This morning, on May 2, 2012, Our Lady appeared to the visionary Mirjana Soldo in front of the Blue Cross at the base of Apparition Hill. After the apparition, Mirjana reported that Our Lady gave the following message: "Dear children! With motherly love I implore you to give me your hands, permit me to lead you. I, as a mother, desire to save you from restlessness, despair and eternal exile. My Son, by His death on the Cross, showed how much He loves you; He sacrificed Himself for your sake and the sake of your sins. Do not keep rejecting His sacrifice and do not keep renewing His sufferings with your sins. Do not keep shutting the doors of Heaven to yourselves. My children, do not waste time. Nothing is more important than unity in my Son. I will help you because the Heavenly Father is sending me so that, together, we can show the way of grace and salvation to all those who do not know Him. Do not be hard hearted. Have confidence in me and adore my Son. My children, you can not be without the shepherds. May they be in your prayers every day. Thank you."
I have to confess that this message has cut me to the heart. It is as if our Lady has spoken to me personally. She points out the areas of deliberate sin in my life that wounds the heart of her Son. And then she points out the sins of omission warning us of how we waste precious time. I can share that I made a resolution for the month of May made on the 1st day of the month dedicated to our Lady - I offered our Lady one hour just before bedtime in the evening to read spiritual material or study the Bible/Catechism for the whole month in reparations for my sins and in reparation for the time I had wasted. I am just blown away by this message that has brought tears of repentance to my soul - I am literally dumfounded!
There is so much to meditate upon in this message from Our Lady! Foremost are the words of urgency: With motherly love I implore you...and...My children, do not waste time. There is no more time to simply consider, no more time for maybe. It is time to open our hearts completely, to fully respond to the messages of Our Lady. A litany of don'ts: Do not keep rejecting His sacrifice... do not keep renewing His sufferings with your sins...do not keep shutting the doors of Heaven to yourselves...Do not be hard hearted! Because: Nothing is more important than unity in my Son! How Mary wants us to respond: Give me your hands, permit me to lead you. She loves us so much and wants to spare us from hell, separation from God forever! Maybe it's Our Lady's Jewish roots, but I marvel at how she describes it: eternal exile... Lord, drench me, drench us all, in your Mercy!
