    Fatima,
I wont tease because it is not my place to hide things the popes have said. I will spell out exactly the position, but the book explains everything in detail. The question at the heart of the book is this. Is there to be an era of temporal peace before the end of the world? (and I am not talking about truces between nations but a real divine peace) The answer from the magisterium is categorical. NO
what then of Fatima's Triumph of the Immaculate Heart? It is the second (final coming of Jesus).
There are no references in any papal documents of such an era. Only condemnations of such an idea. The true peace-eschatological peace comes after the Last Judgment. There is a very well known priest who has written books about a temporal kingdom .In my book, I can prove beyond doubt that this interpretation is totally contradictory to that of the popes.
In reality we have a misunderstanding of the term end of the world. The truth is there is no end of the world as such. The entire universe will be renewed forever. And the mistake people make is thinking that because the understading was that the world would be destroyed, then the era of peace logically had to come before the end.
What I can show is that there is no contradiction between prophecies of an era of peace and the final coming of Jesus at the end of time. Even Pope John Paul 's prophecy of a great springtime to come can be explained as pertaining to the time after the last judgment. (its all in the book)
All I would say to everyone who considers reading the book is to read it without any influence from prior knowledge of private interpretations of Fatima, Garabandal Medjugorje or Fr Gobbi. As we know, apparition messages must fit in with the magisterium's teachings not the other way round. There has been a not so subtle twisting of terms such as second coming. Even Mark Miravalle has suggested is doesn't refer to the final coming but an intermediate coming. This is just wrong.
The Lord is preparing to return soon in his glorious body and when he does it will be for the final judgment.
One quote from the opening page of the book is this from Pope John Paul in Malawi in 1989 " In the meantime we, members of the Church, must be watchful and ready. We must also do everything possible to prepare the world for Christ’s final Coming-for Judgement." The emphasis was the Pope's.

  2. Stephen. I have been a member of the MMP since 1982. I love Fr. Gobbi and completely believe his messages and am always trying to get priests to go to the retreats. Although I knew of Cardinal Dias from the MMP retreat, I knew nothing about him. As I was going through the names of cardinals, his name literally jumped off the page at me. I took great interest in it and began to study about him. This was after I had read the messages of Fr. John Essiff's visionary at locutions.org, which speak of the next Pope being 'totally and absolutely our Lady's beloved son who lives in and through her Immaculate Heart and was chosen for these times. And that he was a hidden soul who was humble and obedient to her words" I jumped for joy when I read that Cardinal Dias was Portuguese by heritage, but was raised in India and that he rarely gave interviews. He also has her image on his Cardinal's ring.
So you can imagine I was jumping up and down because I know about his phone call to the Holy Father after Fr. Gobbi died, and he would be the highest ranking person in the MMP, which really gives him a lot of clout in my heart. ... I am sorry to say he is in ill health. I hate to say that we need a WISE , HOLY , OBEDIENT Pope more than a young , vibrant one, but no one gave me a vote! lol So, I am just praying for our Lord's will to be done. I too believe in the miracles in Naju, having been there, witnessed miracles and also being the spiritual daughter of the late Bishop Roman Danylak who blessed the land where the Basilica is going to be and who witnessed the miracle of the Eucharist and gave official testimony for the apparitions and the miracles to the Vatican. I have heard first hand the wonderful fruits of the apparition, and I am one of them. Things will turn around AFTER this Pope gets in. I'll bet money on it. Bertone' , who was for it and then turned tails, will now, hopefully NOT have a say in it.... You truly have been blessed to have his foreward in your book. I wish I could meet you both for coffee!!:coffee: I live in Montana, where do you live?

Question: What other Cardinals do you know that are in the MMP? I know the Bishops, but not the Cardinals.

  3. Fascinating! So where does this leave St. Faustina and her messages? That would make Maria Valtorta's books right on the money....which I already knew they were, but very few people have read them all to see what Jesus has said ...at the end...lol

Now, I can't wait to read the book! Actually, have you read 'The End of this present Age' by a priest who was a mystic and whose book St. Therese' recommended and said it 'formed her spiritually'? Every time she read out of it , it sent her into ecstasy! This also speaks of the 'end of days' but doesn't have a finality that so many others do. Its all an ongoing process of perfection until the DIVINE WILL is done on Earth as it is in HEAVEN...

Mothersuperior-wait until you read the chapter entitled The Spark From Poland? St Faustina (my favourite saint) is central because Jesus was talking of the "final Coming" explicitly. I live in Southampton England-about 4000 mile away! The only other MMP Cardinal recently was Cardinal Daoud, but he died last year. I havent read that book but I know of its fame.

    Mothersuperior,
I did mean to say if you could spread the word over there to as many members of the MMP you know,I would be extremely grateful. It was an MMP priest who originally introduced me to some of BL JP II's prophetic speeches about the second coming.
I am really hoping (God Willing) that it can become a useful resource to all MMP members, especially as love for the pope is central to its message.
    God bless Stephen

  6. Of course I will! I will recommend it to all my Diocese also!

"Father, may they be one in you as I am one in you". The Church will be one again, Jews/Greeks/ Christian Denominations?Russian/ Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic alike. The words of Christ Himself, and we all know that The Word of God never comes back empty, but it achieves what it says. :)

    Mothersuperior7,
I got the MMP letter through yesterday which said that 2 Cardinals were present at the International retreat last year. Cardinal Dias was one, and the other was Cardinal Silvano Piovanelli. He is 89 In think, retired Archbishop of Florence

Stephen, You are the first one I am aware of that recognises the era of peace with the second coming and St Faustina. :)

Jesus said this to St Faustina. He says when He comes in His mercy those who go through the door of mercy will enter the new life where there is no pain. But before this we will see our sins, only because God the Father decided on this some time ago.
He also said St Faustina will prepare the world for His second coming.
What was St Faustina's job? To let the world know Jesus is coming in His unfathamable Divine Mercy before He opens the door of judgement.

Stephen, I would take it you can't see it possible there is a warning?

    Hi Jane,
Actually I am totally open to warnings, secrets etc before the last day dawns. Presumably all this will happen before or during the final persecution of the Antichrist. I didnt leave out unapproved apparitions because I dont believe in them, rather I just felt that it would cloud the message of the popes. What I hope is that people will read the book, then go back to the apparition messages and then see a greater clarity in what is to happen. That is what I felt the Lord and His Mother calling me to do.

Fair enough. I still stand alone. :(
Sometimes, I think it must be me that has it wrong!
It isn't easy being a minority or being one who goes against the trend.

Every now and again, I remind myself that Jesus also moved against the trend.

I wish you well with your book! :D

    Hi Stephen,
Thanks for all the info on your book. I hope some day to buy it.

If I am reading your post above correct, you conclude that the pope's are preparing us for the final coming of Jesus, for his final judgement. How does this fit in with the 1,000 year era of peace and the great monarch?

I've always kind of felt that the secrets/chastisements warned of at apparition sites would herald in THE antichrist and final coming of Jesus. After all, it was told to St. Faustina that the spark from Poland would prepare the world for Jesus to return. But, then that era of peace muddy's the picture for me. I do believe we could have experienced the era of peace during the brief period of peace after JPJII helped topple the iron curtain and communism. I don't know.

But, am I reading your post correct, in that you feel we are in for THE antichrist and final coming of Jesus? Thanks!

If I am allowed to answer this, I would like to give my view on it.

Jesus said to St Faustina, when this illumination of conscience comes, this is HIs final Coming. And for those that recongnise His coming in His Unfathamable Divine Mercy, can enter the door of mercy where there is no more suffering. He said these very important words!
This I believe is the 1000 years of peace, in what I don't understand totally. But 1000 years could mean eternity.

It is very important to follow up on what I have just said, because Jesus also said. If you don't take that door of mercy, you will have to take His door of Justice.

    "Jesus, I trust in You."

Thanks for your opinion Jane and it is interesting. When I read Faustina's diary, I had a different take. I believe the door of His mercy is open at this very moment, and part of that mercy is the tremendous amount of graces available to us for conversion, as we are being called back to God by His mother. Part of that mercy is Jesus sending His mother to us to call us to conversion and the grace to do so. By accepting the grace of conversion, we have chosen the door of His mercy. The final act of God's mercy before final judgement will be the illumination of conscience. It will be a scary event for some, but actually the most merciful act by God, for it will be the only way to wake up the world before God's judgement. If you close your heart to God after the illumination, and refuse the grace for conversion that will be showered upon you after the illumination...then you will walk through the door of judgement...when Jesus will separate the sheep from the goats...and we will all be judged...I don't doubt that at all...I just hope I land in the sheep pile :)

    That's my opinion anyway...

    Potatosack and Jane,
your posts above perfectly illustrate why i wrote the book! Potato sack I am with you on the interpretation. The 1000 years refers almost certainly to the time between the first and second comings of Jesus (as taught by St Augustine). The true era of peace of which mistakenly is meant to be within history, will come after the final judgment when Jesus will make all things new.
I dont accept though that St Faustina prophesied an illumination for all humanity, it was a personal experience for herself. I do agree though that its the door of mercy now. Also the revelations to st Faustin make no reference to an era of peace-in fact She told Blessed Michael Sopocko days before her death that the message of Divine Mercy needed to be spread a quickly as possible because "not long from now the world will no longer exist" (As recorded in Blessed Sopocko's own diary)

    Stephen, I'm fascinated.
Also, I believe you are, perhaps, an hour away from me. I'm in West Berks in the North Downs parish. I did ask our priest (Canon) if he was aware of your book and he rather apologetically told me he wasn't.

I have a Nook. It's not available from Barnes and Noble yet. Any idea when?
Or do I simply overcome my antagonism towards Amazon and buy the book from them?
