Let me tell you about Harriet! When I was a young military wife and mother I met Harriet in Colorado Springs, Colorado and through her I learned how to love our Lord and Lady on a deeper, more serious level. Her joy and enthusiasm is contagious and she is not one to take no for an answer unless it is our Lord speaking to her, which happens every day! I called her the General back then because she is this little petite woman and she (with our Lord's go ahead) moves mountains and barely blinks. I have always admired her prayerfulness, her courage and her ability to love God above all--especially above human respect; which is rare to see. I was privileged to work with her organizing the first Marian Peace Conference in the state of Colorado. I was privileged to start the Colorado MIR Center for Peace with her and the late Paul McGinn and when she moved away it was a great loss to us there but she went on to write a wonderful book called 'Do Whatever Love Requires' with Carol Ameche and 'Return Love to Love' (under her name Harriet Hammons) This daily meditation book is truly inspired. It contains teachings from Jesus and Mary, some of the Saints as well as some from God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. These messages of love are an aid in your daily walk with the Most Holy Trinity. It gives much hope and consolation to those in need. These meditations are about Love. They are about returning love for love, To Love. This book, I think is a necessary tool for all as we journey through these times with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The meditations take you step-by-step to a personal relationship with the Most Holy Trinity. I really have enjoyed it! As you can see, I have tremendous respect for you Harriet. I love you and you will never know what your example and steadfastness and courage has taught me, especially as a young mother and wife when we worked together. May God continue to bless you!
