Praying for everyone and for all requests posted here and on various threads ... God always answers our prayers according to His will.
Well, my Mother has now chosen to live again. Her humor has turned from one of depression to one of happiness. It is amazing what kind of a response the body has once the will to live is there. She had a fear of the future with all the bad stuff going on. So I started to make fun of it all. I said the worst they can do is haul you off in trains and take you to an internment camp. So once you're loaded up you make sure to make a mess of yourself everywhere and then tell them to clean it up. Start making fun of these guys calling them a bunch of tranny slaves. The worst they can do is hurt the body giving you an early exit. It's like the expression goes "don't threaten me with a good time". She began to laugh by the grace of God. Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. So I told my Mother that big things are happening, that God has kept us going this far and that we should just ride everything out. She agreed, she has a different perspective now. I also reminded her that as much as her cross sucks to go through, it is helping fill out some of the gaps in the world right now.
This reminds me of the Scriptural promise that the Holy Spirit will put the right words in your mouth when needed. Mark 13:11: "it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit [who will speak through you]". Mary of Good Counsel, pray for us, who have recourse to thee!
Thank you and everyone else for your prayers. My Mother is not out of the woods yet as she still either doesn't want to or can't eat. Either way I don't care, what I care about is that she wants to continue living for Christ. Keeping a clean spirit. If she goes it will be because God takes her. She should have died many many times over the last two years and never did.
Never a second too soon Never a second too late. Our God knows the number of feathers on a birds wings. Offering up Mass
Well, my Mother is eating. She ate a small bowl of watermelon with sea salt based on the doctor's recommendation. The doctor was surprised to see the shape my Mother was in, especially since the only thing other than water she was consuming was coca-cola. She was in very good shape, the nurse was shocked to see how well my Mother was, kept on repeating "milagro" to me. Thank you for all of your prayers that contributed to this.
Well, this morning my Mother drank a protein drink prescribed by the doctor. She also drank it all in 5 minutes thanks be to God. She also became immediately stronger afterwards. One step at a time, one moment at a time, one prayer at a time.
She still hasn't come out of the woods yet, as she is only drinking the one protein drink daily. But she doesn't seem to be losing weight and it does seem like she is picking up a bit of momentum. So my outlook is positive, but yeah it could go either way. What is kind of neat but hard is just absorbing it all without reacting with emotions like fear, anger, depression, frustration and such. I mean they come up, but I don't allow myself to engage in those kinds of thoughts. It's a really good time to practice turning my attention to Jesus in trust and faith that He has it all in His hands.
