Yes it reminds me of Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life! Isn't his very first rule to start by cleaning your room? And don't forget to make your bed after you get up! That in turn reminds me of what Jesus said to Luisa Picaretta: He told her in the morning to get dressed immediately. (Not to procrastinate in her night atire, I presume, which is a kind of sign of laziness setting in, a love of creature comforts!)
He May very well be doing this! I know in my dark nights this is what is being held before me ( all previous sins) and I say to God .... Yes I deserve this darkness, this pain, this suffering, however I long for your love, for your mercy. I long for you alone. Help me to make this longing sincere, complete and true . Amen
I love this forum. Where else would one get wonderful spiritual tips like this. Thanks for sharing this about Luisa.
I am in a very difficult place at the moment. Prayers if possible. Dont know why God is acting this way. Things seem to get very dark all of a sudden. I was doing well before, I used to go to medjugorje every year and had a desire to serve God but now all there is is darkness. I told God eleven years ago that I was willing to go through anything for Him but now I feel abandoned
Well, it seems He took you at your word ~ Rejoice!! And take Him at His word ~ "I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you." Jn 14:18 He will never abandon one whom He loves Sanctus ~ and He loves you very much ~
Sanctus Fr Chris Alar just posted last night a talk on The Dark Night of the Soul. I think listening to it on you tube would be immensely comforting. It is almost as if he is describing your situation. Maybe someone here can post the link. (I am tech challenged)
