Prayers of strength, courage and endurance for all here. Do not doubt that we are disturbing the enemy and as we draw closer to the Divine Mercy of God we are making him rattled, because he knows who wins.
Wow you are a real poet. Very well written and a wonderful prayer. I will continue to pray for all on the forum. I also love to pray The St. Patrick Lorica every morning for protection!
People have got our Lady all wrong as sweetness only. No she is a real mother tough as nails and not afraid to scrub away the grease & dirt of sin she sees on her children.
Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”
Yes, exactly. The hard thing to come to grips with in this is that it is not up to us to convince someone one way or the other. Only the Grace of God and the workings of the Holy Spirit can move them. All we can do is pray for the grace to love them as He does and try to do our best to live faithfully under the banner of our Lord. Avoid evil and do good even to those who are our enemies. Let our actions speak to them and remain vigilant that we ourselves do not repay evil with evil. Proverbs 25 [21] If thy enemy be hungry, give him to eat: if he thirst, give him water to drink: [22] For thou shalt heap hot coals upon his head, and the Lord will reward thee. Romans 12 [16] Being of one mind one towards another. Not minding high things, but consenting to the humble. Be not wise in your own conceits. [17] To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of all men. [18] If it be possible, as much as is in you, have peace with all men. [19] Revenge not yourselves, my dearly beloved; but give place unto wrath, for it is written: Revenge is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. [20] But if thy enemy be hungry, give him to eat; if he thirst, give him to drink. For, doing this, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head. [21] Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil by good.
At Knock Shrine last Saturday, the feast of St Peter &Paul, I was amazed to see 13 bishops, archbishop's and retired Cardinal Present for 3pm Mass. The Papal Nuncio was also present. It transpired that the Cardinal and Bishops had been invited to Knock by Papal Nuncio to pray for Pope Francis. I now try and focus on praying for him and not get bogged down on the constant stream of shocking news coming from the Vatican. I'm very glad though for the few courageous cardinals who are challenging the confusion and for the watchmen who have alerted us
God also seems very far away from me, Garabandal. I feel I am being tested around Medjugorje for some reason. A place that I have aways loved and which brought me back to the Faith. I got back last Tuesday after being on pilgrimage for a week.
Have been praying (seemingly successfully) for the conversion of a couple of people in my life that are caught up in addiction and sinful habits and that they return to the Faith. Please God they will be released. This could explain attacks.
This could explain it. After hearing of Medjugotge in the 80's my father and mother began the Wednesday and Friday fasts praying for the conversion of my aunt (My father's sister) who was estranged from them for years and who had left the church as a child and had lived a worldly life. They had hardly begun their prayers and fasts when one night my father experienced a terrible demonic attack. He called on the Name of Jesus and the demon left and my mother sprinkled holy water everywhere but it shook them up. The enemy is trying some intimidation with you perhaps to get you to stop your prayers. Do you wear the brown scapular Sanctus? If you dont you should get invested and wear it. It really is amour. God bless!!!
There seems to be a counterfeit version of everything in this world. False love, false mercy, false compassion. There is even a counterfeit Holy Spirit that some people may know what I'm referring to; an Indian spirit of some sort which is becoming very pervasive through yoga and other false practices and all this new age and "chakra" nonsense. I feel I am being really being tested to discern between the true and the false .
Yes. Absolutely. We all are being tested on many levels. This is where I think clinging to Our Mother with the Rosary and scapular is essential. I am totally assured she will help us discern.
After I read your post , I thought how much that is holy has been taken from the Church, gradually. Thank you for this post.
Seagrace said: ↑ Since Friday, a sudden urge to say the Divine Mercy Conversion prayer. In St Faustina's Diary of a Soul, there is an entry where Jesus asks her to say that prayer 33 times. I recalled that and I said it as I was driving long distance on Friday. I thought that was that but after Mass, spending some quiet time at the back of the church, something tugged me towards the 33 again. Now, I'm feeling it once more. I had saved this from the Divine Mercy minutes from the Marians at the Divine mercy Shrine in Stockbridge: Novena for the Feast of Mercy Meditation: Make a novena for the Holy Father’s intention. It should consist of thirty-three acts; that is, repetition that many times of the short prayer — which I have taught you — to The Divine Mercy (Diary, 341). “O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You” (Diary, 309). [This request of the Lord was in the context of making the Feast of Mercy known (see Diary, 341).]
I absolutely think this is the reason for these attacks....I’m getting them for the same reason. They have spiritual value and that makes them tolerable.
Thanks ETA. There has certainly been a "re-entry" period, as you call it. The first time getting back from Medjugorje I had a sudden clearer view of the world around me and could see how the world is not all "rosey in the garden" as the Irish saying goes.
