I don't know if any of you have seen the proposed Satanic statue for the Oklahoma Statehouse , but it is very interesting. It reminds me of a Christian Icon in reverse for it is full of symbolism. The star in reverse (the Pentagram) stands for Lucifer , 'The star of the Morning@ and it is reversed to indicate his fall from heaven. Lucifer was the first and most beautiful of all angels, the first being God created. Notice the devil is wearing an apron. Aprons are worn in a whole range of Secret Societies (Notably Freemasonary)..there are reports that members of the 33rd degree and beyond are inculcated into the true nature of Freemasonary..that it is Satanic (this goes for Europe..I am not sure about the USA). The presence of children denotes the corruption and sacrifice of children. Satan wears a cornet indicating his rulership of hell. The devil has seven animal totems , the goat, horse, rat, dog, fly and so on .The goat symbol here harks back to Hellenic goat Satyre God Pan, denoting sexual prowess and debauchery. The two raised fingers upraised indicate the one Satanic commandment, 'Do what you will, will be the whole of the law'. It is always interesting when hearing reports from places like Oklahoma and Harvard to ask yourself if these are the real deal or kind of party hatter lets pretend Satanists. I believe that iconography such as is found in Oklahoma is indicative of this. That these are people who really know what they are at. http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/blog/?p=20050
Padraig, if you notice the person Lucien Greaves that built the atrocious monument is the same person heading the black mass at Harvard Extension.
This is a good question! I believe it is because atheism is rooted in anger and needs to lash out. I have yet to meet a calm, quiet, peaceful atheist. On the surface they may appear serene, but all it takes is a little digging and the anger will manifest itself.
I always thought Thomas that logically if you do not believe agnosticism ,rather than atheism is the more logical position. Like you say so often atheists seem to have a chip on their shoulder. It seems to me the modern phenomena of Evangelical Atheism is more than a bit odd. For after all if the rest of the world wanted to believe in fairies and I do not; why should I care? I would I want to rush abut giving speeches and writing books and making utube videos against Faith? When I did not believe I never ever sort to persuade anyone they were wrong. Why would I? If they were happier believing let them believe. If being an atheist made people better , happier people then yes it would be a kind act to persuade them , but since there is no evidence of this why do it? I often wonder if people who get too caught up in argumentation are not trying most of all trying to persuade themselves. But perhaps I am being too harsh. I just think Evangelical Atheism is a contradiction in terms. Evangelical Catholicism is a different matter entirely, Jesus told us to go out and teach all Nations and this is what we should, all of us, be trying to do.
But I think true Satanism will of its very nature try to hide itself like a snake in the grass, it will not seek publicity. Though Satan and Satanism has gotten so strong in recent decades I fear they are becoming more open than in all of Christian history. But I have to say, unless human sacrifice is involved in some way I wouldn't really mark it up as the real deal. Sacrifice to me is the true mark or real Satanism. By the way the Black Mass is only one form of ritual , there others ,even older.
Naturally enough if you are murdering people as part of a ritual on a regular basis , you are not going to be issuing press releases or seeking publicity.
Excellent article. Father Roger Landry, a Harvard alumn and Fall River priest responds to Harvard Black Mass: http://www.ncregister.com/blog/joan...ks-doublestandard-for-catholics#ixzz319gILZ7o
From: http://www.ipadre.net/2014/05/how-long-before-holy-mother-church-sees-the-problem/ UPDATE: I just spoke to Priya Dua, PR director for The Satanic Temple and she has confirmed that yes, they have obtained and will use a Consecrated Host during this “re-enactment”. She is hopefully putting me in touch with someone who will answer my questions about how the Host was obtained, what they think they’re doing by using a Consecrated, as opposed to unconsecrated Host, and more. Read the rest of Elizabeth’s post . So, to my point. This stuff happens much more than you think. Remember back when someone was stealing while they videotaped it, did something sacrilegious to the Host and posted the videos on Youtube? I can’t tell you how many times priest friends and I have found hosts in missalettes, under pews, spit outside the church, or people we have chased up the aisle who had not received and either carried the host away or placed it in their pockets. I wish the group of 8 Cardinals would read and meditate on “Dominus Est – It is the Lord!” by The Most Reverend Athanasius Schneider. Do we believe that Jesus Christ is present in the Sacred Host or do we not? Some of you are probably saying: “But Father, if you only taught people how to receive, they would receive properly!” That just is not true. I have been pastor for 12 years and have preached about proper reception more than one time a year in those 12 years. For some people, it is as if I had never mentioned anything. Those are my “good”, every Sunday crew. What most people don’t take into account is the visitor who has not been to church in the last 2, 5, 10, 35, 50 + years and those who never go, but come to every funeral and wedding that takes place in every parish throughout the world. To be quite frank, I am sick and tired of seeing Our Lord abused. Liturgical abuse never seems to enter into some people’s minds. And those it does are accused of being “rigid rubricists”. Enough of the bull dung (S***) and let’s get real. This is the real world. Most of us are not saints by any stretch of the imagination. We all have a broken sinful human nature. And there are some who have evil intentions. We need to be lead like the sheep we are. It’s time to go back to receiving Holy Communion as Pope Benedict XVI taught us by his humble example – kneeling and on the tongue!" PLEASE SET AN EXAMPLE About Fr. Today is Monday the 12th May here in Australia and it is 750pm. I have one thing to say I love you Jesus in the most Blessed Sacrament. Thank you My Lord Jesus. For taking our pain and our humiliation. My God and my all. Divine Mercy, repose of hearts, peace amidst fear, I trust in you. “Most Blessed and Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for all the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.” My Dear Lord Jesus how I love thee.
The Divine Praises Blessed be God. Blessed be His Holy Name. Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man. Blessed be the name of Jesus. Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart. Blessed be His Most Precious Blood. Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy. Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Conception. Blessed be her glorious Assumption. Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother. Blessed be Saint Joseph, her most chaste spouse. Blessed be God in His angels and in His Saints. May the heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time. Amen.
My God, I believe in you, I adore you, I hope in you, and I love You. I implore pardon for those who do not believe in you , do not adore you, do not hope in you, and do not love You. Amen. Most Holy Trinity, I adore you! My God, my God, I love you in the Most Blessed Sacrament. O Jesus, this suffering, is for the love of You, in reparation for the offences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for the conversion of poor sinners.
I just want to say thank you Miriam. Prayer is powerful. We are there with Jesus tonight. You are consoling Our Lord with one of the most beautiful songs of praise that we have at our disposal. God Bless you and yours, Now and during the these times when all of hell is set loose. Wear your scapular and continue to say the rosary whenever you can. Our Lord understands us so much more than we understand ourselves. Divine Mercy, repose of hearts, peace amidst fear, I trust in you.
Oh noes... Harvard must have lost a lot of pledges and decided Catholics were not fair game cuz money. Will now be held in "middle east night club?" But even they declined. Keep up the good fight. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/theanchoress/2014/05/12/breaking-harvard-black-mass-relocating/
Per the Boston Globe, it is cancelled. Alleluia! http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/20...2817C65LAHousRIeP/story.html?s_campaign=sm_tw
In response to the black mass, there was a Eucharistic procession and holy hour at MIT in Cambridge today. The holy hour was standing room only, as you can see in th elink below. I believe this has something to do with the cancellation!! By the way, the middle east club is just a bar that usually has a lot of bands, and has nothing to do with the middle east. they might serve middle eastern food, but that is very common in that area. http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/20...ss-campus/tUjYx2817C65LAHousRIeP/picture.html
It seems there is hope -- which makes me quite glad. I think it is easy to fall into despair which is probably what the bad guys wants us to do. Then I read something like this and I am overjoyed. Great things are happening quietly, discreetly and we should be quite happy about it: http://www.aleteia.org/en/religion/...rvard-eucharistic-procession-5804052659044352
