I just read in the Croatian (conservative) media that military chaplain Paul Murphy was attacked in Ireland by a 16-year-old whose identity they are hiding. He ended up in the hospital with serious injuries, although his life is out of danger. The goal was obviously to distance people first from God and religion, and then through decadence to destroy society with migration and dumbing down through the media and education. Now people in the west are in a stalemate. If they revolt like in England, the government, with the help of the media, declares every protest as extremist "right-wing" fascist that should be suppressed, the protesters should be imprisoned. To be used to strengthen the powers of the state... If the country descends into chaos because of the crime and corruption they support, they will again use the decline in security to introduce control and a police state. Literally in a position of power, you can count honorable, moral and honest people on the fingers of one hand. Like in the time of Sodom and Gomorrah... Times are not as hard as they used to be in the physical sense for the body, but they are very hard mentally and morally, because every pillar of the law, natural and moral, tends to be distorted where people lose their guide to what is right and what is not... May God grant Chaplain Murphy health and peace, and above all a pure heart and strong faith.
We are surrounded on every side. Our government has become our enemy. Only God can save us now. I cannot look at our politicians without feeling disgust and anger. It's heartbreaking and worst of all the total silence from our church. Politicians have ushered in liberal abortion and go to church and call themselves catholics.
https://www.knockshrine.ie/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Prayer-to-Our-Lady-of-Knock.pdf Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland, you gave hope to our people in a time of distress and comforted them in sorrow. You have inspired countless pilgrims to pray with confidence to your divine Son, remembering His promise: "Ask and you shall receive, Seek and you shall find". Help me to remember that we are all pilgrims on the road to heaven. Fill me with love and concern for my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those who live with me. Comfort me when I am sick or lonely or depressed. Teach me how to take part ever more reverently in the holy Mass. Pray for me now, and at the hour of my death. Amen
Enoch Burke jailed for the third time. The man is made of steel. https://www.rte.ie/news/courts/2024/0902/1467958-enoch-burke/ If only Irish Catholics had the fire in their belly to oppose evil, Ireland wouldn't have fallen so quickly.
More about the abuse scandals in the Irish media today. They (Irish media)seem to keep revisiting these issues over and over again, for whatever reasons they have. Usually they use this strategy of Church-bashing as a smokescreen or to deflect the public's attention from some other important issue or also if the government are trying to push something through on the quiet.
I think the narrative is founded on naked hatred for the Catholic Church, little else. Take a look at the headline about victim Gerard Murray in today's 'Journal'. The headline implies the exact opposite of what Mr Murray intended to mean. Mr Murray said that a state enquiry that only included the Church would only be half an enquiry, effectively letting off the hook medical, and other, abusers like Michael Shine. The Irish Government have their eye on Church property, just like Henry VIII, which they can expropriate to buy votes. This is not to exonerate those churchmen deserving of a millstone round their necks, but all child abusers (predominantly sodomisers, but this is very underplayed) should receive the same treatment.
I listen to homilies at a lot of funerals. They nearly all go into details on a person's life. For instance in one recently I heard that the gentleman had built a local factory and that his wife had died years previously and about how much they loved living by the sea I suddenly thought to myself, what does any of this really matter? All the family and the people attending would have known all this anyway. What has any of this to do with his Faith or lack of it? A bit like a TV reporter. But the priests nearly all seem to do this for some reason. I don't remember when I last heard a call for prayer for the poor person's soul . It would be better to stick to the Spiritual. But I suppose if a priest were to suggest such a thing he might risk being lynched
One thing about funerals I have noticed down the years is how often they lead to rows and family break ups , especially where drink is involved. Why is this? I think if you have no Faith you have to substitute for it by finding a reason why the death happened. Many people find a reason by blaming other people
I am beginning to understand why so often a renewal of faith starts with the laity. I honestly don't mind a summary of a person's life at a funeral, as it can help ease the pain of the loss. But this seems to be the focus at the mass, not the soul of the deceased, or the souls of the family. It seems to be intertwined with an ignorance of faith and a kind of humanism. There is a big difference between intellectual learning and faith in Jesus. I genuinely believe revival is coming to Ireland and it is going to be huge. It wont matter if the establishment takes the churches and her properties. All Mightly and all Powerful Jesus is the Real Deal. Ireland is going to be on Fire for Jesus.
I really do hope so. That is what I was trying to articulate to myself. I couldn't have put it better. It was jaw dropping to listen to rte radio today discussing the coming tour of the relics of St. Bernadette Soubirous to Ireland and pilgrimage tourism in general. They had on a lecturer in tourism. He obviously believed to some extent because he said that "Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette". However, he went on to talk about, in a very nonchalant kind of way, "rock star" Saints like St. Bernadette. He said that a kind of a-la-carte Catholicism existed in Ireland, and that people may not go to Mass but they love their Saints. Sure isn't it great for tourism and all the like. Meanwhile 38 schools nationwide have been awarded for 'lgbtq+ inclusion'. The awarding party being of course Google. Some of the schools have been named after Our Lady. https://www.belongto.org/schools-across-ireland-awarded-for-lgbtq-inclusion/
I hope this wakes people up to the reality of the world we now live in. Outrage over 'anti-Irish' SPHE schoolbook - 'So offensive it's unreal'
Out of curiosity I checked up on Mass attendance in Ireland: https://www.americamagazine.org/faith/2024/02/15/catholic-identity-ireland-247328 Actually 27 per cent is pretty good for Europe (in the USA I believe it is 13 per cent). In my own experience travelling about Churches the daily Mass attendance is very good, sometimes very impressive. I would guess that it has been since COVID and WOKE culture came in things started to nose dive a lot more.
I remember years ago, in the Irish comedy 'The Commitments" (ah, innocent days), where one of the characters described the Irish as 'the blacks of Europe'. Given how we had been treated for centuries by the English, there was a lot of truth in it. Now, our traitor politicians, having sold us back into slavery with their ruinous surrender to the ECB, determinedly pursue membership of NATO in deferential alliance with our former oppressors, in total opposition to the views of most Irish people. Meanwhile, most Irish young people have little choice but to emigrate, while people mostly from cultures totally inimical to Christianity are dutifully and unpopularly brought in to replace them. This is an international strategy by satanic elites to destroy Christianity. To make the slightest criticism of any of this is to be deemed a 'right-wing extremist', or even a terrorist.
There are a couple verses in scripture which speak loudly for me in regards to all of this. Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. I genuinely believe we are going through the chastisement currently and unfortunately it seems that globally, the youth are primarily paying a heavy price for it. Especially in places like Gaza. It is also for this reason that I believe that the Holy Spirit is working very hard in the youth at this time. This is also one of the themes expressed by contemporary visionaries, the youth being deserving of their spiritual inheritance which they have been denied. The Irish in general also are a meek people IMO, both currently and historically. So on the one hand the establishments are coming down in a crushing way, but on the other revival is progressing by the Hand of God. As the veil comes off, the spiritual battle in our hearts and minds becomes more apparent. We are entering a time much like that of the early Christians, and as hard as it is, it will also renew the faith. We will have no choice but to live in the Spirit and walk by faith. IMO the Holy Spirit is preparing the way for exactly this and much more. The choicest of breads is made with fine flour.
The internet is a double-edged sword, but it is interesting to see the enormous protests that have emerged in Brazil against the censorship of 'X'. Bangladesh saw her government toppled in consequence of a ban on social media. Our young people have grown up with social media and do not know of a time when it did not exist. They have been handed a world that is offering them very little and seem very unwilling to have their access to social media denied. It would be a delicious irony if this medium which was launched by the elites in order to enforce social obedience and control should turn out to be the primary mode of resistance to their efforts.
