Oh Denise I just know exactly what you mean! And you have covid too I am so sorry to hear it. My husband too seems to be getting better much faster. I too pray hope and try not to worry about all these heartaches. Let's join our prayers for our children together with everyone else in this dilemma. I expect these recent trials are actually a gift from Our Lord to offer up for our loved ones. I am trying to see it that way. Hope you are cured very quickly!
Beautiful Sparrow. I too place them in the chalice at every Mass. I do think the graces of their baptism and confirmation will supply what is needed at the crisis point. A baseline is so important.

When I thought about this I thought at once of the Message of Our Lady of Akita that Fire would fall from the sky. Some people take this to mean Nuclear War . Fear at what he sees coming? For a person of faith that is understandable. I think reassurance of God's abiding love is key. The Bible is full of promises that the Father will not let us down. "No one who ever hoped in Me was disappointed."(Isaiah 49) And many more like that. Its a chance for him to really really trust in Jesus. Maybe advise him to take authority over the spirit of fear in Jesus's Name and send it to the Cross? Just my thoughts.
I do not believe any fulfillment of those words is that close at hand. However, I do not plan on being far from home beginning in October, 2023. I am thankful our bi-annual family reunion will be this April in Colorado. Cover us with your Mantle, Queen of Heaven!

miker, The pressure on young parents today is very intense due to the state of the world. When my career job shut down in 2001, we were faced with 6 years of financial instability. Trusting in the Lord was difficult as my self-worth was diminished and we still had 4 at home. but God saw us through. My children currently have their trials, three of them with young families. But God has been there and will be there for them as he was for us at the turn of the century. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
It wasn't that long ago that I had young children... The youngest is 7 now. It is a very, very testing - and exhausting, place to be - particularly with work etc on top of raising the youngsters. My wife and I somehow got thru it.... Looking back though, it was only by the grace of God. I'll pray that your son gets through it too.
I pray very very often for the members of this forum and for their families. I know we all have so many concerns about our children and spouses. We seem to pray quite well for each other.
Thanks Terry. She just graduated from the nurse anesthetist program at Pitt, and she and her new husband are on their honeymoon in Patagonia. I’ve told her that I’ll never give up praying for her reversion. It’s a hard pill to swallow!
No. We live in Georgia but she just accepted a job at the Duke teaching hospital in Durham, NC. Her husband can mostly work from anywhere. Her mentors at Pitt told her that if she put in 3 years at Duke she could work anywhere there after. She worked at Emory teaching hospital and really likes that environment. They are eager to start a family in the next year so I hope the Lord leads her back to her faith soon! Thanks for offering up your fasting for her tomorrow.
