I am not arguing about the validity of Verne's messages or the picture from Cletus. I am just saying there are plenty of examples of pictures or statues throughout our Catholic history that are tied to healings and miracles so it is not that hard for me to believe in that sort of thing.
All I can tell you is that God can appear however his will desires. After all, God is a spirit and not human. This picture was given for a specific time and purpose. Look at the different ways the Blessed Mother has appeared through history. It is most important to realize God has everything under control and will lead his people into the seventh and eighth days of creation.

I won't again think or say "You Protestants are ardent in your love of Christ with only a devotion to the written Word." Beautiful, they are being helped too with special graces. Verne: God took all those home who were righteous before the flood. Only Noah and his family entered the ark. The flood was not for the righteous. In this instance, the person's had to die to be spared God's wrath. Jesus and the Blessed mother have been warning us for yrs to prepare. A question I was asked by God was, do you really comprehend what it will be like to survive those days? Even the living will envy the dead. Only those who trust in God 100% will survive those days. It is very hard for us here in the U.S. especially, to think of the Great Tribulation for not very often have we done without. And our never being refugees like tens of thousands around the world are right now. I do not want anymore things. Oh and another, your background, the rapture, various objections, etc, you understand from a non-Catholic Christian view. What a help in the Great Harvest.
I said what I did about God the Father being young because of this image. Barbara Centilli painted it. Her revelations entitled, Seeing With the Eyes of the Soul. And, the thing, er, revelation, that everyone in Heaven is young. God the Father is the oldest and the wisest but forever young so He reveals Himself both ways.
Jackie, it just goes to show that God can use a simple-sinfull servant to touch others if we let him. We just have to be willing to show others what was shown to us. I sometimes wonder how many people God has put in our lives to help and how many we have sadly walked away from helping and not knowing it. I can't tell you how many people I have tried to share the Fatima story with and they could care less, yet it is what turned my life around. I suppose we are all in this same boat with the deaf ears of relatives and friends.
Correct me if I am wrong, I didn't go back to check. I read, the painter for Mother Eugenia's image of God the Father got it wrong, painting the Father with a beard. The Icon image doesn't have a beard so a young God the Father. Another example though there are more of an older looking God the Father. I put both images in frames at home. p.s. Mother Eugenia did ask the painter initially to paint God the Father without a beard. Here is explanation why the upset over this. I just wanted to share this. My mom showed me a plack which I made at about 12 yrs of age. When you have nothing left but God, then for the first time you realize that God is enough and that Jesus Christ is Lord. I think this is more profound than I realize. Maybe this is where our nation must go, we must lose everything before we repent and turn back to God. The good news is that all power belongs to Jesus Christ and he will take care of everything.
This seems to be the constant message of our Lord and His mother. America will have to learn how to love God and not the things we cling to. I for one, long for a life of simplicity when we can speak of God and his truth without shame or scorn or the indifference that is so apparent in our country today. Social Justice in our part of the world takes a front seat to the interior life. It is popular in most settings to feed the homeless, but how hard it is, even in our youth faith formation classes to speak about the mysteries of our Lord without complete bordem by the youth. Forget about the adults, they don't have any time for spiritual formation. We have had world renown evangelist and apologist Raymond De Souza at our parish more than once, only to have 5-10 people attend. Yes, we need stripped of everything that entertains us so we can find God in our families and churches again.

Fatima, you said this very well. My husband and college age kids only see the liberal's Social Justice issue. The problem is spiritual, the loss of the Faith. Yeah, mainly these days really knowing the Faith so hardly any conversion, the desire to live the Faith.
Here I am again Fatima . Thank you for posting this, helps us to fret less about the Warning experience. And... I underlined one sentence. I've been thinking, to put up at three Adoration Chapels close to me, a reminder to pray more "divine mercy chaplets." I would keep it short, mentioning the offering of every word for a soul and include a small divine mercy image on it. I gotta do it.

He was a murderer from the beginning. I will ask you several questions throughout this message. Is it my will for you to take another’s life? Are you the creator of life? War, suffering, and death are not my will for my children, but came as a result of sin. As you know, I gave my only Son Jesus as the antidote to these problems. But you still live in a world that does not follow my commandments. My Son came to fulfill the law, not abolish it. My Son came to bring life and peace to my children. Not hatred and violence. I am calling you to a higher standard. My standard is the standard of love. Even though my children rebel against their Father, I still love them. My Son gave you the example of how I take care of both the good and the bad. He told you to love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that persecute you and calumniate you, that you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven. Only I, your Creator, have both the right to create life and take life: not mankind or Satan. Because sin exists in your world, many lives are taken in ways not according to my will. I have given mankind a free will to choose right and wrong. Just because I allow you the freedom to choose between good and evil, does not mean I approve of your choices. I will respect your freedom to choose. That is how much I love you. To repeat myself again, those of you who call yourself my children, live the higher standard of love. The final point I want to teach you is this: Do you truly trust in your Father’s protection? My son told you I will love and make my abode with you. Read Psalm 90:1. The Creator, your Heavenly Father of all that is seen and unseen. Why is your faith so small? Take my promises literally and trust in me. I told you the God of Heaven will be your protection. The difficulty is you do not realize the power of your God or place your full trust in him. I want you to consider your 4-month-old son Tristin. He trusts you completely that you will provide and protect him. You are that child and I am your Father. If you come to me as a little child and trust in me, I will protect and provide for you. Even if a gun is fired at you, I can protect you. If it is not my will for you to die, I will protect you. Remember, Almighty God, your Father, lives within you and is with you every moment. Is anything too hard for me? I created all the forces of this universe. Do you really believe I cannot deflect a bullet? I will protect him because he has known my name. That is your key. You have to learn to know me first. Look at the example of my Son. Many people tried to kill him, but he only suffered and died when it was his time. As the days become more evil, I will show my mighty hand of protection over my children. It will confound both the evil ones and the powers of hell. Trust in your Heavenly Father, and I will take care of all your needs. Ponder on this. If war was my will, why am I going to bring an era of peace to mankind and as my word says, and war will be no more. Is your God too small or your concept of God too small? Infant Prague, I think you miss the point of our Lord's message. It is the same message that he gave to Peter "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword". Our Lord desires us to put our trust in him, not in weapons. We all know there is a just war and right to defend yourself against an agressor principle, but our Lord wants us to also understand that in the times ahead the only real protection we will have is prayer and trust in Him.
