It seems really imperative that we closely follow who is being appointed Cardinal, at least, and at least spread the word and try to stop notorious heretics, well-known abusers etc from becoming Princes of the Church. Recent Catholic Action has shown that this can work. If we neglect to do this today, we may suffer terribly for it 5 to 10 years from now. As Abp. Sheen has said, Laity too have a mission in the Church, i.e. to ensure Bishops are good Bishops, Religious are good Religious etc. And this is surely a way in which, as His Grace prophetically spoke it, laity could save the Church.
