Sorry to hear this grimisocks, I pray that this incident will blow over. The workplace is getting scary, you pretty much have to walk on eggshells just to keep your job.
Prayers for you Grimsocks. Isn't it amazing that 8 years of exemplary service suddenly take a back seat to virtue signalling? It is the only thing corporations care about these days after the bottom line of course. Now, if you were at the executive level there would be literally no end to the amount of debauchery you could get away with and not even get a sideways look. I managed the IT systems from email to security cameras for the HQ of a billion dollar company and was pulled into investigations of sordid allegations many times which were proven with physical evidence. Not once did they even merit a sternly worded letter in the HR file. The only time an executive was ever held accountable for his actions was at a company Christmas party of all things but it was witnessed by so many people they had no choice but to tank him before it made it into the papers and sank the company stock. He received checks twice a year totaling over a million dollars for several years as his punishment.
Got a phone call from my manager today. She said a note will be left on my file and no further disciplinary action will be taken but I need to reflect on how my comments had an effect on the staff team. Lesson learnt, no more talk on contentious subjects from me. Thank you all for your kind prayers and comments. Praise the LORD!!
Oh thanks be to dear God and His holy Guardian Angels who most certainly moved the heart of your supervisor to take a charitable view of the unfortunate incident that brought you to such a crisis. Praise God for the beautiful gift of Charity. Dear God, please bless all our holy Guardian Angels for their stellar work in pouring oil on troubled waters for us in our daily lives, especially dear Lord please bless the Angels at Grimsocks workplace, as well as grimsocks Guardian Angel. And may Your Holy Name sweet Lord always be praised, blessed, thanked and glorified in all, for all, and in spite of all, for ever and ever. Amen.
So glad to hear that Andy, keep up the good work. It probably had a lot to do with your manager's decision.
Yes praise the Lord and gratitude to Our Lady. My father used to say "they can't hang you for what you didn't say". I always remembered that.
If you suffered for doing the right thing, just remember....God was watching and your reward will be in eternity. Bless you.
Thank God and His Blessed Mother for more good news and answered prayers!! Nothing is ever wasted when we learn from it. I love when walking the dogs to pay particular attention to my thoughts and keep them as far as I can to move them towards God and the things of God. To make it a more intense time of prayer. I noticed as I did so how often they were turning to a stupid irritating incident at work during the week when someone reported me to the boss for something . I kept praying for the lady who reported me. But my thoughts kept going back. I suspect this is the devil trying to get us to focus on the negative. If we were not paying attention ot our prayer time we would not be aware with what the demons are up to. The devil really does exist and uses our imagination and memories to stir things up. I was talking to a Trade Union Official at work during the week. He was telling me how bad the atmosphere has gotten there. He says people are constantly going to the bosses and reporting people. It has gotten so bad that people are actually listening into other peoples private conversations to find things they can report. Thank goodness I am on the Night Shift. I hear of rows were groups of people and individuals are standing shouting at each other at the top of their voices and even coming close to physical violence. Awful. Coming home last night I stopped to cross a busy main road at a pedestrian crossing light. When I was sure the lights were red I began crossing. I noticed the most beautiful silver top of the range silver Mercedes had stopped beside me. Suddenly a car came from behind it and accelerated at high speed through the red light missing me by inches. The driver of the silver Merc blew his horn angrily and sped off at high speed chasing the car that had nearly hit me. I hope he caught up with them. Strange time. Strange, strange times.
One thing I do worry about at work is that if I am keeping myself to myself so very much then how am I spreading the Good News of the Gospel? Am I not being selfish by refusing to take risks. On the other hand it was Jesus Himself who warned us about casting our pearls before swine. Something Pope Benedict said years ago cheers me up and gives me confidence. He said that the main way we share the Gospel is our own joy. The greatest sermon we can preach is that people see us happy and at peace. This is so rare these days I think it does preach loudly to those around us. Joy to the World.
Be happy and joyful. It is a sign of contradiciton in our present depressing era. Aim to get reported by someone at work for being too happy ! I dare you
The closest I ever got to this was when someone at work thought I was drunk because I kept laughing so much all the time. Which reminds me of the Apostles and Pentecost when they were accused of being drunk too. Acts 2:13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine."
