The girls felt remorse for stealing the apples. Conchita said to the girls - "What a shame. Now that we have stolen apples that did not belong to us, the devil will be happy and our poor guardian angel will be sad."

With regard to walking backwards that was paying tribute to the Blessed Sacrament - they walked out of the chapel backwards so as to not turn their backs on our blessed Lord. While they were doing this they carried their rosaries and crucifixes.

Padre Pio actually left some of his personal belongings to Conchita after his death. He left her with his rosary, one of the 3 veils that covered his face after his commemoration, and one of his bloody gloves.

Thank you for your comment. I am very grateful for your kind and constructive input.

I wanted to clarify: I am not passing any judgement on the Garabandal girls - in fact, I have the impression they are good-hearted people, perhaps mislead by an apparition that is not from heaven.

The apparition itself, I cannot judge it either. However, I am staying away from it and its messages because I am not convinced it is from heaven. This is especially true since the death of Joey Lomangino in 2014, who was supposed to have his eyesight restored, but this never happened.

The prophecy around the "Warning" sounds similar to the Three Days of Darkness (e.g., Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, Elisabeth Canori-Mora, Marie-Julie Jahenny, Elena Aiello, etc.). I believe in the prophecy of the Three Days of Darkness, as it comes from many different visionaries who have been declared Blessed by the Holy Catholic Church. Potentially, the "Warning" and the Three Days of Darkness are one and the same. Then, there would be no reason not to believe in Garabandal, so the entire Garabandal question may not really be any issue.

Here, I was just responding to a question - how the Garabandal-prophecy around World War III ties in with other Catholic prophecy on this matter. If the Garabandal-prophecy really said there will be no World War III, this seems to contradict Blessed Sr. Elena Aiello, Marie-Julie Jahenny, etc., who said that Russia with her armies will invade Western Europe.

My main worry is that good-hearted people get caught in endless waiting for the "Warning" and date-guessing. This makes me sad. It is one of the reasons why I think Garabandal could be a trap from below.

I recently came across a letter that St. Padre Pio had written to the girls of Garabandal. When I looked for this letter in 2016 to revisit my view on Garabandal after Joey Lomangino's death, I was told that the letter had been lost. However, it resurfaced on the internet around 2018 or so. If authentic, the letter by Padre Pio confirms to the girls of Garabandal that their apparitions are from heaven, as Padre Pio stated the Mother of God herself told him so.

In case Garabandal is a true apparition from the Holy Mother of God, then, when the "Warning" does occur, I will be happily corrected regarding my skepticism. I would be very joyous about this, as the "Warning" and the miracle that has been promised will convert millions of people instantly. In fact, I will try to rush to Garabandal to seek healing, if I can still get tickets in a moment where millions want to travel there. :)

    God bless!

For what it's worth I think Bibi Netanayu is a very, very clever and experienced political operator. Maybe just about the best there is out there. He likes to know all the cards on the table before he operates. In this case he knows the attack on Gaza is pretty well insane. But what can he do? His own ministers are largely composed of far right religious bigots who are convinced that Yahweh has given them Gaza and the West Bank as their own religious heritage. The exact same kind of folks who Crucified Jesus.

He knows its crazy, but what can he do? His own political allies and sentiment for vengeance in Israel are all against him. It would be political suicide to say no. He's in between a rock and a hard place.

So what can he do? He has to place all his chips on a hand he does not himself believe in. So he has to go with the flow and hope against hope he's playing a winning hand against the odds. That's why he was so hesitant to order the crazy Gaza slaughter. He knew it would probably be a bad hand to play.

But he, the master political manipulator, was left with just no choice. He has to go with the flow. He doesn't believe in the hand he's playing, the Gaza massacre, but has to play it.

It all reminds me of a Stephen King novel;.

Man proposes and God disposes. You can't win poker with God.

By the way I was reading just today about a Palestinian gentleman who lose 11 of his family when an Israeli jet blew them all up .

So far the Israelis have dropped more explosives on Gaza that were dropped on Hiroshima in the atomic bombing.

But that's alright, they are, 'Defending themselves'. At least 8,525 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks since October 7. That's seven Palestinians for every Israeli dead and no sign of them stopping the slaughter.

In 1977, Protocol I was adopted as an amendment to the Geneva Conventions, prohibiting the deliberate or indiscriminate attack of civilians and civilian objects, even if the area contained military objectives, and the attacking force must take precautions and steps to spare the lives of civilians and civilian objects ...

Israel ratified the Geneva Conventions on July 6, 1951.

If what you say about Netanyahu is true, he seems like a modern-day Pontius Pilate.

I have also read that the Israeli military are more 'gung-ho' for war and slaughter than even the politicians. It used to be the other way around, with the military very circumspect about going to war. There is an apocalyptic aspect about the whole series of events, but then, Megido is only up the road.

  15. Also for clarification...Garabandal does not contradict
what "Blessed Sr. Elena Aiello, Marie-Julie Jahenny, etc., who said that Russia with her armies will invade Western Europe"....

In fact, Our Lady at Garabandal warns that Russia will indeed attack and over-run much of Europe.

It is not just St. Padre Pio who believed in the Garabandal apparitions. Many saints... St Mother Theresa, St. John Paul 11, come to mind. Along with other cannoized saints, Malachi Martin, Mother Angelica and so many others also expressed their belief.

Thank for this clarification, very helpful. If I hear you correctly, the Garabandal-prophecy says that Russia will attack and overrun much of Europe, but there will be no World War III. Is that not a contradiction?

The list of Garabandal-believers you posted above contains quite a few Popes and Prefects of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith including Pope Benedict, John Paul II, Paul VI, Cardinal Ottaviani. Is there any evidence these prelates believed in Garabandal? If so, why has Garabandal not been approved by the Holy Catholic Church? I do realise this is technically the responsibility of the local Bishop.

What does the dear forum make of the fate of Joey Lomangino? Was he not supposed to have his eye-sight restored? I remember, before 2014, I was 50/50 on Garabandal. At that time, the Garabandal-sphere believed he would physically regain his eye-sight before passing away. When he passed in 2014, Garabandal-believers fell silent for a few years, only to come back still believing in Garabandal, but with a changed narrative concerning Lomangino.

In any case, as indicated earlier, my faith does not depend on Garabandal. At this point, I am about 30/70 in terms of belief vs. skepticism in relation to Garabandal. I do believe in Fatima, Akita, La Salette etc., so I think I have a grasp of the prophecies regarding our times anyway.

This August/September, just when I was in Europe, "Pope Francis" was supposed to go to Moscow and meet Vladimir Putin at the airport. What happened to the papal trip to Moscow?

As the Garabandal-prophecy says calamities will break out in Europe when the Pope goes to Moscow, the entire Garabandal-sphere (and me, too) went nuts over Pope Francis going to Moscow. When his plans to visit Mongolia via Moscow emerged, I had already booked my tickets to Europe, including for my two older kids. So I got a bit worried. I went to Europe anyway, visited my family in Germany, as well as doing a little pilgrimage to Merazhofen (Pater Augustinus Hieber's grave in Germany), St. Pelagiberg (Black Madonna in Switzerland), La Salette, Lourdes, Pellevoisin (Our Lady's apparition sites in France). I had an inkling to include Garabandal, but I did not want to push things, as our trip was already almost 5,000 km, and my mom surprisingly came along but she had spine problems and was not supposed to be in a car for too long. Perhaps I should go to Garabandal one day, to see for myself?

Sorry, I realise, this is perhaps the wrong thread. Dear moderators, please feel free to remove my posts from here.

I am a bit of a prophecy and apparitions-buff. Garabandal is the one that I cannot quite come to a landing on, certainly fascinating!

    God bless!

  19. I will try...

An attack by Russia does not nessesary mean WW3, especially if God wants to overcome the attack by His own intervention (The Warning).

As to the evidence that each of the names on the list had a personal belief in Garabandal...search the Garabandal thread for each of their names, some were more explicit in their belief, and Popes in particular have to be careful not to "endorse" yet to be approved apparitions.

As to Joey...The authenticity of the apparitions do not hinge on his testimony alone. Also, the Catholic Church teaches us that all prophecy is conditional...our prayers effect the future. The destruction of Nineveh was not a false prophecy even though God did not in the end destroy the city. I believe some think that Joey offered (as a sacrifice) his promised sight restoration, I have no idea if this is true. But we must be cognisant that the Church herself councils (along with St. John of the Cross) that any spiritual communication between heaven and men can be misinterpreted, heard incorrectly, altered with prayer etc. And St. John also councils that this is especially true of the small details.

No one's faith should depend on ANY private revelation. Nor are we required to believe in any such revelation including Lourdes and Fatima. The Church never rules that they must be believed, only that they are "worthy of belief" ... And every Catholic has a duty to accept the Church's final ruling on any apparitions.

I don't think that Putin ever indicated that he would approve of the Pope landing in Russia.

As you can see from the above it has a long tangled history.

My own take on it would be this. If we look at the Old Testament we see that whenever the Holy Spirit tried to direct and guide the Hebrews Satan raised resistance against this and tired to have the Prophets rejected and killed. Jesus Himself spoke of this process, this dynamic:

    Matthew 23:30

And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’

The Prophet Jeremiah was a good example of this. The tried to kill him, beat him up, threw him in Prison, Satan raised up false Prophets and Prophesies to prove him wrong.

In the New Testament this action of Satan is shown best in the life and death of Jesus. Note that the prime opposition to Jesus came from the Religious authorities of the time, a pattern we see translated in modern times when Mary, Queen of Prophets is similarly persecuted by religious authorities in the Church.

In the Acts of the Apostles we see the religious Powers moving against the first Christians in Jerusalem murdering, beating and imprisoning them. They pursue and act against Paul in many places he tries to preach, through the instigation of Satan.

All the Apostles , with the exception of St John were killed by this Satanic action.
