Hi all. Can I ask you to pray for my daughter, nephew and niece who traveled from NY to Indianapolis to join over 20,000 other young Catholics in 4 dates of prayer, renewal, worship and fellowship with fellow young Catholics from across the US. They need our prayers and we need their enthusiasm - they are not just the Church of tomorrow but of today. Praise be Jesus Christ! Now and forever. Amen Take a look http://www.ncyc.info
Whoo hoo. Alleluia. Thanks for keeping them in prayers. I'm very moved watching this. Jesus is our hope and these young folks are grabbing it and holding onto it right now.
I think it's in Indianapolis through Saturday night. I've been watching the live stream all night. Very moving. Very hopeful.
Mike praying for your ones and Marti's son and all at the gathering. I hope to remember them all at mass through the week. It is a very sad thought but I am always a little surprised these days when I hear of the young turning to God. I work with a lot of youngsters and none of them are Godly, some of them atheists and I have got to thinking all the young have turned away, though of course they have not. The Holy Fathers visit to Brazil should have taught me there is still huge faith out there but some how I forgot. I heard a former Archbishop of Canterbury say the other day that he expects the Anglican Church to be exstinct in a generation. This with all their 'Modernisations' and 'progressive' 'liberal' policies..the young just walked away. A lesson for we Catholics. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/rel...ct-in-one-generation-warns-ex-archbishop.html
I was at the Youth 2000 retreat in Steubenville in 1995 ,when the famous storm ripped through at night , destroying every tent EXCEPT where mass was said, and the confessional. Hmmm interesting.
I am going to Mother Angelicas and will pray for them. I am also praying for all the intentions of the forum members while there. God Bless!
