Yes I did miss them. I only went back a couple of pages on his account though, and almost everyone was only liking or talking directly to MC. I felt it was unfair to attack Padraig and say MC would "shame" him. I was asking him a simple honest question is all. MC attacked almost everything I said, and PW supported that, so I couldn't help but wonder about him and his purpose here. MC questioned all of our purpose here publicly several times just today! I'm sorry but I like Padraig and it is his forum. Anyone that attacks him so openly I have to wonder about.
Sorry Glenn I didn't see your post or was posting while you were. I'm on my Kindle and is very slow going and hard to type. Probably am spelling words wrong too...
Before this thread gets out of control, I would ask for the "personal " comments to cease now. If they don't, they will be deleted. If you have a comment to Padraig ,address it to him,thank you.
I did the right thing. I am only sorry I did not do it sooner. But live and learn I will be quicker of the mark the next time someone like her joins.Thank God to see the back of her.
I was a moderator on an angling website for over five years and believe me I fully understand what Padraig is talking about,the amount of rubbish that I had to delete before it got to the forum,the bitching that went on between members and combined with hacking attempts, spammers,fake users trying to promote porn etc nearly drove me insane,so as has been said don't criticize until you know the full picture..My own advice from experience would have been to delete the user if anyone wanted to know why I would answer them privately... As for people having a pop at each other ???? if you post a comment about someone publicly then expect that person to reply publicly so if it offends DON'T POST send a private message between yourselves so that the people on the forum don't have to be subjected to garbage...
Sometimes you have to call it as it is. I would not be able for a job as moderator.In this case I can just sit back and enjoy the spat sorry. As you say padraig, Id be on valium if I had to deal with it. Mary
It has a lot of good things too Mary, much more good than bad. Our Catholic brothers and sisters are very,very good and holy too.
I have to say I liked Mary's Child and will miss her input.. We are all on different levels on our spiritual journeys and it can be difficult to sometimes understand where another member is at.. or where they are coming from in their understanding of topics and life experience.. I see life as a learning curve and I must be willing to learn in order to grow.. Generally though I avoid topics which do not bring me peace..
