Praying now, I wish I could do more. I found in the past reading the volumes of Padre Pio's spiritual writings a big help. He suffered so much and so constantly but just ploughed away step by bloody step. Yet in all this great,great suffering , great joy. His fellow Friars described him as the happiest man in the world. I read a lovely story about Padre Pio just this morning. An American man had a very sick daughter and was doing a pilgrimage to Europe. He had just visited Fatima were he prayed for his daughter. He visited Padre Pio whom he had never met before. But before he could ask Padre PIo that saint said that Our of Fatima had already heard his prayer and that his daughter would get better.
