No offense taken MMM. I am out of the picture on this. Since someone contacted Msgr. Esseff and that see absolutely credible, then lets not beat a dead horse. Have a bonfire with the messages!
Walk away. I'm thrilled to hear Fr. Ianuzzi's take on the messages, which is the same as Peter B.--and we should have listened to them and the many good souls on the forum warning us. I certainly pray for Msgr. Esseff and when I talk to him, I will try to find out more, but I am thankful for his dedication but I certainly wish he had come out earlier and disavowed the messages. Maybe he didn't realize how many people were following them. I still have great respect for the man. He travels all over the world ministering to seminarians and he is in his 80's.

 

So many events, dramatic events are occurring in the world that it would be so very easy for any of us to throw our hats in the ring and declare ourselves, Prophets.

For instance I could say that October will be a troubled month and no doubt it will be

 

If Monsignor Essef is out of the picture and her website is down the only very thin thread of credibility this lady had is shot.

She has done huge harm, people are throwing their hands up and refusing to believe any prophesy all.

Exactly what the devil would have wanted.

May God forgive her for this

all false prophesy has its roots in pride.

 

So let's see if I'm getting the game here.
LTTW are false because
- the consecration of Russia was done to Heaven's full satisfaction and Russia converted
- nothing significant happened over the time when Papa Francis was visiting the USA (and the Moons and Shemitah etc etc etc were at the cusp)
- The Chair of the Federal Reserve couldn't let us know that there was actually a collapse because she couldn't speak (literally)
- With all the world leaders in the USA over the week-end talking niceties, shaking hands and toasting with wine nobody would pay any attention to China's (only) aircraft carrier showing up at the Mediterranean and docking in Syria
- Russia has the permission of Obama to enter the fight in Syrian and everybody is happy that today they started hitting rebel targets in Syria (interestingly not ISIS targets though)
- Obama is contributing to Russia's plans in the region through a magnanimous treaty with Iran allowing them nuclear weapons
- Netanyahu came to talk to the American Congress early this year to say specifically that if Israel would feel seriously threatened they would not hesitate to strike preventive weapons (full force, that is nuclear) on their neighbors (basically Iran), but he has probably forgotten this because now he has a direct line with Russia sitting in their backyard and must not be feeling any significant threat
- Papa Francisco has upgraded his tone since Sunday in defense of the marriage, of objection of conscience, on calling the Mayor of Rome "Catholic only in name" (just to name some examples) but this is not a change in his speech, because he had planned to do so from before his trip to the USA.

There are a few more details but I will leave it here except for a few considerations:

When we have an idea in mind and we hear somebody talking, whatever the person means, we hear the words applying to our frame of mind, our idea. Example: Russia in Syria was ok because they were going to fight the rebels (in our mind this meant ISIS) even though they had THEIR OWN idea of those words.
Nevertheless there is no way that we might have taken the meaning of the LTTW for the last few days wrong.

Our good Charlie Johnston who is so open and outspoken about his conversations with his Angel, some times feels the need to step in here in MOG and clarify what he said or didn't say, what he meant or didn't mean; and is humble enough to acknowledge that at times he has been reprimanded by his Angel because he just GOT IT WRONG and later on stood corrected.
But again that can never apply to the LTTW.

I have to say in all honesty that to me there are like two voices in LTTW. One of them has done me MUCH GOOD. I pray daily some of the little prayer gems dropped by that Voice and I'm certain that it comes from Heaven (see one of them below).
There is another voice in them that is different. It doesn't come from Heaven because it's too much of a bluff. It doesn't give you hope or peace but frustration.

Discernment is difficult. Yes. And it means dealing with a whole spectrum of greys not with black or white. It will never be easy discernment around real time prophecy. Not even for respected experts like Msgr Esseff and Fr. Iannuzzi (experts that speak on their own stance, they are not the voice of the Church so far although they certainly know their business). If it were easy the discernment of prophecy even for doctors in mystical theology we would have many more official decisions on the hundreds of contemporary alleged prophetic occurrences.

I'm grateful for the recent warnings and for the inspiration that I've gathered in the past from LTTW. I think that this quote from Papa Urbano VIII on private revelation sums it up well:

"As for private revelations, it is better for you to believe than not to believe in them, because if you believe, and they turn out to be true, you will be happy that you believed because our Holy Mother requested it; and if found to be false, you receive all the blessings as if they were true, because you thought were true" (Pope Urban VIII, 1623-1644).​

So if we were paying attention ONLY to the political messages and not to the spiritual ones, we were certainly wasting our time and is time to cross LTTW as false and negative. But if we have benefited from them, even if they came from a hot intuition or imagination -we may have been blessed abundantly by them.

I'm grateful to the voices of peaceful good sense that finally have redirected this thread, at least to certain extent. I don't think that we can easily close this chapter because there is much in stake. What I think is that this occurrence that we have been discussing here is again another deep testing for each one of us, and a little training exercise for what is coming to the Church -I think- in a big scale.

I would close this long post with two prayerful invocations to Mary, the Woman Clothed With The Sun:

O Blessed Virgin, Mother of the Savior! Scatter the forces of evil so that they are not engrossed in darkness but can come to light!​

And also:

O Mary, in Your Immaculate Heart are stored all the Graces of Divine Union. If you place them in my heart I will always do God's Will.​

Marty, this question is probably difficult to answer for many reasons, however, did you have a sense that Monsignor Esseff's level of "non-promotion" of the Locutions now, is in keeping with his level of "non-promotion" since the beginning? Or, did he communicate to you, in some way, that his "non-promotion" of the Locutions had increased somewhere along the line?

By the way, the reason I continue to inquire about the Locutions is not out of spiritual desperation. I'm quite satisfied and grateful for everything the Church provides me spiritually. Although there is certainly a spiritual aspect to my interest in LTTW, and I did see fruit from them, I also have a very practical reason for continuing to discern them, something that affects not just me but many others. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

. And may God forgive everyone that persistently followed her. God warned to follow him and not base your life on every claimed prophet. Once this prophet is forgotten chasers will find and follow the hundreds of other claims that are out there. Who's fault is that Gods the prophet claimer or the chasers. And when the next prophet you follow is wrong you will disappointed and angry with them. The best advice is to stop chasing and follow god and his church

LLTW is true. LLTW is false.

Should it make any real difference to us either way? What would we do differently if we knew them to be true? Should we not be doing that already because we all can see the state of the world around us and where it is heading.
We have all we need for our salvation, prayer, fasting, reading scripture, the sacraments etc. These are no good to us though if we don't have faith and trust and love. But if we do have them we don't need anything else.

To quote from De Montfort's, "Preparation for Total Consecration." p.18. .... " When a certain anxious person, who oftentimes wavered between hope and fear.... threw himself before one of the alters in the church and said, 'Oh, if I only knew how to persevere,' that very instant he heard within him, this heavenly answer: 'And if thou didst know this, what would thou do? Do now what you would do, and thou shall be perfectly secure.' And being immediately being consoled and comforted, he committed himself to the Divine Will, and his anxious thoughts ceased. He no longer wished for curious things; searching to find out what would happen... but studied rather to learn what was the acceptable and perfect will of God for the beginning and perfection of every good work.'

No problem i just want people to know the danger of following prophets I am in a dangerous situation as I speak and I am being told by some priests that the adversy has come to me as the angel of light. I am a false prophet and paying a great price and to me it seems like it might cost my life and I have 3 kids to worry about

 

I've been thinking about why I'm reluctant to "close this chapter", and here's what came to me in prayer:

This was a winnowing for us. We need to take the strong emotions this experience provoked to the Lord and Blessed Mother in prayer. His sheep know His voice. We are all called to know His voice, for ourselves. Knowing His voice may be the difference between life or death, physically and spiritually, in the coming darkness. This time of relative peace is an incredible gift - let's not squander it by squabbling amoung ourselves, but seek intimacy with the Lord. Ask Him to teach us His voice, the voice of many waters, so we don't miss even one of His inspirations. There may not be time to discern, ponder, seek direction, etc. We must learn His voice so that we can be docile and obedient in every situation. (And the fast track to this is living in the Divine Will!)

Then he led me to the gate facing east, and there was the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east! His voice was like the roar of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory.

It doesn't sound like Monsignor Esseff gave you reason to believe he is more detached from the LTTW than he was from the beginning, as Earth to Angels described. When you first posted about your recent conversation with him, it gave me a reason to wonder about the credibility of LTTW, if indeed he pulled further away from them. However, you've clarified, that's not the casse.

Will give you and your children a decade on the Rosary tonight, Marty. I trust you know all those good things to do when under spiritual attack...the mass, the Rosary, Sacrament of Reconcilitation (very big), St. Michael the Archangel prayer (pray it over and over), Purgatory prayer (pray it over and over, amazing), St Benedict, the Rite, sacramentals, the crucifix (throughout your house), the bible (in your house, by your bed), priest blessing of your house, etc..
