After I read and sent the post by Mark Mallett, I got ready for bed. I was thinking heavily about what Mark said and some of the things that have been going on in my own life. I am going to share with you what the Holy Spirit is saying to my heart. All that Mark is saying he said on stage two years ago in Van Nuys , Calif. He had had a SMALL part of his Illumination of conscience there that morning and cried all day until he got on stage. His testimony shook all 800 people there to the core. The Holy Spirit is saying to my heart that : 1. This is truth. 2. We MUST be consecrated and LIVE the consecration. 3. The whispering in our ears of our sins, the sins of our families, our friends etc. will get louder and louder AND LOUDER IF WE DO NOT FORGIVE AND CONFESS! ITS ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU GO CRAZY! 4. We are going to have to have SO MUCH HUMILITY....SO MUCH! We haven't seen ANYTHING YET. THE vileness, the threats, the accusations and the intimidation is something we cannot imagine. 5. After watching the Movie on youtube-"the Reluctant Saint", I see what is expected and needed. Its an eye opener!!! 6.Rwanda showed us that even close neighbors and long time friends turned against each other. Those of other Religions opened their homes and helped those in need --putting their own life in danger. We must be those people. 7. Remember this: IN THE LIGHT OF ETERNITY, WHAT DOES IT MATTER??? WHAT does it matter if I am recognized for my efforts, my sanctity, my work, my beauty, my scholarship, my material items, my monetary gain here??? THAT I S GOD'S BUSINESS, NOT MINE. WHAT does it matter if I win the fight, stay in control of things, hold a grudge the longest, am far superior or was smarter or was right? Let the chips fall where they may...ask for forgiveness, give forgiveness and walk away. Someone once said, "Unforgiveness is like having a thorn in your foot but your not willing to take it out because you didn't put it there..." IT MAKES YOU A CRIPPLE. IT MAKES YOU HARDHEARTED, IT MAKES YOU SICK. AND SATAN WILL USE THAT TO KEEP YOU OUT OF HEAVEN...and whisper it in your ear..... God, please help us see, hear, speak what is important this time before Christmas! Help us keep our mouths shut unless we are praising you or forgiving someone or are saying kind words. Help us not be sarcastic, but keep our hearts light and our sense of humor about our faults and failings before us. LET US TRUST IN YOU AND YOUR MERCY AND DESIRE TO DO YOUR HOLY WILL ABOVE ALL THINGS... Now, I can go to bed...
MS7, Well versed, I needed to hear that...thank you! Answer to prayers, good food for thought, action is needed... I will take the thorns out regardless,whatever it is made of, it must come out! Forgiveness and walk away.
I have just read Mark Mallett's blog I agree with MS7 - WOW - it is a must read for the Church - for those who are awake.
My friend from Detroit called me tonight. She said she went to Mass on Sunday at the Annunciation Grotto where the Order of the Holy Cross is based. They are building a new center outside of Steubenville. Anyway, She said the Homily was so incredible that she was awestruck. Fr. Matthew Hincks gave a homily starting out like this: "I've got a question for all of you. Are you ready to be martyred? Well then, you better get ready. Because starting on Friday it was just the beginning. You can never say you weren't told. You can never say to God when you stand before him that you didn't know you were suppose to go to confession or receive the sacraments. Today is the day. You have been told...."
