Yes, I made the first pilgrimage through the nearest Holy Doors, hopefully to ask for Mercy for myself.
Then I made the second pilgrimage through the Holy Doors for my husband.
And like Kathy k, our little miracle; it just so happened my husband needed to attend Saturday evening Mass ready for Sunday. He went half an hour too early by mistake and when the Priest saw him. He said "Oh, have you come for confession?" My husband did not want to admit he got the Mass time wrong and said "Yes" and he must have made the best confession ever; because when he came home, he was glowing like a little child. We don't go to vigil Mass normally which is how my husband got the time wrong. I saw the whole coincidence as a grace from the Holy Doors.

We can go as many times as we wish. We can make the pilgrimage for ourselves, our loved ones living and dead. It is a great gift to be sought if at all possible. Remember if you need to travel a distance, this is a pilgrimage and the travelling is part of the penance to obtain Mercy for ourselves and our loved ones. We could even make a pilgrimage for an unknown soul who is in danger of eternal loss I believe. Of course if it is not possible, God will understand; He is our Merciful Saviour.

It is not just Cathedrals. Check your Diocese, Shrines are also designated. So worth checking it out.

 

Here is what the Holy Doors can provide you when you enter through them, which a Bishop has decreed for the Holy Year:

PLENARY INDULGENCE. An indulgence that can remove all the temporal punishment due to forgiven sin. No one but God knows for certain when a plenary indulgence is actually gained, because only he knows whether a person's dispositions are adequate. One norm for such dispositions is that "all attachment to sin, even venial sin, be absent." If these dispositions are in any way less than complete, the indulgence will be only partial. The same provision applies to the three external conditions necessary to gain a plenary indulgence: sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Pope. If these conditions are not satisfied, an otherwise plenary indulgence becomes only partial. These conditions may be satisfied several days before or after the performance of the prescribed work, though preferably Communion should be received and the prayers offered for the Pope on the same day as the indulgenced work. A plenary indulgence can be gained only once a day.

PARTIAL INDULGENCE. An indulgence that removes part of the temporal punishment due to forgiven sin. All particularities in terms of days, months, or years are now removed from partial indulgences. The new norm is based on the dispositions of the person gaining the indulgence and the character of the indulgenced work that person performs.

 

Oh, and for those who can't make the journey to Holy Doors. The Sunday after Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday. You can receive the Indulgence at your own local Church every year as long as you make a good confession and receive Holy Communion on that Sunday. Don't forget a prayer for the Holy Father. So no worries if the Holy Doors are not within you reach.

There is also the possibility of asking your parish Priest if a group could club together and get a coach so you could travel together and have a parish Pilgrimage. Just a thought.

It feels like Holy Father Francis is following on from Saint John Paul the Great, for he is literally throwing open the doors of Divine Mercy for a whole year. Just think, if we lived like saints we could make 366 pilgrimages; yes this is a leap year so He/he has chosen a year with an extra day for good measure. Merciful Jesus, I trust in Thee.

 

Ok you have enlightened me. I will lead our family through the doors physically

 

My reading the messenger Kathy k linked for a couple of years, Kevin Barrett, he receives teaching messages to correct the heresies. Then, when our Protestant brothers and sisters discuss them, there is a block on faith alone and another heresy, imputed righteous (Jesus did it all on the Cross) even though Kevin's messages say these two aren't true. There are usually a lot more responses because they don't believe the corrections. Their replies, we can do nothing (faith alone), for it is Jesus' finished work. Boy, is there a difference in Catholic and Protestant belief on justification.

I wish and we pray that Protestants could better see about repentance and confession of our mortal (1 John 5:16) sins. His way, God very gently explains in Kevin's messages. From the above message:

"Oh, no longer believe the false teachers and prophets who say that My Bride shall be spotless and without blemish merely because of My blood covering her sin. For even though I am full of mercy and My blood DOES cleanse all repented and forgiven sin, this alone does not make My Bride sinless and perfect. For as I have promised in My word, I shall remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh, and this heart of flesh shall be one with Me. And in this, you shall be holy as I am holy."

P.S. Protestants receive a few tough messages but we do a lot more (Light of Mary). To me, God is being very gentle now in their prophetic because they have much to accept they were never taught when prophesied events take place, the Warning.

THE TRUMPETS SOUND, WILL YOUR FAITH STAND THE TEST

Daughter, it is I, the Lamb of God, the Most High, Creator of all who was slain for the sins of the world, and who rose from the dead that gives you these words this day.
I have been talking this past week about faith; not just any faith, not just a small amount of faith, but great and radical faith. This is what I am asking of My people, My called-out ones, My remnant Bride. This kind of faith is changing the world. This kind of faith resurrects Me in this realm, displays My glory, causes the ears that are deaf to hear, and the eyes that are blind to see. This faith moves souls to seek Me. Display this faith for all to see and marvel at what I can and will do. I tell you, nothing is impossible for Me! What I am about to do here in this place is beyond your imaginations. You would not believe it even if it were told you!
My people are still struggling with lack of faith, but this cannot be so, not when all is being over-turned, not when all foundations are crumbling, not when all you have known will be challenged and your trials will become more severe. All I allow in your lives, all I present to you, is done in order to allow you a choice. Should you continue to choose total surrender, obedience and trust, I draw you closer. I reveal more of My heart to those who come to a place of emptiness, broken-ness, and contriteness. Did I not tell you all that can be shaken will be shaken? Relationships, finances, residences, all of it. I alone must be your source. You must trust Me as an innocent child trusts his/her parent, knowing I have your best interests at heart, knowing I will not forsake you, knowing that I have the outcome, no matter what things may seem from your perspective. Adopt My perspective. Learn My Word. It only speaks truth and life. It is your eternal promise of all I will do and of who I am. It is all you need to finish your race strong. Remember, the victory is already won at Calvary. You in Me cannot be defeated.
Every challenge and circumstance, every situation I present or allow is an opportunity for growth. I do not challenge you to punish you, but rather to love you enough to offer a chance for greater intimacy and depth in our relationship. Does My Word not speak of forsaking all to follow Me? Does it speak of not caring what you eat, what you wear, or where you lay your head? Does it tell you that no matter what happens in your life, whether you are imprisoned or free, naked or clothed, rich or poor, when you have Me, you have everything. Am I not your all in all? Those who learn this truth and find the peace that is given in full surrender are My over-comers. These are the set-apart ones who are being and will continue to be used mightily to bring in the final harvest. When life does not offer you a way to steer, when there are no oars, no paddles, and no back-up plans, what is your foundation? How far will you allow Me to go with you, with us, in order that you achieve the fullness of what has been purposed for you since before the foundation of time? Do you not want to hear, "well done thou good and faithful servant"? Do you want to leave this place with unfinished work for Me?
I have called you to operate in a level of faith that anchors the finished work of Calvary here in this realm. By operating in this level in all aspects of your lives here, whether it be in relationships, employment, or finances, you walk in harmony with My perfect will, therefore drawing to you all the blessings, protection, and provisions already reserved for you from before the foundation of time. Being in harmony with My will for you is a force and has a magnetic effect in all areas of your life. Walking in the victorious finished work of the Cross demands that the authority given to you through My sacrifice and who you are in Me must be respected in the physical. This is how My sons and daughters are to take their rightful positions. This is so powerful My friends! For operating in this level of faith not only draws Me to you, but it also serves to open the doorways in everyone around you in order that they too can receive what is rightfully theirs when they have made their choice to receive Me.
Take My hand, allow Me to take your heart, and keep it until I come for you. Trust Me for the outcome of everything that is happening in your life that is seemingly not in your control. Trust in Me, your Father, who cares more for you, more than anyone could, as I am your Creator. I know your thoughts and your desires better than you know them yourself. It is I who placed these within you. Allow Me to develop you into the purified and undefiled vessel you were destined to be. Now is the time.
I have warned and warned about all that is coming, and now it is here. It is upon you. You are witnessing events and judgments that have been spoken of for some time. I am faithful to My Word; it will not return to Me void. My fire of refinement will purge, and it will purify, but I will draw beauty for ashes. Give to Me your desires, your weariness, your burdens, your disappointments and your fears. Lay them at the altar for Me to burn. Reach deeply within and give Me EVERYTHING. Hold on to nothing, for nothing is too great for the Great I AM. I will guard your heart and give you the peace that surpasses all understanding in the storms. Do you believe this? What must I do to show you? Cry out to Me and I will draw near to you, for you are precious and wonderfully made, and My love will bathe you and comfort you. This life is nothing compared to eternity My loves, keep this perspective. I would not tell you this if is was not so.
Look to the east, there is coming a dreadful and terrible war, one that will be like no other. Prepare your hearts, for as you see these things come, sudden destruction also comes to the west. Open defiance in the earth has reached new heights, therefore, My judgments will be swift and they will be terrifying. Much blood will be shed. Many lives will be lost. I make kingdoms rise, and I make them fall, and all in this earth will come down before I restore and renew, and My eternal Kingdom takes the place of all that was. The Day of the Lord is great and it is terrible. Who shall stand? Who shall endure it? Of this truth I say, My holy ones will stand. They who have been placed here for this time to usher in My Glory and My Majesty... they will shine like the brightest stars as My love will radiate through them in this final hour.

So I ask you this, will you be found faithful? Will you be among those counted worthy? Will you be found walking in obedience, truth and love? Will you forsake all else to follow Me? This world offers you nothing. I promise you everything. Choose this day My loves, the trumpets of judgment are here.


My over-comers (Remnant Bride):
- you are faced with challenges/circumstances/situations

 - this is the continual fire of refinement I pour out

 - there is always free will in your response


 -you can limit what I will do, or

 -you can walk in an increased measure of faith

 -walking in an increased level of faith will allow Me to
pour new wine into new wineskins

 -vestiges of soul/self will continue to melt away

 -meaning less of you, and more of Me

 -I will then bring more severe trials/challenges

 -and the result, when you continually surrender is ultimately
totally emptied vessels

 -I can then transform you and indwell you completely from
the inside out

 -you have the victory when you are no longer shaken or moved
by any external or outside forces, and

 -you have forsaken all else to follow My will for your lives

 -hence, you become My pure, undefiled, emptied Bride who
then is glorified and ready to gather the end time harvest

Wow. This speaks to me as Truth. We have to let go of all worldly things and Trust God completely and let Him guide our steps, one by one: "Am I not your all in all? Those who learn this truth and find the peace that is given in full surrender are My over-comers. These are the set-apart ones who are being and will continue to be used mightily to bring in the final harvest."

 

Powerful message indeed. Our Lord continues to speak and teach living in the Divine Will. This message is also an echo of Ralph Martin's prophecy at Rome in 1975.

 

These quotes are specific, and they say "now", "this day", not future.

We try to discern when warnings from heaven ring true, and most here are listening for prophetic warnings, while asking for graces of this discernment. I sense that these are genuine, along with Luz de Maria, and Charlie Johnston (as well as Garabandal and Fatima, among others).

We can also see the signs in global events, and in the polarization of the spiritual battle that is raging. My only problem is that so many warnings, from these same sources I have listed, (including this one), have helped us prepare, and have now indicated that we are in the midst of the tribulation and the storm, and of judgements and chastisements................but it seems that every aspect of economic, political, social and religious life continues on as if nothing large is either happening or looming.

• Just watch secular national news: All you get in the U.S. is election coverage on Clinton, Trump, etc., and other propaganda.
• Or follow local news, and its even more pathetic.
• Or listen to Catholic radio or TV, and there is no hint of awareness of the times we are in. Yes there is valuable catechizing happening here, but sometimes its just not focused enough, with enough urgency, because Fatima, Divine Mercy, Revelation, Matthew 24, and the like are never considered near to the world, and are always assumed to be for future generations.....
• Or talk to friends and other Catholics and Protestant Christians. Most appear to be unaware, and are not interested in hearing any warnings.
• Or go to mass and never hear any homily that touches on the nearness of prophetic fulfillment.
• Or just observe for yourself: No actual economic collapse has occurred, no major volcanoes or earthquakes have occurred outside the norm, no major war has actually been waged with the major players, the U.S. political battle wages on as normal (progressives versus conservatives, as usual), no major supernatural signs have happened, no pole shift, no planet X, etc., etc., etc.

I am just frustrated that while things are swirling out of control, and I believe we are on the precipice.....everything still appears so "in control", and its to the detriment of MOST people being kept blissfully unaware by their collective sources of truth.....

Yes, it is a miracle that everything seems to be holding together.

But is like a stack of cards about to fall. I think the recent warning indicate that the collapse is getting closer --

But when it does happen we will lament for this period of normalcy and control because ultimately we are going into the greatest collapse in History. I know we deserve it but who really wants that?

When things go it will be horrendous and indeed it will be the toppling of the economic, social and political order -- chaos and disorder, hunger and violence will become the new norm.

 

..but it seems that every aspect of economic, political, social and religious life continues on as if nothing large is either happening or looming....

I think this too, and posted about it a while ago. I work with colleagues and teenagers who seem deaf and blind.

However, over the last year, I have given away about 30 miraculous medals to friends and family. Mostly they are amused, but they carry them in purses and wallets and it makes me feel I am doing something.

My mother in law lives in Europe and whilst we were there last summer I gave her one on our last day. I was very worried that she was far away and the thought just popped into my head to give her mine.

Out of the blue she has rented a small house near our home for a year whilst they decide what to do with their home in the sun. I know this is just a little thing, but I trust these little things are important, even if we don't see them so easily.

Here is what I believe Jon. For those who see that we are no longer in the first winds of the tribulation, but perhaps the high winds, closing in on the heart of the hurricane, we have been blest through our faith, unlike those in Noah's time who laughed, drank and carried on with their sinfulness right up to the day of the great flood that swallowed them all up and the world was purified in a very short moment.

I also look at it like the frog in the water syndrome. I am sure everyone has heard it, but I see it so clearly with everything you mentioned Jon. If you put a frog in normal temp water in a pan and slowly heat it up, you will boil the frog to death before it recognizes it. But if you put a frog in boiling water it will recognize the heat immediately and jump out of the pan. There are so few it seems that understand this world is cooking them alive and so they remain in the boiling water of life because it feels good to them still. They have already boiled their souls in the sins of this world and if were not for our loving God's mercy and the final gift of his ultimate mercy through the Warning, they will not have a chance to jump out of this world and into God's grace before they die in their sins. Bottom line, God has a plan. I see it, you see it, but most in the world do not have a clue. God's day to clue them in is any time now. Any time. Pray, pray, pray.

 

I agree with you.....and I know this time of delayed justice is a blessing for us to prepare spiritually and physically, and to pray for ourselves and others, and to help others become aware.

But I am still somewhat frustrated that the warnings being trumpeted have not been validated, because even if there were some tangible, minor validations we could point to, it would help others to wake up (in my opinion).

But as Padraig said, eyes have been blinded and hearts have been hardened, and it is God's plan, not mine....

 

The Hand of God is here, no doubt about it.

When you and I view the news we see a completely different picture than someone from a secular viewpoint.

The world is toppling on the edge of a cliff --

But I am happy if we are given a few more months --

An EMP Event would certainly "Get Our Attention" and could well fit into any number of ancient/modern End Times prophecies! It's been 12 years since Congress was warned in hearings that a man-made or Solar EMP "Event" could end our "Way of Life" ... and in a worse case end the lives of 80+% of the population. As far as I know, absolutely nothing has been done to harden our Electric Grid! The amount of $$$ needed to do that task is a small % of the $$$$ that has been squandered by Obama/Pals on Union Pay-Offs, Green Boondoggles and Vote-Buying. It's just another "SIGN", to me anyway, that some Evil Force is at work to "blind" and misguide ......... and The Storm?:
