Apparently, there is no retiring whan you work for our Lady and her Son! And if you do a good job, you get to keep working right up to the last day! I know Father is hoping to go there again next year on one of Joyce Lightner's trips.

Maybe this is his secret, I know it was my grandmas's too, who lived to be 91.
    Wine...
Fr. Rookey likes to mix a little coca cola into his wine, as he says he has a sweet tooth!

Fr. Rookey and Miki Musa entertain us at the "CENACOLO"Community for boys and men in Medjugorje:

This was funny, when we got there, Father just went over and sat down and started playing "Camptown Races"! (you know - Doo dah, Doo dah). We were laughing and singing along. Then Miki picked up a guitar and they played Silent Noght, and Jingle Bells, and a couple of lively hymns (basically whatever Father Rookey thought of and started playing...). The other people there, not with our group, had no idea what was going on! It was funny. At the end, Miki stood up and said to them, "You have just been entertained by Father Peter Rookey from Chicago!".

    MIRACLE PRAYER from Fr. Rookey:
Lord Jesus, I come before you just as I am. I am sorry for my sins. I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In your name I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give you my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever. I invite you into my life, Jesus. I accept you as my Lord, God and Saviour. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul and spirit.

Come, Lord Jesus, cover me with your precious blood, and fill me with your Holy Spirit. I Love You, Lord Jesus. I Praise You, Jesus. I Thank You, Jesus. I shall follow you every day of my life. Amen.

Mary, my mother, Queen of Peace, St. Peregrine, the cancer saint, all you Angels and Saints, please help me. Amen.
