I think so too, and with the altar rails people will be able to kneel as they receive (right now many churches have those rails but still don't let people kneel at them).

The language spoken might or might not be Latin, I think that will depend on different countries, but ultimately it just doesn't matter whereas those other things matter I'd say.

These reported messages are troubling to me. I prefer Charlie Johnston's view of things; that there will be a huge storm, but that it will have a definitive end in a short period of time (by the end of 2017), but that the Pope has already turned the corner and now understands and has embarked on his mission. Realistically, I think this stigmatic is closer to the truth.

I think if the Holy Father is to turn the corner it will be about now. He needs tons of prayer:

Cardinal Burke has the right idea - storm heaven with the Rosary.

Cardinal Raymond Burke is calling on faithful Catholics to “storm heaven” by joining with him once a month in the Mass and the Rosary to pray for hope and guidance out of the Church’s current “confusion.”

I like the idea of altar rails and have no problem with communion on the tongue which would go some way towards preventing the Eucharist being taken and used for evil purposes. I'm easy on whether or not the priest faces the people but I wouldn't like to go back to Mass being said in Latin.

I see what your are saying, the Latin mass is maybe not the ideal for everybody, but still a High Mass with Gregorian chant done well can be really something though.

The Last appartion Peter quotes regarding Pope Francis is the apparitions of Our Lady of Zaro. Apparently these are quite famous in Italy and they forever doing news programmes and documentaries about them because they forecast 9/11. They started to several young people back in '94 at Zaro near Naples and the local Bishop is looking into them.

Message of Our Lady of Zaro, September 26, 2015, given to Simona

I saw (Our) Mother dressed all in pink, a very pale pink, she had a white veil on her head and a blue mantle on her shoulders, the Holy Rosary between her hands , joined in prayer.

    May Jesus be praised

" Dear children, I love you immmensely and to see you here fills my heartwith joy.

My children, I come to ask you for prayer, prayer for my beloved Church, for my favoured son, the Vicar of Christ; the Supreme Pontiff has a great task, his task is arduous.

The Vision begins: the Dome of St Peter's in Rome cracks and from it dense black smoke comes out; in the ancient square the old enemy in the form of a dragon advances with steps that make the gorund shake, with his tail he destroys the colonnade of the Square , from his mouth come out blasphemies and curses, a horrible smell and nauseous green vomit.

At the top of the great steps of the Square is the Pope, Pope Francis with the mitre on his head and the Crozier in his right hand ; he is sitting on a very luxurious chair , he rests the elbow of his left arm on the armrest of the cahir, bows his head and covers his face with his left hand . On his right are many priests sitting on simple chairs , all wearing black cassocks.

Now the Square is covered with corpses, in particular very many rotting priest's corpses, eaten byworms; the Old Enemy in the form of a Dragon continues to advance towards the Pope, crushing and trampling the corpses, some he takes hold of with his mouth and throws away. other he devours, on others he vomits.

    Revelation 12:9

The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Pope Francis stands up and bangs the point of the crozier on the ground three times , all the priests aorund him get up, as with a roar they begin to rpay and it sarts to rain, the rain falls and becomes a fire which burns and consumes everything it touches , including the Ancient Enemy.

Quite a vision that was. I wonder how literally we should take it.

As I said in an earlier post on this thread (re-printed below), in terms of mystics associated with officially approved appartions who are still receiving heavenly communications, besides Edson Glauber in Brazil, there is also Gladys Quiroga de Motta, the visionary of San Nicolas in Argentina. The messages to Gladys Q. are generally simple (yet profound), limpid, catechetical. There are virtually no references to specific contemporary world events. Which is what makes her entry for March 13, 2013, the date of Francis's election, so significant (if I had seen this in time, I would have included it in the appendix my book in which I quote several IMHO credible contemporary mystics whose locutions make positive references to Pope Francis):

    March 13, 2013
After praying, thanking the Lord and the Most Holy Virgin, because today the Argentinian Cardinal Msgr Jorge Bergoglio was elected Pope, I see Her saying to me: My daughter, Jesus Christ loves humanity and His Holy Spirit acted in favour of that same humanity giving this new Pope. He is humble and good.

    From the same source:
    July 28, 2013
'Pray for the Pope, that selfless servant of Christ.'
Ora por el Papa, este abnegado servidor de Cristo.

October 8, 2014 [just after the opening of the Synod on the Family]
'Pray for the Pope, pray for all Priests. These sons must be courageous, in imitation of your Pope.'
Orad por el Papa, orad por los Sacerdotes todos. Valientes tienen que
ser estos hijos, a imitación de vuestro Papa.

Well, Peter, your post here is a big surprise to me. I had thought that the messages in San Nicolas had stopped many years ago!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I really felt these were authentic messages. For me, the authentic voice of Our Lady is recognisable here unlike in so many other claimed contemporary messages. I presume that the more recent messages are not available in English?

Not yet ... that's understandable insofar as it was only in 2014 that Bishop Hector Cardelli re-started publication of Gladys Quiroga's messages, but their relative obscurity (despite her approved status) it is a salutary reminder that God is doing many things out of the sight of the world that don't make it onto the internet! That's always been His way, of course...

Although I know you have a more 'flexible' approach to contemporary prophecy than I do, there is a sentence in your previous post that I find is particularly relevant. It said of the San Nicolas messages, "There are virtually no references to specific contemporary world events.".

I think the fascination for many in contemporary prophecy is wanting to know what is going to happen and what does God think about this and that. I have the same fascination but I do not think God comes down to us to appeal to our curiosity. So, for me, this aspect of Gladys' messages is another pointer to authenticity. It is an aspect which the Medjugorje messages share.

I hope we all agree that curiosity is an extremely poor motivation for an interest in the prophetic (we are not talking about 'sanctified horoscopes' here!), especially when people ignore the pedagogical side of mystical literature. However, Jesus himself said specifically that part of the work of the Holy Spirit is to 'tell you what is yet to come' (John 16:13): the predictive aspect of prophecy is a question of providing practical guidance for the Church in times of need (such as Agabus saying in Acts 11 that there would be a famine in the whole Roman world). And equally obviously, the Old Testament prophetic ministry was intensely connected with future world events, some of which are still ahead of us (Daniel, Zechariah ...). So I think that the presence or absence of a predictive dimension is neither here nor there when it comes to evaluating prophetic material. But if there are predictions, it goes without saying that have to be accurate - while taking into account the conditional nature of some prophetic warnings - in order for a source to be credible.

As for Gladys Quiroga, her credibility comes primarily from the fact that the Church approved the San Nicolas apparitions to her; interestingly, it seems that Bishop Cardelli was in discussion with René Laurentin before deciding to re-authorize publication of her messages in 2014:

I finished Peter Bannister's book yesterday, No false prophet, Pope Francis and his not so cultured despisers: a theme and four variations. It is very good and erudite. It is available on Amazon. It debunks certain assumptions about prophesy and sensationalism. God bless Peter for his insight.
