I am posting this with respect to Padraig and his moderators and to the members of this forum so that it is crystal clear my reasons for moving on and I did not want to go without saying thank you and goodbye. I have only been on the forum a very short while and found this forum by accident,I had fallen from my God and was walking alone for such a long time but a spark was lit by Pope Benedict ("sometimes it felt like God was asleep" ) and my fire was lit once more.I have found some beautiful stories, people and direction from this forum but I have been uneasy over the past month with somethings,The forum is very addictive and being a husband and a very busy father of six ,using the forum has caused me from time to time to be unattentive towards my daily duties and has caused a little discord within my vocation, As I am sure you all would agree that this is wrong,Taking this as the biggest factor for saying goodbye I hope you all understand..Please continue to pray for me so that I will strengthen my faith back to what it was, I wait eagerly for the day when Christ and his heavenly Mother become victorious.God Bless
Quis ut Deus, Thank you for being part of the forum family. I fully understand where your coming from as far time management and I applaud you for recognizing it early on. You will be in my prayers for strengthening you during you journey in faith. God bless! Matt
I second heyshepherd! A true husband and father is one who keeps his priorities straight. God bless you and your family, John. May Mary cover you all with her mantle of love and protection! Safe in the Father's Arms!
Good bye, dear friend, I have enjoyed and I thank you for your posts! I, too hope you drop in from time to time, but I know exactly what you mean about too much time spent on forums, trying to cut down myself. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. May St. Terese always watch over you and your family. View attachment 1052 View attachment 1053
Hey John, I'm sorry to see you go but I can understand why. I think this forum is so active because there is so much happening right now and events are accelerating. I find a lot of solace by being a part of this forum. Its a reminder that I am not alone in being concerned about the way things are going. I hope you find peace!
I learned a lot from your postings and understand your reasoning--Enjoy and teach your family as they are priority. I will keep you in my prayers.
I too will miss you John and I too understand your reasons for leaving. I agree with Thomas, as the forum is in a busy state now with events happening before our very eyes. Hope you do drop by every now and then.
I try to Rory .. the story you read "the mountain of life" I know the story was true because I was the father and the boy and girl are my children they are now 19 and 18 and walk in their faith.. Thank you all so so much I too will pray for all of you....
John, I know the responsibilities of the family as a father of 11. This forum for me has provided me many occasions to learn and share with my family things of the faith that I would not have otherwise beeen able to do. Visit only when you have a few minutes to do so, but if it brings you any good then hang in there. I know of no other fourm that brings the charachter that this one does. Hope you reconsider. We need some outlet of Catholic news around the world that you can fine no where else in this capacity. Peace brother.
I reposted your story and I am eternally grateful for it. Don't forget my family in prayer also as I will yours.
Sorry to see you are leaving John! I understand the commitment to family, and sounds like your plate is pretty full. Hope you can still post and just try to curb your addiction to the forum
I will miss your positive imput on this forum.. Family has to come 1st,..but don't forget your spiritual brothers and sisters from time to time. Everything in moderation. God Bless
