If that is the same case, the family applied for asylum in the US, I do not know the outcome but this family clearly are being persecuted for their beliefs. There is no homeschoolingin Europe - the state grabs your kids almost from birth. And that is also the major dream and goal for American left, since it enables early government brainwash. How sad that Germany is once again exalting the State over the family, as in the days preceding WWII, though it is covered over with a veneer of democratic humanism! We in the US are not far behind, In the attempt to deport the German family insearch speaks of, the Obama Administration is using the following argument: The choice of parents to home school their children is not a human right since it is one type of schooling among multiple legitimate types. In other words, home schooling is a privilege granted by the government that can be rescinded at anytime. Therefore, it cannot be used to justify political assylum. Beware of an encroaching State, home-schoolers of America! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Germany always was putting the state above the individual, to the point that Germans are not CITIZENS, they are subjects to the state. as for obama administration - it is highly expected, since it is totally against their core beliefs that homeschooling should even be an option. so, gay marriage is a "right", and homeschooling is not, yeah?
They say this is all to do with rights of the individual. A school nurse brought a 13 year old to Hospital without the parent's consent or even their knowledge, it was to have an abortion. Yet, we have to sign a paper to say that our child is allowed paracetamol if needed in school. They say this is the child's rights. They are going on about human rights all the time (this is a lie and a guise to bring about evil.. we could end up like China though few are listening) what human rights? Our sick are being forced out to work (true sick) Our elderly aren't be cared for and are being forced to sell their homes to pay for care. Our children are taught sex education in schools (compulsary, yet again rights of parents are taken away, I didn't listen to that and kept mine off anyway) they are being taught that anything goes and that there are different ways etc.. How awful!!! What they are doing is taking away the rights of a parent so that they 'the state' own the child etc.. This is awful... We have so many false religions in the UK and the rest of the world now. Many of these cannot vote but their children will be able too. If this continues Christians will be outnumbered, as the average Christian has two children and others have an average of five.. We won't be able to turn to other Countries for help as they will be in the same position. The consequences of contraception and abortion. We will cry out for those aborted children.
it is sad. I hope this one will escape to the US as well - Germans do not need visas, they get 90-day tourist ones upon entry to the US and then the long process of asylum might be started - it does not matter, what obama admin thinks, once the process is started it takes a long time to finish it, and to deport in a meanwhile is not that easy as well - the immigration lawyers would not flourish without complicated and convoluted methods how to bypass even the deportation decision.
Here is An update on the Romeike family. Even if you don't home school, or you have reservations about home schooling, please pray that the underlying principle of parental rights be upheld by the court. On Tuesday, April 23, the United States Court of Appeals of the Sixth Circuit will hear the case of the Romeike family. Michael Farris, Chairman of HSLDA, will head up the legal team representing the Romeike family. Your prayers are now earnestly requested. Please pray that Mr. Farris and his team will be given the necessary wisdom to successfully argue the case for the Romeike's fundamental right to direct the education of their children. Please also pray that the judges hearing the case will be given the wisdom to understand the issue and to render the correct decision. While the outcome of this case will be initially limited to the Romeike family, it will set an important precedent and send a powerful message. The Obama administration is arguing that parents do not have a fundamental right (or human right in UNspeak) to direct the education of their children (i.e., homeschool); rather that some governments may simply allow parents to do so while other governments do not. In this case, Germany does not allow it. If it is not a fundamental right, then the Romeike's do not qualify for asylum in the US on grounds that their fundamental rights are being violated by Germany. If the court agrees with the Obama position, it will send a message that our right to homeschool our children is subject to the whim of the government rather than a fundamental right (which cannot be taken away by the government). And so, if the government currently allows it, it can also take it away. Please pray that God will have favor on our nation and on parents across this country by preserving our right to direct the education and upbringing of our children. Safe in the Father's Arms!
I know a Scottish family who have had a similar struggle in Austria, where they live with their six kids. They set up a website, www.primaryeducators.net along with a few other families in a similar struggle. It's important to have the support of other families who have been through this, there's power in numbers. On their website they outline a number of ways in which we can help them.
Federal court of appeals for six circuit is quite big. It depends on what justices they get... But at least it is not ninth circuit - the liberal hell for conservative rights...
