My son's best friend and his young wife are expecting a baby any day soon. Unfortunately, her father is on a syringe driver and near death with cancer. I think the couple wanted him to live to see the child. May God's will be done and the healing power of Christ heal and restore him even temporarily for him to see his first grandchild.
I'm so sorry that his grandchild was not born sooner so he could have met him/her in the flesh but I am certain that the parents will share memories of him with their child and I believe that a part of him will be with them forever. I also think that the new baby will greatly help your son's best friend in his grieving process. May God bless them all.+
