I will be 62 this year and I am in need of prayer my family will not understand me I am a Protestant minister and my whole life this voice and dreams have been leading me to this point in my life I have not seen my mother since I was 2 years old so in my journey I have found out many truths about the church where I was taught false truths about the catholic church l prayed one night late at night in 2005 and asked mother Mary to me my mom and she appeared to me she said nothing but I knew that that moment she took me in as her son this mouth I started RCIA classes and next Easter with be one catholic my family and friends will condemn me for this Choice but I know that this is the real truth and church so I ask for prayer to keep me strong as I become catholic

Sounds like you have had a very interesting and obstacle ridden journey so far!
But Our Dearest Mother Mary is leading you home.

May God continue to give you the graces to follow the truths He is showing you.

Do not worry too much about your family as the Blessed Virgin is the untier of knots, the dispenser of all graces, Mother of perpetual succour, Our Lady of good counsel and Queen of Angels and Men. Just continue to pray and hope.

    God Bless

I will add your intentions to my next rosary.

Prayer for you Danny. I was touched in the life of Blessed John Henry Newman with how very much he suffered in his conversion to the Church. He sacrificed virtually everything to make it.

While he was in the Anglican Church he and his friends and formed their own little Monastery called Littlemore. But years later when he was a Cardinal a Protestant clergyman noticed him standing outside Littlemore with tears running down his cheeks. A life time later and if still hurt. But the rewards for himself and all converts are immense.

I love watching , 'The Journey Home', on EWTN hosted by a former Presbyterian Minister called Marcus Grodi.

Prayers and masses over the weekend. Your
journey may have its hardships but it has a wonderful harbor. For the Eucharist alone I would sacrifice all

Therefore, I will trust Him, whatever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him, in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him. If I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain. He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends. He may throw me among strangers. He may make me feel desolate, make my spirits sink, hide my future from me. Still, He knows what He is about.”
    ― John Henry Newman

    My Brother,

Our co-present God of Love reveals Himself to us in our need. Our faith filled response back to Him (through Christ and His Spirit) is itself a tremendous gift of our Father. Hold fast to the look in Mother's eyes, Her gestures and whatever else you can. This will help to sustain you (along with your prayer, study and good works) on your journey to the cross where you too can look forward each day to dying to self so that you may rise again with Christ on Easter Sunday! You will be in my daily prayers Danny, and I ask you to keep me in yours.

May Christ's Peace be with you and your Family Danny,
    Ed

This is a very beautiful story that is unfolding. May God grant you the grace to continue on your journey to a deeper love to do his holy will and the fortitude to stay strong during times of despair. Never forget that you have a very large family in Heaven that will be praying for you. Trust in the Lord.

Oh most Glorious and humble mother of our Lord Jesus and Mother to us all please keep our brother Danny within your mantle of comfort and protection as he moves forward to the fullness of Christ and his Truth of the Roman Catholic Church. Oh Blood and Water gushing forth from the Font of Divine Mercy, I trust in you.

Danny, I pray for your spiritual physical and emotional strength for enduring the days, months and years ahead. Go with God, you have been chosen to follow our General Mary in the battle of our lives.

    Danny,

You are in my prayers. May you find strong saints above and strong saints here in the Church to journey with you. And remember that those who attempt to deter you believe they are acting in your best interest. May your humility and sincerity calm their fears.

    Safe Under Mary's Mantle!

    Danny,

You have been given a great blessing :) Please don't worry. I will give you the great secret. And this secret is starting to expand throughout the church.

    Live the moment!

Nothing else matters. What ever your call is at the present moment...give it up to God. The past is gone...so why worry. The future has not happened... so why worry. You are actually very lucky to be starting fresh.

God has blessed you with a gift. Your whole life has been led up to this moment. Except the cross and join the communion of saints. Jesus never said it was going to be easy. So again don't worry and live the moment.

And even though we accept the cross...we accept it with joy and happiness. If our family gets mad at us for our faith...we accept it humbly but with the joy of understanding God has called us to this life.

Life is really making decisions based on the love of Jesus. Enjoy the ride...no one said it would be easy.

May God Bless you Saint Danny...May You Always do Gods Will.

Danny, it is no accident that Blessed Mother has led you to this forum! Stay with us, please, and do what has been posted above. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all else will be provided."

If you haven't already read it, Rome Sweet Home by Scott Hahn is an excellent book! It describes Dr. Hahn's conversion and struggles as he went from a being a Protestant minister to being a member of the Catholic Church. He faced much opposition from family and friends. The book also discusses how he came to understand some of the more "difficult" Catholic teachings.
