Persecution is so very,very close. I can nearly smell the prison doors opening for us. We are in the road because we tell the truth. Evryone knows now it is we Catholics who are the main barrier to this abomination. So the main barrier will become the main target. First to the prisons, then to the graveyards. Is it any wonder England is being flooded?
So true Padraig - part of me fears persecution but the brave part of me cannot wait to stand up for the truth in the court of righteousness.
I think this whole thing is strange. Apparently supporters of his party are leaving it in droves because of this legislation, it is very unpopular and gay 'marrriage' is very much a minority thing. Also it is being rushed through in an undemocratic way. So why is he doing this? I am convinced he is doing it because he has been ordered to do it. And who orders a British Prime Minister? The same evil people who control the entire world. THose who actively serve Satan.

Padraig, This is the issue, even in the USA! This coming year, the Supreme Court has agreed to take up the issue of same sex unions (I refuse to say the m word). Though virtually everyone says they will not impose it on all the states, we know what is the true issue and agenda. If same sex unions are backed by the courts, then the Obama administration will hold two aces in its game against the Church: the redefinition of both religious freedom and marriage. You are correct, Padraig, the Church is the thorn in their flesh, and they're moving in for the kill. Yes, this is a huge issue. And it seems right now that our children in public schools are the main target of this unholy agenda. I know it is said that the events will start happening when the world is at it's worst. Most people see this as the physical world and world peace...i.e. the warning can't happen until there are wars in Europe, etc. Well, I believe it could also mean the world being at its worst from a salvation point of view. With what children are taught and exposed to today (I'm thinking movies and video games), it put's their salvation in jeapardy at a very young age, and that is one of the ways that I think the world could be at it's worst. Regardless, this issue is a huge one and one we must stand our ground on! I'm sure it's on Obama's agenda as well. Now that he doesn't have to worry about re-election, he will push this and other issues that take away our religious freedom.
My husband left in 1998, and after having an apparition in which Jesus told me that my marriage was valid, and explained the covenant of marriage to me, and told me to love and serve my husband (despite his being gone) and to be open to reconcilliation with my husband. I have been alone since then, and since was only 34 years old when he left, I had to separate from many friends and social scenes that really pushed me to find a new man and "move on" as they put it. Even Catholics have become VERY angry with me when they ask why I am not dating or re-married and I explain to them the sacred covenant of marriage, and how Jesus expects us NOT to commit adultry in any way. The majority of people I meet and talk to on this subject, including most christians and Catholics, are all for divorce and re-marriage, and don't seem to think that adultry applies to them. My point is, I have already for many years been getting persecuted by family, friends, and strangers on my being faithful to God and my estranged husband, and this new push for Gay marriage is going to be easy....my goodness, even Catholics don't take marriage seriously anymore!! Marriage is nothing to this society. Why are we surprised about this? If all christians had lived and defended the covenant of marriage not only between a man and woman, but discouraged divorce at all costs, and held to only first marriages being valid as in the vows we take, then we probably would never have gotten to this horrific stage in society. Now it will be extremely hard to stop unless God intervenes. Just my humble opinion...
Carmel 333 - you are a wonderful witness to the sacrament of marriage - you are so correct that modern society has no understanding of the sacrament. They have no understanding of the law of God for they do not fear God. 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” All will be held to account - believer and unbeliever for the the law of the Lord is fixed - what God has joined man cannot separate. You have chosen the narrow path and the Lord will reward you for your faithfulness to His covenant word. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
