I would also like to add the confusion surrounding the Marian Movement of Priests supposed locutions to Fr Stefano Gobbi, "the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary would occur by the great jubilee of the year 2000". A false locution in my opinion which can not be twisted into the truth.
I surely thought and taught that the tribulation, illumination and triumph was to take place by the end of the millennium. Those close to me (especially my oldest children) remind me of this when I speak of the current times. I think Verne's message in GSWYL helped me understand why it did no take place then. His message in dealing with God's extended mercy due to Pope John Paul's consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is what delayed the purification and provide humanity a little while longer to repent and find their lost faith. I for one am very grateful for this grace and extended time.
Here is an interesting prophecy by Sr. Jeanne le Royer, a French nun who received a series of apocalyptic visions in the 18th century. It shows that perhaps there was a possible plan that the events would happen before the year 2000 but the date was postponed by heaven. Jesus said “Do not forget that those are not millenaries but only centuries and they are few in number” But I understood that Jesus reserved to Himself the knowledge of the exact number and I did not wish to ask him more. It sufficed me to know the peace of the church and the restoration of the discipline were to last a reasonably long time…” Writing towards the end of the 18th century, Sr. le Royer was told that the "sun would set in about 2 hours", and that these hours represented centuries - placing the significance of her prophecies as relating to sometime around the turn of the millennium. Yet before this "setting of the sun", when the world will pass away, Sr. le Royer was shown that the Church would be restored during an age of peace which would last "a reasonably long time". Given that her prophecies are centred around the turn of the millennium, it seems that the age of peace given to the world before the coming of the Antichrist is related to this exact time period. The above prophecies of Sr. Jeanne le Royer are fairly well known, having been cited in the books Catholic Prophecy by Yves Dupont and The Prophets and Our Times, by Rev. Gerard Fulton. But there is another lesser known prophecy of the Sister of the Nativity which dates the significance of her prophesied events even more specifically to the second decade of the 21st century: "Woe ! Woe ! Woe to the last century ! Here is what God wanted to show me in his Light. I began looking in the light of God, the century which must begin in 1800; I saw by this light that judgement wasn't there, and that it wouldn't be the last century. I considered, thanks to the same light, the century of 1900, until the end, to see positively if it would be the last. Our Lord made me know, and at the same time made me doubt, if it would be at the end of the century of 1900, or in that of 2000. But what I saw, it is that if the judgment arrived in the century of 1900, it would come only towards the end, and that if the world exceeds this century, the first two decades of the century of 2000 will not pass without the judgment intervening, as I saw it in the light of God." (Vie et Révélations de Sœur de la Nativité, Charles Genet, book IV, pp. 125-126) Here, Sr. le Royer tells us that a judgment she was shown in "the light of God" would take place before the first two decades of the 21st century had passed. But what could this particular judgment refer to? A link between this prophecy and the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in 2017 seems obvious - since is seems that this is the date with the most prophetic significance that would occur before "the first two decades of the century of 2000" have passed. But the fact that the visionary was shown a judgment taking place in "the light of God" sounds remarkably similar to the words of the Third Secret of Fatima.
I am beginning to realize that no one can interpret these locutions/messages. Are they literal or are they allegorical? Only after hindsight can most of them be interpreted. Which one is it? Are these times "worse than the times of Noah"? The "cup is overflowing"? or are so many people praying that mercy has been extended 15 years? 15 years and counting! Must be a lot of people praying, better than at least the time of Lot and Sodom and Gommorrah. As for St. JPII's "new springtime"? I am sorry but that appears to be a cruel joke on all who take their faith seriously. For all of you safe haven believers, he also said the area he lives in will be a safe haven. Has anyone seen the flooding going on down there right now? Jade Helm going on there right at this moment? "New springtime? Any young catholic child can tell you that is heaven. I just don't see any of the fruits here on earth, maybe he meant all of our glorious new martyrs giving their lives for Christ, inspirational and saints all of them for sure! Maybe that is what is called for all of us,. Maybe martyrdom is "the new springtime".
Trying to tie things right down is a bummer,always was, always will be. Certainly I do not expect to see the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart ♥ in my own lifetime.
But two things I think we will see very rapidly. Two Churches,one as it is now,organised,hierarchical,imposing as the Anglican Church is now but false,working with Satan and the world most of our present hierarchy will lead it. The other true Church,tiny,derided,persecuted,hated,derides

This is very similar to what the stigmatist and mystic Marie-Julie Jahenny said: On December 14th, 1881 Our Mother says; "The time of the crimes has begun ... woe to those who dare to make pacts with these personages who appear in diabolical visions,... many souls will be possessed a few months before (the crisis) ... , the world will be mad with fear and in this madness, the devil, who is everywhere on earth, will make them deny their baptism and the cross ... . Many mothers will be heartless for their own fruits, still innocent, flowers in Heaven."
People need to read the interpretation from those priests, esp. the appointed directors of the MMP, heavily involved with MMP and who have been very close to Fr. Gobbi....esp. the appointed head of the Marian Movement of Priests in the U.S., whose position is fully endorsed by the Church. He has been given permission, by his Superior General, after having been informed by Cardinal Velasio De Paolis, that the MMP "is a great help to the Church", to work full time for the MMP and to reside at the international headquarters when in Italy. The falsehoods about "out of favor with the Church et al" just don't have any foundation other than in the realm of gossip. Fr. Gobbi continued to celebrate private masses with his great friend, JPII. Via those close to the history it is said that JPII, as Karol Wojtyla, was with Fr. Gobbi (and another priest) at Fatima when he surprisingly and unexpectedly experienced his first locution. It certainly cannot be said that that special focus on the needs of priests who were being shunned by so many within the Church, esp. if they had strong devotions to Mary, has not been one of the most fruitful gifts to them and the Church....a real saving grace. One of the directives for the current, ongoing Cenacles, is 4. "Reading of one of the Blessed Mother's messages from the book, "To the Priests, Our Lady's Beloved Sons." and..."It is prohibited to introduce any other messages or private devotions."! Just FYI.... and Fr. Ronan Murphy, spoken of here in other threads, has been given permission by his Bishop to conduct cenacles throughout the U.S. Great priest...and great defender of Fatima as ongoing.
What we the Catholic Church are going through is the harshest and most harrowing of winters and we can expect it to drag on for more years. Winter is a time when growth depletes, a time when all living things close down, do not produce and some even die. Many times over the years I have planted trees but during the winter watched as many died. It is only those that are in some way more resilient that survive, those with deep roots or those that have been sheltered from the bitter frosts. Only the truly tough seem to survive some winters. Even though they have been ravaged they come out stronger at the other end. And then its the Springtime! Springtime is a time when the plants and animals that have survived the winter, come forth and renew the earth with their strong shoots to embrace the world and with their beautiful abundant growth that blossoms forth, producing fruits and reproducing. Has the Holy Father indicated that the Lord is preparing the young of today for the new beautiful springtime? He most certainly has! The glorious springtime- a time to look forward to. The Holy Fathers over the last 10-15 years have been proclaiming the coming springtime, looking forward to the springtime and not just bemoaning this cold winter. The young of today are our hope! They are God’s children who have been brought into this world at the cruellest of times. The young of today have been thrown into an ungodly society where right is proclaimed as wrong and wrong proclaimed as right, where injustice and obscenity is splashed in front of their faces continually on their TVs, computers, iphones, ipads and ipods; where virtual games dictate that life is not important and politics and authority are shown to be toothless tigers. Most teens and even twenty and thirty year olds have faced more evil in their short lives than the majority of us over 40 will face in a lifetime and yet they still long for God and long for Love. They are Gods children and God will lead and bless them. I am sure of this. I am sure of this because I have been blessed with children and they have given me more joy and love than I could ever begin to give to them, they have been the jewels that God has crowned me with. I have been privileged to behold the life of a child of God. Today my precious gifts, my children have been damaged by this harsh winter. But even though the bitter cold and dark has retarded their growth, their core is sheltered; as they are wrapped in our Lady’s mantle and the breath of God the Holy Spirit still warms their soul. When Our blessed Mother’s heel has crushed satans head and all the accumulated rot of this world is washed away, I know the youth of today will march boldly into this new springtime holding a banner proclaiming the Glories of God.

As I said, when you look at most locutions/prophetic warnings,etc. most can only be interpreted either literally, allegorically, or in hindsight. St JPII's prediction of a "new springtime" for the church is now being interpreted in hindsight since everyone agrees it was not literal. It reminds me of when the word "soon" is used, what does "soon" mean in these prophetic warnings? Now, in hindsight, the "new springtime" means after the harshest of winters there will be a "new springtime". As an aside, all of us who have watched our children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents leave the faith, it sure feels like the prediction of a "new springtime" was a cruel joke. Sorry, just the facts.
I don't see it that way Picadillo. God's time is not our time. We expect things to happen fast because to us 20 years is forever but it is nothing to God because He is outside of time. I am of the belief that the church has been in its winter ever since Satan was granted his time of persecution in the church (probably around 1917) as Pope Leo XIII vision. This winter has been harsh for the church especially since the 60's. This time is coming to an end but like most winters, there is always one last burst of winter right before spring. I feel this last blast is the storm that is upon us but it is just beginning and it will be an awful last storm of winter before the springtime begins. Just my two cents but obviously don't know if this is to be.

However as soon as the sermon was over I thought of Christ' other words...."For my yoke is easy and my burden is light!
This has been my own experience in my own spiritual life,great,great joy coupled by periods of really intense suffering, but always, always, always joy, peace,delight, the fruits of the Spirit.
It is very noticeable to me how the Holy Spirit speaks to us, resting between the twin pillars of Paradox. Buy this should not cause us to despise the Spirit or His daughter, Prophesy.
