Dean, the baby is indeed another gorgeous blessing, like all the others before her. This is such a precious time, yet I see there are other pressing concerns too. I am on the Holy Tears rosary this month, and I will press you and your family, each and every baby, into the Miraculous tears of the Holy Mother.
Shae and Dean I think sometimes Satan targets with special malice the children of those of us who have remained faithful and vigilant. I have seen it over and over. It is a double whammy. Your faith is sorely tested and your child too must go through the fire. Unbearable except for God's grace. If it is any consolation I was a rebellious deceptive teenager who disobeyed my parents at every turn. I went to some dark places but my mother's prayers (and untold souls in purgatory and heaven) and my Guardian Angel kept me afloat and when I "came to myself" like the prodigal son I gave thanks on my knees for being saved from the pit. Prayer works! Keep trusting and loving and praying. God bless.

Yes Satan targets families who are trying to live the faith. I have been through similar crosses with my children. Clinging to my rosary beads through it all really did bring about the miracles of healing needed. I will pray especially for your family. Cling to Our lady. I agree AED. My parents are very good Catholics and have always kept the faith, but our family came under attack. Initially I thought that it was generational punishment of sin or something, but having read your post it seems more like an attack by the evil one because of my parents strong faith. Thank God it seems to be getting better now and hopefully we can help the rest of the family by an example of the faith and through prayers.
