take Our Lady's predictions of the warning, the miracle and the chastisment as literal.

A prediction when given/uttered is just that, it is a something that hasn't happened yet (that is at the time the prediction is uttered).

In reference to the new springtime for the Church, I may be wrong but haven't our Holy Fathers used words such as preparation, readiness, hinting that it is to come?

Have any of the past three popes stated that we are now living in the new Springtime of the church?

If so I can see your point, however, I still literally believe the prediction of a "new springtime" for the church is coming.

So what your saying is that St Pope John Paul II just failed to mention the little part about a great falling away of the Faith ,long hard winter and chastisement before the springtime?

Have any of the past three popes stated that we are now living in the new Springtime of the church?

Speaking with the Polish Catholic news agency KAI, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger said that the “new springtime” of the Church is a reality, but that it will not “necessarily” be significant in terms of numbers.

The Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith told KAI that there are groups of the new generations in the Church today which represent “a new springtime of the Church that renews the world.” The Cardinal explained that “we should not think that in the near future Christianity will become a movement of the masses again, going back to a situation like Medieval times.”

“At least we cannot expect that in the current conditions,” he added.

Nevertheless, recalling a phrase used by Lenin of Communist Russia, Ratzinger said that “the powerful minorities, which have something to say and something to bring to society, will determine the future.”

I believe The above is really heartening!

Our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI, before he is elected Pope understands the meanings of His Holiness St Pope JPII and tells us that the new springtime is being prepared in ways that we don't expect!

He states (the “new springtime” of the Church is a reality, but that it will not “necessarily” be significant in terms of numbers. )

and also ( there are groups of the new generations in the Church today which represent “a new springtime of the Church that renews the world.” )

and again (“we should not think that in the near future Christianity will become a movement of the masses again, at least we cannot expect that in the current conditions,)

This new springime is being prepared by many different groups.

As The Cardinal explained “the powerful minorities, which have something to say and something to bring to society, will determine the future.”

Perhaps we, the Mother of God Forum, is one of these groups.

Now theres a positive thought! ;)

As the world grows darker, my faith is growing brighter. The interior peace and joy that the Holy Spirit has afforded me is what makes my glass half full. Yes, I see the world going to hell in a hand-basket, but at the same time, I have never been closer to God through my prayer life. My mind and my heart thinks about God and heavenly things all the time. It is a gift and it is growing every day. Praise God (y)

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Thanks to Mark Mallett, I got a much better understanding of how things are unfolding in our day, God bless Mark.

Without trying to quote Marks writings, I came to understand that things unfold like the seasons.

Now if your gardening is as good as mine, you will notice this years growth comes through in the spring and blossoms, even if you have not (mea culpa) weeded out all last years remnants.

Making this comparison, consider the old deadwood as sins maybe forgiven but not atoned for. And we have 'a new springtime,' in the middle of a glut of old weeds (sins) and deadwood (transgressions).

I hope someone can see where I am coming from.

If you ask me, the Holy Fathers have never got it wrong in the past. I look for the reasons we are not enjoying the promise of 'A New Springtime.' And hay presto it is all around us; but we can't see the wood for the trees.

To get proof, check the lines queuing for confession. How many take the advice of Our Lady to make reparation in the First Saturdays. The First Fridays. A bit of fasting. Reading Holy Bible. Rosary. Plenty of Holy advice. Any takers?

There are so many little devotions, Chaplets, litanies and untold numbers of prayers to the Angels and Saints. I see these as Heavenly Gems. There is a whole treasure trove of Heavenly Gems for us to choose from. A Heavenly box of chocolate where there must be one we can't resist.

I see these Gems as God's way of inviting us to come to Him our beloved Father.

And when I hear of another devotional prayer, and hear people and even Priests say, oh not another one. I think they should be saying WOW, another gem, anyone want to taste and see. For surely the Lord is good. But He won't make us try anything. He waits for us. Bless His Holy Name.

I agree and feel the same way. It has definitely been a new spring time for me; a far gone fallen away cradle Catholic who was knee deep in the New Age belief and life of sin just 2 and a half years ago.

"The Blessed Virgin told me that the decisive victory which will end the saturation of the world with lies, and that will open the way of the promised holy peace, will come when satan will have gained power everywhere, when he will have seduced most souls, when in his haughtiness, which knows no bounds, he will feel that he can ruin all God's creation, including souls; when the true faith and light will live only in a few souls, because all of uncertain will have gone over to his side; then the victory will come suddenly and unexpectedly."
