And for info God does not do coincidence I have just found out that the planned day of prayer is also the feast day of Mary Help of Christians how can we fail with God on our side The Feast of Mary Help of Christians is celebrated on May 24. View attachment 7887 The tradition of this advocation goes back to 1571, when the whole of Christendom was saved by Mary Help of Christians when Catholics throughout Europe prayed the Rosary. The great battle of Lepanto occurred on October 7th 1571. For this reason this date has been chosen as the feast of the Holy Rosary. In 1573 Pope Pius V instituted the feast in thanksgiving for the decisive victory of Christianity over Islamism. Near the end of the 17th century, Emperor Leopold I of Austria took refuge in the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Pasau, when 200,000 Ottoman Turks besieged the capital city of Vienna, but a great victory occurred thanks to Mary Help of Christians: on September 8th, Feast of Our Lady's Birthday, plans were drawn for the battle. On September 12, Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, Vienna was finally freed through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. All Europe had joined with the Emperor crying out "Mary, Help!" and praying the Holy rosary. In 1809, Napoleon's men entered the Vatican, arrested Pius VII and brought him in chains to Grenoble, and eventually Fontainbleau. His imprisonment lasted five years. The Holy Father vowed to God that , if he were restored to the Roman See, he would institute a special feast in honor of Mary. Military reverses forced Napoleon to release the Pope, and on May 24th 1814, Pius VII returned in triumph to Rome. Twelve months later, the Pope decreed that the feast of Mary Help of Christians, be kept on the 24th of May. St. John Bosco (1815 - 1888) was a dynamic priest who founded the Salesian Order in the XIX century in Italy. His many prophetic dreams, beginning at age nine, guided his ministry and gave insights on future events. On May 14, 1862, Don Bosco dreamed about the battles the Church would face in the latter days. In his dream, the Pope of those days anchors the 'ship' of the Church between two pillars, one with a statue of Mary (Auxilium Christianorum or 'Help of Christians') and the other with a large Eucharistic Host St. John Bosco wrote about his congregation, the Salesians: "The principal objective is to promote veneration of the Blessed Sacrament and devotion to Mary Help of Christians. This title seems to please the august Queen of Heaven very much." The Salesian Sisters of St John Bosco or Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, are the sister order of the Salesians of Don Bosco. St. John Bosco, himself, on June 9 1868, dedicated to Our Lady Help of Christians, the mother church of his congregation at Turin (Italy). The Salesian Fathers and their Sisters have carried the devotion to their numerous establishments.
Mary Help of Christians is the name of our Parish Hope they will have a Mass that day so an indulgence will be in order!

Just spent the 3:00 hour before the Blessed Sacrament at our Adoration Chapel and offered it up for the people of Ireland that they make the right choice!
I just spent a couple of hours at the grotto in Melleray where Our Lady( allegedly ) appeared in 1984. Amazingly on this the eve of such an important day in Ireland I was the only soul there, had the place all to myself but at least there wasn't nobody at all..I had expected a small group of people to be praying but no, no one else but me. I was full of hope and consolation in my mini vigil, I feel we might just win the NO.
Jonah take heart. Our Lady called you to the grotto for intimate prsyer. How much grace it maybe brought some voter out there who didn't show up or who is dithering about how to vote. I have been praying all day on and off here in the USA and through Quis et Deus' link to their prayer vigil I got to pray the Rosary with them. I think this is a spiritual Lepanto. I think Our a Lady is with Ireland hearing their prayers and our prayers too. I found myself praying a strange prayer this afternoon. I asked Our Lord if I could offer all the suffering of the Irish people during their martyrdom under England long ago in the eternal Now of eternity for Ireland now. I had been asking my Irish ancestors to intercede and all their Guardian Angels and that prayer came to me. It brought me to tears.
Thank you so much for joining us, I am sure you agree there was just something very very special about the service, I also got reports of quite a few chapels around our island joined us and were in unison praise God..
And what a beautiful place to be my wife and I met there 28 years ago and our petitions were the same I wanted a good wife and she a good husband we celebrate 25 years of marriage this august and have seven wonderful children..Our Lady of Mt Melleray pray for for Ireland.
It was powerful! Truly. I stayed through Mass and some of the vigil. I had such a sense of "the cloud of witnesses" unseen but very much there. You were not alone. Angels and saints and the holy souls in Purgatory were joining. It was palpable.
Wow not even close... so sad https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...ht-amendment-exit-poll-yes-vote-a8370006.html
Truly there is only a remnant left in Ireland. Contraception 1980 Homosexuality 1993 Divorce 1996 SS 'marriage' 2015 Abortion 2018
How can these pro-abortion women be so happy and giddy about a right to kill babies in the womb and diabolically suggest it is for health care? I know they are late in allowing this compared to other countries, but most other countries are not Catholic. Where is our pope on this issue in Ireland? Silent? God will not be mocked. He is taking names!
