I have been to Medjugorje three times. Amazing experiences. I really think Medjugorje is the one place on earth where the veil between this world and the next is the thinnest. I believe after the triumph, years from now, the entire world will become Medjugorje. Here’s hoping.
While I know there is controversy about this apparition and this community, I still thought it was good to post this news. I certainly don't want to offend anyone, so please ignore if this is something you do not support. But for others who perhaps can never get to Medjugorje, this is a chance to be present during an apparition. I had a beautiful week. One thing stood out to me, there was not sight of any of the visionaries. Usually one gets a talk from at least one of the visionaries. Also Ivan usually has a prayer meeting at the Blue Cross or Apparitions Hill. There was nothing. I had friends there the week before and the same, no show. Maybe they are just waiting now for the announcement of the first secret.
Hi Maryrose. That is interesting development. I may not have been clear enough in my post above, but the Medjugorje visionary, Marija will be in Alabama July 1-5 this year visiting the community in Caritas. As you may know, she is one of the few remaining visionaries that has a daily apparition. So this will be occurring in just a few weeks. I have been there before when she was there and it's a beautiful time. She usually gives a talk or two. Peace
Might take a trounce down to Alabama to welcome our Lady to America seeing how I could never afford to go abroad. I'll probably just camp at a nearby campground and drive to the apparition. My deceased Dad went a time back and witnessed the miracle of the sun...I still have his written testimony of the events.
today it has been 42 years since the Blessed Virgin first appeared to a couple of the visionaries of Medjugorje. Tomorrow is the official anniversary of the Queen of Peace apparitions. Ana Shawl, leader of the International Internet Prayer Group (IIPG) sent us this note about the message Our Lady gave to Ivan D., one of the visionaries during the gathering of his prayer group. Last night at 10:00 pm Our Lady appeared to Ivan on apparition hill for his prayer group. I translated the message that was recorded last night. I’ll write more later but wanted to send this out to you now. Our lady came happy and Joyful. Especially happy and greeted us with her motherly greeting of praised be Jesus my dear children. She prayed over us with outstretched arms in her Aramaic language. Then she prayed especially over all the sick that were present tonight. For a longer time she especially was praying for peace in the world. Then she said: Dear children. Today again I want to call you to peace. I presented myself as the queen of peace, And I call you to be my carriers of peace throughout this world. Carry peace. Pray for peace, pray for my plans that I wish to be realized. I want to repeat that my Son has allowed me to be with you this long because I wish to teach you, to raise you and guide you to Him that in Him you find real and true peace. Thank you and today for having responded to my call.
