I have recieved over the years, but more so recently messages from people naturally worried and concerned about events and the Chastisement that is laready upon us. People not only concerned but asking for prayers and advice.

The first thing I would say is that often I am frightened myself when I think on these things. It would be too easy for me to be a hypocrite and say, 'Don't worry', when I very much do worry myself. The more so since I do not have a family and children to worry about , I still worry.

It is not a constant thing but sometimes when I hear of specific events on the news, I do get the shivers, more so recently. Also I have a very good life. I enjoy it. My father used to say to me, 'What are you looking forward to now?' My answer now would be that i have so many things to look forward too I enjoy life and don't want to loose it or s man y of the good things life brings.

But all things in proportion. St Paul said that from the veiwpoint of Eternity the things we endure in this prestn life are not worth comparing to the joys to come. So I know we are only pilgrims passing through.

I also know from my own spiritual life that we are never closer to Christ that when we hang on the Cross. Als that times of suffering and Darkness are times of huge spiritual acceleration , like a huge furnace that burns the dross and remakes us into the image of Christ.

But what mostly comforts me is that coming events wil lsave souls from the fires of hell. If things were to stand as they are , the world growing colder and colder from lack of love by far, I bleive the greater proportion of mankind would find itself in hell. How can I say such a terrible thing? Well look at tthe words of your Catholic Catechism on prayer. It repeats the words of St Alphonsus Ligouri. 'Those who pray will be most certainyl be saved; those who do not rpay will most certainly be damned' and the bottom line is that folks, on the whole in the West are just not praying. Those who do pray are very, very often praying in a very infrequent and disultory manner.

The events to come are simply God putting on the rbakes. Whilst this is an act of Justice the intention is one of mercy.

God is about to break, but inbreaking it is His intention to remake.

We walk into a Darkness it is true. The greatest Darkness manking has faced since the Dawn of Tme. But we do not, any of us walk alone. Chrsit walks there with us. We only have to reach out an hold His hand and we will be together, through every step, through ever breath, through every secnd of everyminute of every day ahead..and if Chirst is with us; who can be against us?

The funny thing is that at the time of hanging on the cross with Jesus we are not normally aware of it at first, but then the good Lord shows us that we are hanging on the cross next to Him, So Humbling.

At times I want this wait to be over , as it is so painful, and that His Great Omnipotence be known now to all people.

But He makes me realise that He is in charge and is doing SOOOOO much that I could never comprehend and I say , Dearest Lord your will be done not mine.

    St Joseph pray for us.
