OMG....I loved this! Wish this guy could be at every abortion clinic.
I was almost arrested for just participating at a prayerful, peaceful picket of a abortion clinic...just for being there...doing nothing wrong but sidewalk counseling.

The abortionist opened his clinic doors and told us to leave...he said he had to do abortions to pay for medical malpractice insurance! Yes, that’s the kind of doctors that kill babies...

If we had this guy there, no one would have left!

God bless these courageous men defending life!

Yes, although I feel a little sorry for Protestants as they stand on an uncertain rock in , 'Sola Scriptura'. I watched this Pastor, who is a Baptist and a Presbyterian Minister talking to a Mormon about the Divinity of Christ and saying that he and the Presbyterian were united in the Gospel although they disagree over Baptism. Well how could they be , 'United in the Gospel', if they disagree over Baptism? I feel sorry for Protestants having to argue with each other all the time over these issues which should all be common ground.

That is the very sad thing about the Crisis in the Catholic Church where we end up arguing with each other all the time. So sad and wasteful of the little time we have on Earth.

The sad thing Padrig is that much of the devision in our church comes from within....Cardinal against Cardinal...bishop against bishop. Leaving the middle to choose sides. There shouldn’t be sides....there is truth and there is falsehood. If we call ourselves catholic...then we should be universal in what is our catholic doctrine and faith. If those who are dividing the flock haven’t yet literally changed catholic doctrine, they have muddied the waters enough to divide....pray these clerics do not conquer as well.

It feels as though only Christ can fix us now.

I think one of the most troubling things about all this is that the Church authorities see m to think that this disagreement between Catholics is a, 'Fruitful' thing , that somehow out of this, 'Ferment', we are moving forward in dialogue towards some wonderful and creative end point.

There appears to be an unstated understanding that everyone's viewpoint is equally valid no matter how diverse. That we are all, 'Good' people, saying things that we sincerely believe. That Truth is not objective but subjective. Thus the views of say Fr James Martin SJ on sexual perversion is equally as valid as my own and deserves to be heard on an equal basis.

Or in talking to say Lutheran Protestants that their view point and the Catholic viewpoint should be placed on the same standpoint of truth. That both are equally weighed, equally valid.

This of course is totally nuts and a recipe for chaos..

Instead of Standing on the Rock of Peter we are standing on a whirlpool that sucks us who knows where; who knows when?

..and this is that same difficulty for many Catholic Bishops and Cardinals. They believe that at one in the same time they can oppose Abortion but support Political Parties that vehemently support abortion.

    This is insane

Yes...it’s insane Padraig. There is no such thing as catholic...and pro abortion.....you simply can’t be both. Choose a side. Some clerics sit on the sidelines and remain silent or worse, show a public display of support for members of the party of death. Is it any wonder that Catholics feel as though they can follow their own truth...and not the faith...partly because they don’t even know what the truth is anymore.

If Cuomo can get away with this horrific crime against humanity without the penalty of excommunication from the CATHOLIC church, then the church is not church Militant...it is church silent. It then becomes complicit in this crime by virtue of its silence. Yes, we will hear moanings about how horrible this N.Y. law is from a few here and there. Cuomo will get his wrist slapped by a few. The big question is....will any bishop or Cardinal actually stand on church teaching and canon law to take the steps to actually excommunicate this Hitler styled governor in NY?

If they don’t, they will telegraph to the world that the church will look the other way when the very man who signed the death sentence for babies up to the moment of birth, can walk up to the communion rail in a Catholic Church...and receive HOLY communion. If they allow that...then anything goes....and everyone knows.

Increasingly, the Catholic Church is becoming a wing of the leftist liberals in the Democratic Party.
If you are faithful catholic, you are feeling as though you no longer have a church. You continue to attend because you want the sacraments...so you faithfully participate. The question then becomes....how much longer can real Catholics continue to suck it up before finding a way to a celebrate a legitimate mass . Are we going the way of the Chinese....looking to celebrate mass in the underground? Increasingly, it seems so to me.

How anyone can kiss one of these bishops/cardinals rings now is beyond me. God help those who stay silent in the epitome of the American holocost. Silence...in the face of the ultimate sin of abortion...is a sin of omission....or isn’t that a sin anymore either?

Someone asked me right out of the blue the other night if I thought that the murder of the unborn was the worst sin a person could do. I thought for a short time and said that it was. This being so the mass murder of the unborn must be the greatest horror in all human history.

If someone else were to ask me what the next worse sin was I would the abuse of children.

I have Scriptural backing on both of these for Jesus said that for those who commit such horrors it would be better if a mill stone were to be tied round their necks and they be thrown into the sea.

However if I were to ask our Present Holy Father and many , many Cardinals what the worst sin might be, I suppose they would come up with a different list.

    1 Global Warming

    2. Not making room for immigrants

    3. Social Injustice.

    4.. Homophobia.

    5. Thinking your own Faith is better or truer than anyone else's

    6. Being anti Feminist.

In other words the world view of the Vatican at the moment is just the same as any Liberal, Progressive, Socialist Party on the Planet.

They might not come out and say it in so many words. But...

So where does killing the unborn come on these people's list of wrongs? I would say it comes somewhere down on the bottom of the list alongside saving the Siberian purple billed duck (the duck being probably more important). Or to paraphrase Cardinal Cupich,

'We're not going to go down a rabbit hole on this!'

(Although Cupich would probably be the only one stupid and arrogant enough to give the game away by coming right out and saying it, bless him)

I agree...this is where we are now. The shepherds share the agenda of the political left today. The two recent examples of the innocent Covington diocese students being condemned by their own bishop without apology, and the horrific NY abortion law governor basically only getting his wrist slapped by a shamefully few bishops for signing the death warrants for untold numbers of innocent unborn babies. This is the catholic leadership? Cino...catholic in name only....and that’s being charitable. Our church, being led by wolves...with woefully few exceptions.

I Don;t blame the liberal Bishops as much as I do the silent, scared ones. At Least the Liberal one shave the courage of their convictions.

    Sigh.

My mother used to tale us scraey tales about the Bogey man who might come and get us. What was scaey about the Bogey Man was no one knew who he was and what he looked like. It was left to your imagination.

Reecently I am starting to imagine that the Bogey Man is dressed up as a Catholic Bishop.

Yes...every time I see one, I feel like he is the opposition now...attacking my beliefs and a shield for the enemy.
    I can’t help it....
This feeling is partly generated in fact by witnessing first hand the illegal, immoral, scandalous behavior of countless priest and bishops in my neck of the woods...for over 40 years...and counting. If I wrote a book, no one would believe it. Our dioceses is so corrupt that finding a descent church is very difficult. Many of the guilty priest are still active. You couple that with these national figures and it’s only the grace of God...literally...that I still have my faith. And I’ll die with my faith...regardless of what these bad clerics do. They are not the faith...they are trying to destroy it....but they’ll lose.

    Bishop Foys:
“We should not have allowed ourselves to be bullied and pressured into making a statement prematurely, and we take full responsibility for it.”

Thank goodness there was evidence to prove the boys innocence. I’m glad the bishop apologized....but who bullied and pressured him?

Fortunately the internet allows the truth to filter out. The faithful can now access information that in days past, we would never know...or if we did, we’d have no way to share on a large scale. The church is exposed today in ways that forces them to do the right thing...even if they’d rather not. Scandals cannot be hidden as they were in the past.
Hopefully this will curb the bad behavior by some who fear being outed. It’s a shame that they don’t do what’s right because it’s the right thing to do.
